I see the whole thing pretty relaxed. When Konosora was released is was a brand new high quality VN amongst lots of old and average stuff. At that time it stood out and therefore it did really hurt that it was censored that way.
But nowadays there are so many new and good releases from all kinds of publishers that it got almost impossible to keep up with all the new stuff anyway. So I'm almost grateful to get a reason to skip this one - there are lots of replacements to fill the gap.
Moenovel doesn't care even the slightest bit about the English fan base, they only care about their sales. They therefore never had to reconsider their policy since Konosora sold great. So if anyone really wants Moenovel to get a change of mind, the best thing is to just not buy the title in this state. If sales are poor they might reconsider, but if sales are still good, why should they change anything?

I don't like Insem translation for 3 reasons:
First it was translated from CHINESE to english, meaning it was a Japanese -> Chinese -> English translation.
Second Insem kicked off from the team anyone that dared to suggest that his translation was in serious need of TLC and editing because it was crap and badly written (though it probably wouldn't have fixed the inherent problems with a J->C->E translation and the fact that Insem isn't really a great writter).
Third Insem is an asshole and a racist.

While the thought makes certainly sense, Japanese VN developers seem to 'click' in a different way and they usually seem to ask "Why not this older game?" instead.
When MangaGamer got involved with AliceSoft they had to start with Beat Blades Haruka from the Bronze Age despite wanting a newer (or any) Rance title, and when they had a short deal with Lilith, they just got some titles from the Stone Age (which might be a reason why their relationship ended soon). Fortunately, we didn't have to endure a title from the early Cretaceaus period - meaning pre 2000 - yet. 
So Japanese VN developers seem to be rather protective about their newer and better titles.

It's clear from what I've saw that quite a lot of people want this VN localized. What's more, I took a look through Lune's Twitter and found this:

Judging from his surprise, until 4/18/2016, no one had actually asked him about localization. His response, however, seemed to be in favor of English localizations and releases. So that's a good sign for localization odds.
I suggest that anyone who wants a Youkoso! Sukebe Elf no Mori e  Western release like I do email [email protected] and ask them about it, and also to ask for this VN when Mangagamer's annual licensing survey comes up again. And SPREAD THE WORD.

It's been quite a while since the last update, but happily enough, progress has actually resumed. I don't have all that much progress to report, but the digit on the translated and edited percentage counters bumped up, so I figured it was worth a post here:

Okay, so they changed their policy from 12 year old girls to horny 14 year olds. 
The issue still remains that they are censoring all their games. You speak as if removing all 18+ content from eroge isn't censorship. If they made proper all-ages ports, that would be something, but they just straight up cut out all 18+ material. That's taking 3 steps back from all the good stuff that has happened to the western VN market the past few years, which is why this company angers me greatly. They represent what's wrong with VN localization. 

The circle does that because that is the literal reason why Moenovel censored If my heart had wings in the first place. They wanted to market eroge to kids, for some absurd reason, and stuck with that policy.
There is nothing special about that one CG with some soap over a nipple in LoveKami; even If my heart had wings had certain "slightly lewd" CGs still intact, just censored. There is tons of other CGs they just straight up removed from Love Kami, without replacing them with anything. These aren't all-ages ports, they are just the normal version with content literally cut out.
You might be fine with having your games censored, but many people people aren't. I personally won't support a company that keeps doing this. Lucky for me I can read the original, but that's not the case for many western fans, so when a game gets censored without any way to restore the original content, it's stuck in that incomplete version forever or until some saint like Pabloc shows up to fix Moenovel's mess. (And people who are willing to do that are rare.)

Personally i want to see moenovel fail with their next releases. The way they have handled the western vn marked just seems really bad. 
First there is konosora that they just censored the hell out of, so they could aim for the huge audience of 12 year old french girls just dying to get into enlish translated vns.
Then it seemed like they had better strategy with the lovekami spinn offs, while the games weren't really good atleast from what we could see in the start it did not have an 18+ edition and therefore it didn't seem like anything was cut. Then they come out with info of the release of the japanese version which is the true full game with the 18+ content that seemed to have been planed all along. They even had the balls to promote the game for the japanese audience by using the fact that the game had been released in english and that the japanese people would exclusively get the 18+ content. Whatever their initial intent was this just looks really bad. First they made the people in the west think that what they got was the full game. Then they release the game for the japanese audience promoting their bellow average game through the fact that it had been released in the west and that the japanese would get a better edition.
This action seems much more like an exploitation of the western vn fanbase rather than something made to please the fanbase. Looking at the cg from the 18+ version and knowing the general quality of the vns i don't think we missed out on much in the case of lovekami, however my principle is that i want the full experience of a vn with nothing cut. So atleast personally this pissed me of and from what i can see moenovel just doesn't seem to respect the western vn fanbase at all.

I have continuously requested feedback from MoeNovel on twitter with regards to the adult (original) version of the game, yet they ignore those questions. The fact that they so blatantly ignore such a common (and thus important) question is basically the same as saying "No, you won't get it".
The IMHHW restoration patch turned out well, so I hope this one gets the same kind of TLC.

And from checking the vndb, I doubt we will be getting an 18+ version unless someone makes a restoration patch. Fuck.

I definitly would love to see the Fairytale trilogy (Requiem, Encore and Symphony) in english!

Huge props to Liarsoft for demonstrating alot of originality and diversity in their titles as Liarsoft is one of the very few VN dev who don't try to ride the easy mainstream wave and go with school settings, I don't have anything against school settings but when literally 95% of VN have a school or school-ish setting it really start to become monotonous.

Fairytale Requiem as stated above, or another Steampunk VN, as I love the series (even though they did not even start working on Sona-Nyl yet). Hikari no Valusia or Gahkthun's fan disk being announced would me me pretty happy.

Clover Day's is absolutely awesome, I haven't fapped to enjoyed a moege so much ever.

I have now completed 96% of Anzu's route  Left just enough to maintain the anticipation for one more week (not intentionally mind you.)

Smaller update this week but I've now translated ~87% of Anzu's route.

Taking a small break for family vacation at the moment and will restart on the translation from next week. The good news is I should be done with the remainder of the translation within 3 weeks after that barring other interruptions.
