Everyone has that one thing that they look for in a VN: Be it art, story, characters, voice actors, BGM or even moe-factor, everyone has one, but which is yours? Mine was art for the longest time, but when time went on, I started to pay more respect to the characters in a VN, and art got triumphed by characters. But I still like good art in Visual Novels immensly. Although I appreciate charages and nakiges more than ever before, standard run-of-the-mill SoL with good art is still good sometimes. It just isn't as good as before. Even so, even if the story is sub-par or the story is generic, that doesn't matter to me; if it has good art or decent characters, then 99% of the time I still will find it enjoyable and find it in me to finish it, most of the time. But enough of that, please do tell me your opinions. What is the most important part, that makes a Visual Novel?

Honestly, I don't know if you want to get something out of this or not, so I'm just going to give my pure opinions, no sugarcoating. The character's art style is really bad. The setting seems like a generic saw ripoff and I hope it gets better. It's a lot of cliched horror tropes. The characters are rather bland. There are typos. The dialogue is quite cheesy as well. The backgrounds are nice and the choices have some zany elements in them, which I like. I played for a bit (20-ish minutes), and it just seems like an ordinary Closed Room-murder VN attempt. It was pretty bad, but not irredeemable, you just have to do some major changes, if you want this to success even a little bit. But I do hope a good future for this project of yours.

I saw this today and it seems really intruiging The Novels it records is a great feature, and it let's me see how objectively bad taste I have to the norm. It shows how much my rating is higher or less from the average, which is interesting to say the least. The Traits and Tags gives an accurate representation on what might be enjoyable to you in the future. Developers is just a nice add-on, which gives insight on what developers you should keep an eye on (but of course most of us already know our favorite companies). Then the Recommendations and Similar Users. These ones are great. They give you great new VNs to try out, which gives even more VNs, and the cycle repeats itself for infinite backlog. Then they can give you chance to meet people with similar tastes to yours. All in all, a great new website to keep in your bookmarks. And apparently Segai is the only one here with similar tastes to mine The more you know

Well I think personally that Visual Novel medium is much better compared to anime medium. They are much less ruled by tropes, are more adventurous (I'm looking at you doujinge and Darekoi), and don't always revert back to standard cookie-cutter formula. Visual novel communities are also less cancerous, more allowing and welcoming.

Can't say, never really got into Doom and the likes of. However now, that I have more experience, I would like to try them out. I guess I'll wait for Doom 4 then

The backstory and design are great. The history is intruiging, but it does seem rather out-of-place. Other than that, looks quite great.

Sadly no, but I plan to, at some point I have started my first true attempt to delve into Japanese nukiges with Bishoujo Mangekyou. It's honestly some really interesting stuff, and of course it has animated H-scenes, so I can't really complain at all

No matter how successful of an otomege company Gloczus is, basically sub-par everything and ridiculous asking amount. 150,000 is way too much for an otomege, if Libra asked for 125k, and it was just a regular VN, and Narcissu even less, being 75k And unresponsivity to boot. If Root Double almost flopped, it isn't looking good for this title. Hope they clean their act soon enough, as it does look interesting enough.
