I feel bad for people who can't enjoy sci-fi time travel stories that are reasonably explained within the confines of their ingame lore because of 'plot holes'

I can't think of anything. To make a statement about Fuwanovel in a nutshell without joking sounds way too boring to me, because it's basically "Cool VN fans who have a great knowledge of the Japanese language and wanna share that world of VNs with the world." Yeah, that's pretty cool and all, but it's not really an interesting statement. 
Next person doesn't really like people who don't take things seriously...

In other words, the WORST protagonist ever, lol.  Fiction is, at least partly so, about escapism... why the hell would I want to experience the point of view of someone who is average/normal/below-average?  lol

I prefer OP protags over whiney manbitches Maybe it's my age showing, or my former normie status - but I just can't identify with the ignorant, low-confidence protags anymore. I need it to be a man that has his shit together at least abit - even better if he's not a complete douche to the people around him~
 
That being said, I've honestly forgotten what KSs' protag was like (been at least 3-4 years?), but I seem to remember getting pissed off at him more then once. But on the other hand, I remember being able to empathize with him for certain situations~

Why, yes of course. I love reading about boring, normal people with nothing going for them whatsoever when it comes to my fiction. Why wouldn't I? 

I barely ever post here, just kind of browse. I enjoy Jun Maeda's work, and I hope he gets better. I actually really like Key VNs.
What I don't like is that this thread about a sick man has been derailed into a half assed flame war. There is no way that Maeda will ever see this thread, true, but show some respect for a respectable fellow human being. This is why I hate small, close knit communities like this. They just stew in their own juices until they become sour.
Seriously, get over yourselves.
Mad respect, Jun Maeda. You're a hard worker, and hopefully after a much deserved rest you'll be well enough to assess what's next for you. Best of wishes.

A person is in the hospital for an unkown reason. It could be serious. That's all I see. I don't care if he is a famous VN writer or a homeless man; its equally tragic. This thread just happens to be dedicated to Jun Maeda, and most people on this forum knows about his work. It's logical that they will say "I hope he gets better, I like his VNs." It's not shallow or anything like that. Saying you enjoy his work doesn't mean you automaticly put him above anyone else who might be in the hospital.

The way I look at it, the 18+ price is the full price of the game. The cheaper all ages version is a discount due to cut content. When both are priced the same, I honestly have a bit of an issue, that the all ages version isn't cheaper.

I see patches for Umineko and Higurashi on his site.  Not 18+ patches, but MangaGamer titles nonetheless, and he's most definitely infringing copyright with these patches.
Imouto Works claims that he works on patches for titles based on requests from followers.  The biases of his followers could thus influence which titles he makes patches for.
Admittedly, he doesn't have ethical grounds to stand on with regards to why he's still hosting the Nekopara Vol. 2 and KARAKARA patches, even after Sekai Project asked him to stop.

Back then Fuwanovel indeed didn't deserve respect. I've pirated things in the past, and I would not expect anyone to treat me with respect for having done so, either. Pirates do not deserve to be handled with respect, period. We've been working hard to earn the respect we deservedly lacked for years of torrent use and you can't use that past as a weapon to invalidate the arguments being made here.

There's also the question of whether or not someone who knowingly and actively provides easy piracy options for your content deserves your respect.

Also the initial request from Dovac was actually pretty pleasant, it's only after imoutoworks started stuffing around that he lashed out. I don't feel sorry for the guy. 

After Sakura Dungeon, I'm not going to instantly assume it's bad. I'll play if first, then say it's bad
I really hope they have improved even more since dungeon, as that was actually a decent game. So yeah, let's hope this one actually does some good things as well.
