  1. Thanks, and I hope yours was equally enjoyable! I haven't read the fandisk though may do so at some point in the future. Our main goal was 11eyes itself, especially after all the failures and poor attempts, it deserved better treatment than it had received. DSP#4 is being prepped of course, we'll be sure to make a blurb about it on our page once it's underway.
  2. Hm... We didn't use a special font, something like MS Gothic should be fine. Though, looking around, it seems that Windows 10 might have removed some fonts from windows 10. Can you verify that you have "MS ゴシック" installed (or use the instructions on the MS site to install it)? We unfortunately don't have a windows 10 machine we can test on. It should show up under Text Settings -> Fonts... from in-game.
  3. @exaccuss The choices are mostly straight-forward, the game's good about letting you know when you've made the wrong choice. Most girls have paths (or at least an ero scene), and you can even set it up to only require a few saves to get the end you want. I believe a walkthrough was also posted recently if you're still looking. @DeathDevilize That is odd... Mine looks like this, and even saving around those lines works fine. I'm also a little curious about how your backlog looks, the text seems to be shifting to the next line too early (it should fill most of the page like it does in the one I have). Do you have a non windows-10 machine to try it on? You're also not loading a save from the 1.0 version of the game, right?
  4. @spademan You won't have to worry too much about that; go for the girl you like and be sure to save decision points for the extra chapter~.
  5. @ShinRaikdou You won't have to worry about the sorts of drama standard to moege; 11eyes is a balance between chuuni and slice-of-life. There are a fair amount of bad-endings, but it's not in the same format as a good/true ending. I don't want to give too much away, of course~. Fate is somewhat similar to it, 11eyes not being as invested in the meta-analysis and lore of the universe. It's definitely not a pure love-story.
  6. Your welcome! It was quite hard finding an image that wouldn't immediately spoil such a recognizable game. The line count methods can be a little tricky to measure accurately, especially with all the tags and shuffling/removing/adding lines where necessary. It came out pretty close to the TLWiki count.
  7. Thanks! Yes, it is the 18+ version of 11eyes -Tsumi to Batsu to Aganai no Shoujo-
  8. Denwatls proudly presents: 11eyes. Gray. A gray world, a gray life, a gray happiness. Indeed, to Kakeru, it was as if the world had turned a dull, impenetrable gray, ever since that day. He had friends Tadashi and Kaori, he had his childhood friend, Yuka, he had everything that 'ought' be there. And yet, he could never escape it, never overcome, never get away from... But the workings of fate are not so simple. The stain of darkness never so easily cleansed. And indeed, it is those same, immutable cogs that will draw Kakeru away from the simple, ‘peaceful’ life he knew... Link to the page. To run, simply place the patch2.xp3 into the game folder, and start the game! As always, remember to have your locale in Japaneses and use only English and Japanese characters in the path to the exe. Be sure to install the 1.01 patch from Lass before running. Also, if on windows 10, be sure to have Japanese fonts installed (windows 10 doesn't install them by default). Enjoy!
  9. It's not an ending we removed; PeasSoft make a bad-end for Nagisa which they later cut out of the game (considering how arbitrary the decision is between the ends, I can understand why they did). We considered adding it back in, but decided on leaving the game as it was release. The files are still there if you'd like to read them (get them from thr original data.xp3, they aren't in the patch), they're the day/scenes mentioned earlier.
  10. That one's stylization. 面白い冗談ね is a pretty standard way of 'writing someone off', which is what the English text was put as an equivalent for. Saying it literally as 'oh what a funny joke' came across as more demeaning than the Japanese line in the TL's opinion, which is why they went for 'being friends' as a more neutral stock phrase representative of someone just transfering into a class. Similarly, Ikuya is coming across as being an incredible creep with "やだなぁ、冗談じゃないって~。さっきも言ったけど俺……マジだから", which is why the TL went for something creep-like in English. Don't worry, the comments aren't being taken as inflamitory; simply that an honest answer to an honest question tends to be lengthy. The TL has noted that they're toning down the stylization for the next release so it fits closer to the Japanese text. Ideally that will help resolve some of the dissonance between the vocals and text.
  11. The TL wasn't intended to be literal, we were aiming for something that sounded natural to an English speaker in English rather than something which was very heavily Japanese with an 'English coating' (compare Grisaia to Fate). As Moogy and others have pointed out, this has had the unintended effect of coming across as 'completely wrong' because the core audience for something like Koiiro are the heavy VN-otaku who are already expecting that type of TL. For example, on Karen's path, when she goes to make a move on Shizuku-Sensei, "だから信用度は限りなく0なんだが、それを口に出すと花恋はムキになるだけだろう。" Which is, more literally, 'While I can assuredly say I have 0% confidence in her, if I said so she would mugi (become extremely angry)' was shortened to "Yes" To avoid repetition from 5 lines earlier and to keep comedic effect, as well as convey a sense of irritation that was showing in Haruka. Similarly, when trying to hook him up with Nagisa, The original line is: "ふっ……そんなのお構いなしよ!" Which is, more literally; 'Hah...... don't mind those rules!' But the TL chose: "Ha! Rules. What rules?" To make it more stylistically Karen, who tends to have a blatant disregard for fore-planning and can be fairly reckless. Similarly for: "悩み事相談作戦……今度の今度の今度こそ完ぺきのはず…… "Time to enact super modified ultra-strategy: Sure Kill Mk. 3" There's also a line in Mirai's ending where PeasSoft legitimately forgot to include the voice file (but kept the text), so there's a long string of text accompanying a 'ごめん'. You'd have to give some examples for a more definitive answer; some are the types of changes already mentioned, some are blending of surrounding lines so they aren't so choppy, some are stylization, and some are the TL being wrong. Pulling examples from the VNTS thread: the part about leaving out 'ghost members' was intentional; one could not walk up to an English-native highschool student, ask them what a 'ghost club member' was, and reasonably expect them to understand the question (in the part of the world where the TL lives, at any rate). The >お姉さまと呼ばせてください >え?そっちの方もいけるの was a reference to Maria-Sama which the TL confirmed they hadn't read and thus didn't catch (fitting in something similar). Then there are occasions when the TL was legitimately asleep at the wheel, such as Ikuya's offer for lunch and Aisa willingly leaving the room (considering how late at night some of those commits are I wouldn't be surprised if it was a more literal 'asleep'). Bear in mind that Denwatls still lacks a TLC, so the TL never had a sanity check and was too busy driving progress to go back and re-verify all the lines. If there are any TLC who would be interested in running through the game and making notes about things like was done in VNTS we'd be interested in talking with them. Sadly TLCs are even more scarce than TLs. It's Nagisa Day14/Scene 10, 14/11, and 15/6.
  12. Thanks all! A small note: a stray period found its way into one of Nagisa's MPC tags and broke her path; the patch has been corrected and updated on the blog (ran through the rest of the path and looked ok, but definitely mention something if any others come up). It doesn't affect anyone but Nagisa's route.
  13. And today the Translation is complete! Link to the blog post. The patch includes several additional fixes, such as reduced volume on the OP/EP (65%), ability to skip the OP/EP, and a much needed spellcheck across all the files. Simply place the patch in the game directory or overwrite the current one there and enjoy!
  14. For a somewhat different idea: The problem with relying Okami is the same problem as relying on VNTL, VNTS, or Ryu; you have a single point of failure. They are however the most convenient methods. You could, alternatively, have groups submit their progress to fuwa (with a mod or two to sanitize inputs). It could be something as simple as a form with fields such as "Enter progress % of #(lines, kb, files, etc)", or a table where the group could break progress down by character or other methods. This would get rolled up every week and posted, and would be in a convenient format for additional information processing. This would require the group to do some sort of registration through fuwa, such as announcing a thread in the FanTL section, and will likely have less projects than relying on VNTS or similar.
