I found it y'all. It's a weird looking nukige called Daibubokan ~Oshioki da Game~. Incidentally I already had it on my VNDB wishlist. I went through my wishlist before making this thread but I was banking on the VNDB page having screenshots of those distinctive kneeling CGs. Alas, the page has no screenshots at all so I missed it. Anyway, here's a few of those kneeling CGs:

I've been reading visual novels for almost 10 years, and it's still one of my favorite fictional mediums. Part of that is because of how much I love these characters and how long you get to know them in these stories. Now that I've read just about every English TLd VN I was interested in, I figured it'd be good to do this list as I go into reading VNs in Japanese and share which characters and experiences I've enjoyed the most. 
There's a simple TLDR list at the bottom of the doc you can access on the left side menu if you just want to see that without going through 30+ pages of writeups.
I chose not to include characters from series like Ace Attorney, DanganRonpa, and Zero Escape since those are popular enough and have enough gameplay to be considered just games and it was already tough to narrow down the characters I had for this list and wanted to highlight more from the text-only visual novels.

Time Hollow on the DS was my first VN. It’s a time travel VN where you can cut and paste things in and out of time . . . but the story is still completely linear. That was kinda disappointing tbh.

Most of my bad dreams involve either getting fired or failing out of school. One in particular that has stuck with me was a situation where I was running my Subway store by myself, but it was a super slow day and I hadn’t had a customer in several hours so I decided to leave the store unattended for the rest of my shift. I can’t remember what I went and did but when I got back a family had moved into the store with a bunch of furniture and was eating all the food and I couldn’t get them to leave. I woke up shortly after that but I’m sure the conclusion would have been me getting fired.
