  1. It is worth noting that Kickstarter doesn't allow adult content, so they are likely trying to skirt the rules by being coy about it. https://www.kickstarter.com/rules/prohibited
  2. ? Where does it say that it was censored and the 18+ content was removed?
  3. Link "Your Waifu Foxgirl Konko" was originally released in Japanese by a Japanese doujin circle named "Megami Soft" under the name "Konko to no Nichijou ~Bocchi de Kawaikute Hottokenai Youko~" (Daily life with Konko ~A cute loner foxgirl that you just can't leave alone~). After the initial release release, a Japanese crowdfunding campaign to implement Live2D animation was launched in March 2019. This project was a huge success (Funding Goal: 500%) and Megami Soft is currently implementing Live2D to the game. This game is a communication tool which allows players to get to know Konko, the heroine of this game. It has no ending and the unique style of play has captivated many users. basically this is a cute foxgirl bishoujo game and it's looking for kickstarter money to localize it successfully there's only less than a month left so if you like this kickstarter please spread the word (via Twitter and the other social media platforms) and get more people to contribute the world needs more bishoujo games and this is our chance
  4. It's time. All of us need to contact ALL of our friends/contacts/associates and ask them to ask Mangagamer for a partnership with Lune. Tell them to tell Mangagamer to license Youkoso! Sukebe Elf no Mori e/ ようこそ! スケベエルフの森へ https://vndb.org/v20464 and/or tell them to tell Mangagamer to license some of Lune's older titles as well. Aku no Onna Kanbu 1 is actually a pretty good VN to license as well. SPREAD THE WORD and LET'S DO THIS.

  7. @Nandemonai Well Lune seems to be nice on their Twitter and are retweeting stuff from other eroge companies, so I wouldn't quite dismiss it as a "vague, non-commital response that expresses their non-opposition in theory to the idea, maybe, in the undefined future sometime". Also Mangagamer is going to release their licensing survey soon. When the time comes and the licensing survey drops, all of us need to contact ALL of our friends/contacts/associates and ask them to ask Mangagamer for a partnership with Lune. 8. Nutaku is a piece of censoring garbage, and Steam is a DRM piece of censoring garbage. Tell both of them to stop being asinine, boycott both of them, and move on.

  10. @ChaosRaven The following info is from what I've read off of some now defunct site which I can't remember where. I can't attest to its accuracy, but the conjecture seems sound: I believe part of that has to do with price. VNs in the West generally have a lower market price than in Japan, possibly due to Westerners not being used to such a price point. Japanese VN developers don't want their Japanese audience to reverse import VNs at lower prices, so they generally localize old titles that have already been bought by most of their Japanese audience. That said, it's still worth asking for newer titles localized like Youkoso! Sukebe Elf no Mori e . It's popular, the company seems willing to go for it sooner or later, and an English release in a few years or so is better than no English release at all.
  11. @Ryechu @Nier Reposting this from the other topic as well, because this is relevant: Update: There's a pretty good chance that Youkoso! Sukebe Elf no Mori e/ ようこそ! スケベエルフの森へ https://vndb.org/v20464 could get a localization and a Western release It's clear from what I've saw that quite a lot of people want this VN localized. What's more, I took a look through Lune's Twitter and found this: https://twitter.com/luneman_etc/status/721869236910448641 Judging from his surprise, until 4/18/2016, no one had actually asked him about localization. His response, however, seemed to be in favor of English localizations and releases. So that's a good sign for localization odds. I suggest that anyone who wants a Youkoso! Sukebe Elf no Mori e Western release like I do email [email protected] and ask them about it, and also to ask for this VN when Mangagamer's annual licensing survey comes up again. And SPREAD THE WORD.

  13. I've been thinking about Mangagamer's licensing survey thing, even though it hasn't been put up yet, I had been curious about how likely it was that Youkoso! Sukebe Elf no Mori e/ ようこそ! スケベエルフの森へ https://vndb.org/v20464 could get a localization and a Western release. AFAIK, Lune hasn't partnered with Mangagamer yet. The question I have for you guys is, how likely do you think any company that is currently not localizing or releasing in the West to go for Western releases? Feel free to make this topic a sort of list on how specific eroge companies feel about Western releases.
  14. Honestly, there are some nasty problems looming on the horizon in terms of sustainability for the otaku lifestyle. Even disregarding the immediate problem of nuclear war with North Korea which threatens to nuke the birthplace of the otaku lifestyle and US, Japan is really the only country where we get this degree of high quality doujinshi, manga, anime, light novels, visual novels, and eroge. These are the roots, so to speak, of the otaku lifestyle. The roots of the otaku lifestyle need to be spread across the globe for a sustainable future. I am personally interested in this occurring because pretty much everything that I care about entertainment-wise has some kind of influence from Japan. In terms of problems facing such a spread that I know of, there are several. The first is that the Japanese art quality is considerably higher than the rest of the world's. There needs to be some sort of learning "framework" transplanted from Japan to the rest of the world to bring up the rest of the world's art quality. The world's overall lack of art skill is a significant roadblock that needs to be addressed. The second is cultural. People need to get over their absurd fear of sexuality, goddammit. 2D hentai never hurt anyone, and censoring it is retarded. Get rid of the Japan censorship law while you're at it, that thing's dumb. The third is copyright. The current copyright rules in a lot of places is retarded; there needs to be greater protection for fan-created content to provide a monetary incentive for artists and people to get good at art, produce doujinshi, and overall raise the global art quality through the roof. DMCAing fan-content is retarded, improve the copyright laws please. The fourth is, you guys need to actually spread this shit around the globe. Take this through Twitter, Facebook, whatever you guys are using to communicate in this day and age. TELL EVERYONE. I'm asking you guys for help because I'm a hermit who has basically no contacts and has no idea where to post this. So I decided to post this here. There needs to be a discussion about this. tl;dr make the world's art quality better by getting a "framework" for improving art quality from Japan, tell the world to get over its stupid fear of sexuality, and improve rights for fan-created content by improving the stupid copyright laws. And TELL EVERYONE about this. Retweet, etc. There needs to be a discussion about this. https://pastebin.com/3n5bEdDX
