Lucy -The eternity she wished for-
In the near future, androids have become the way of the norm. Emotionless husks of metal have become a part of human society, much to the dismay of the boy. The robot he found at the dumpsite though, this one was different. It laughed, it cried, it smiled, it has dreams, just like a human…

Lucy The eternity she wished for is a Visual Novel, about a boy and an android. You play as the boy, who faces decisions and moral dilemmas in this near-future world. This is a story that has touched many hearts and continues to have a strong impact on those who partake in this compelling journey.'

There are only 2 main ends to the game (and one extra ending) and from all my testing, they all depend on the very last choice you make, so if you want to go blind into it, it's a fairly safe thing to do because the last choice is quite obvious.
The vast majority of the other choices in the game are mostly for unlocking CGs and specific scenes, some of which unlock achievements.
Since there's only one major path to take, I have designed my walkthrough so that you can unlock the most achievements with one single playthrough. I will mark all the choices that unlock an achievent with underlined text. If you wish to do your own thing, you'll have to replay the game later to get the remaining achievements.

This is a guide on how to get every single achievement in case you can't discover some or you missed one or two during your playthrough.

DarkZedge reacted to Clephas in Monster, demon, god, spirit, etc heroines... and those of us who happen to love them
It's been a while since I cleared the air on this issue, but understand that my first love when it comes to heroines is always going to be based on 'difference'.
Now, you ask, what does that mean?  There are two aspects to this... the physical and the mental.
In this thread, I seek to gather my fellow travelers who adore physical difference.
Do you love mimikko?  You belong here.
You like androids and AIs? You belong here.
Do you love a demonic heroine? You belong here.
Do you love a monstrous heroine who only has a sort-of humanoid face?  You belong here.
To be blunt, being attracted to what is different is one aspect of human nature that is very common in otaku in general.  Of course, there are exceptions (people who just like 'normal' moe girls with no fantastical or strange elements).  However, the fact is that many of us are driven by this kind of attraction to some extent.
So what's your favorite type of 'different' heroine?  (mine is the kitsune heroine)

    The Translation Project
    Plot Summary (Source: Hau~ Omochikaeri):
Shou and Ren arrived at a beautiful town full of colourful flowers. They met the three sisters Haru, Kotose and Yukina, who run the cafe “Famille”, and he starts working there in exchange for a bed to sleep in.
In the middle of the night, Shou follows Haru far away from the town to a hill covered with flowers as far as the eye could see. He watched as a little girl whom Haru was embracing turned into a flower under the large moonlit tree. She noticed his presence and smiled lonesomely while looking fondly at the beautiful flowers in full bloom.
“I have survived up till now in this world by doing this. But I still want to continue living… even if it’s in exchange for other people’s lives.”
Shou looked up at the petals which fluttered down and responded:
“No matter what this world forces upon you, no matter how many people won’t forgive you... I’ll still pray for this world to end.”

I debated for a while on whether or not I'd publicly announce this. In fact, I still have many doubts, but I decided to go for it instead of hestiating to keep the momentum I have going right now.
Yes, I decided to start another translation project, and for a game I only very recently got into. Could this be the biggest mistake of my life? Who knows, but I'm doing it anyway.
I hope you'll bear with me on yet another journey that will hopefully not crumble.

Gray. A gray world, a gray life, a gray happiness. Indeed, to Kakeru, it was as if the world had turned a dull, impenetrable gray, ever since that day. He had friends Tadashi and Kaori, he had his childhood friend, Yuka, he had everything that 'ought' be there. And yet, he could never escape it, never overcome, never get away from...
But the workings of fate are not so simple. The stain of darkness never so easily cleansed. And indeed, it is those same, immutable cogs that will draw Kakeru away from the simple, ‘peaceful’ life he knew...

To run, simply place the patch2.xp3 into the game folder, and start the game!  As always, remember to have your locale in Japaneses and use only English and Japanese characters in the path to the exe.
Be sure to install the 1.01 patch from Lass before running.
Also, if on windows 10, be sure to have Japanese fonts installed (windows 10 doesn't install them by default).

All art is in the eye of the beholder.  If it touches you intimately as you look at it, read it, watch it, etc. then it can, in your point of view, be considered art.  Only rich snobs, Eurotrash 'artists' and 'art critics', and cultural snobs think otherwise.

    Being naked  ≠ pornography
A lot of the difference comes from the intention of the work in question. Nudist paintings aren't there to turn you on, they are usually representing something, even if that something is only the beauty of the human body. Porn exists for you to fap to, and is thus seen as having less artistic value by many.
If you think hentai is the exact same thing as someone being painted nude, then I think you should study a bit more before making a presentation on this subject. I don't think your teacher was wrong in the way they reacted. I myself would probably react the same way, and I read hentai all the time.

Four young high school students--Kazushi, Appo, Pierre and Daigo--grow sick of their less-than-average, sensually-depraved youth.  With nothing but poor grades to show for their transient existence, the band of buffoons seek to spice up their lives.  Once word of an exchange student program to an all-girls school reaches Kazushi's ears, he and his friends set out to improve their grades.  Eventually, their hard work pays off, and they find themselves on a boat to Eiden Island, which is home to Eiden Academy, their new school.     However, upon arriving, the boys learn of a secret that causes them to question the intelligence of their decision to jump at this "opportunity": the school deals in the dark arts of alchemy, and endeavors to teach its students its various facets.  Kazushi and his friends quickly find themselves biting off more female drama than they can chew. DarkZedge got a reaction from InvertMouse in Attending my dad's funeral this afternoon
Hey Mousie, once again I'm really sorry for your loss and offer you my deepest condolences. I haven't attended many funerals and the most hard hitting one and meaningful to me was my grandfather who had helped me a lot through my life as well as taught me quite a lot of things, I wasn't sure how I'd react to it either and it all started hitting me during the service before the burial, he wasn't cremated so seeing him during that truly brought me to the realization of what had happened which until that point hadn't seemed real. Not even when I had seen him in his hospital bed before the cancer took him away from us.
I cannot even begin to imagine how you're feeling after suffering such a tremendous loss, all I can say is for you to take your time to mourn and remember your father and to try to stay strong while time helps you to start coping with it..

I'm attending a funeral today as well, but my sense of loss isn't as pronounced as losing a dad. I'm so sorry for your loss.
I think you noted something very wise in your OP. When we are faced with tremendous loss, the narratives we construct to cope are fragile. I don't know the depth of your mourning, but I've known you for a while and I've seen what a thoughtful person you are and can infer how difficult this must be. The only advice I can offer is to consider a stronger narrative -- that of your dad's life and how he lived it. The type of person he was when you knew him -- quirks and humor and warts and all the rest -- didn't die with him. That's something we give to those around us, and outlives us all.
So what sort of narrative was his life? What would he want you to do this afternoon? Chances are, if you were close to him, he'd want you to let yourself mourn and feel whatever it is you are feeling -- without judgement -- and take things a day at a time. Today doesn't have to be a celebration if it doesn't feel like that to you -- you'll have years and years to grasp and celebrate what he left you.
What this boils down to, I suppose, is that the celebration of your dad's life isn't -- and cannot -- be contained in an afternoon. It's going to crescendo in the years to come. Today? Today is for feeling whatever you end up feeling (even if that's numbness for a time), without judgement, and appreciating the coming-together of friends and family in remembrance of a good man.

DarkZedge reacted to InvertMouse in Attending my dad's funeral this afternoon
Hi there everyone. A few of you may have heard that my dad has passed away this Monday from cardiac arrest. Never before have I felt so broken. It's like there's a hole in my heart that would never heal again.
But after close to a week, I felt the healing process taking place. I can now smile again, and I no longer break into tears at random. When I reflect, my dad's passing has helped me grow so much in the span of three to five days. It's not at all worth the exchange, but now I hold Mum's hand a lot more, and the whole family is closer from the incident. My mind seems to have pushed all of Dad's flaws aside, so now he's turned into some kind of deity who I can always count on to watch over me. I've never been spiritual, but maybe it's all I have now to keep me sane.
But as the title suggests, my dad's funeral is on this afternoon, and I'm so nervous about it. I haven't seen Dad's face since I left the hospital on Monday, and after the cremation ceremony tomorrow, I'll never get to see him again. Really scared to guess how I'll respond when I see him today. My wounds have at last begun to heal, but the funeral might tear those stitches open again, which is so tough to bear. I feel terrible for worrying about myself at a time like this, but I must own up to what's going through my mind. For now, I'm telling myself that the funeral should be a celebration of my dad's legacy, but once those doors open, my narrative will probably fly out the window.
So yes, if anyone has any advice for me, I'd appreciate that so much. I'm up typing this at 3am because I really can't sleep, so maybe I'm a bit desperate. Of course, I'd be thankful for any good wishes you have for my dad as well. Just a lot of selfishness and confusion on my part.
    Thank you so much everyone.
