  1. same. michirus route set itself more than pleasantly apart from the others.
  2. been not fond of sen no hatou´s trial, thew whole pop-idol stuff felt abit out of place and idk, expected sth else, maybee abit too much. sure everything is freaking shiny & smells money all over, heck even the protag is voiced and such (others got some top tier va´s as well), but i simply failed to come on good terms with how they decided to turn the setting, which plays in a rather serious period (post ww2), into some sort of romantic comedy (school life & pop-idols), because that´s what it felt to me. "Remember that period in our country where people suffered a lot? How about we make a romantic comedy about it filled with cutesy stuff! It will be hilarious, but also very serious! Because, you see: THE MAIN PLOT WILL STILL BE SERIOUS BUSINESS!" I wonder if this was how the guys at august were thinking when they came up with the pop-idols stuff. in my opinion, Sen no Hatou would be a great VN if it wasn't for the "Galge conventions", but that's just me, anyway. And I usually disapprove cute stuff just for the sake of being cute, when it doesn't fit the events or setting. I believe the idol stuff will only be a bigger thing during that heroine's route, but she is still one of the most important heroines, and the hero even battles against her in a big epic battle at the end of the demo, with was laughable at best for me. Can't take a big strong female warrior seriously, now that I know she waste the time to practice in order to do idol things.
  3. still far away pretending to be helping out in a clients kitchen, but managed to finish my read of モミジは紅く其の身を染めて whilst hiding in a nearby toilette. first thing first, contrary to some fags wrongful perception of ao-titles being aimed at a kindergarden-ish crowd only this one is clearly not and except for some minor elements of kitsch almost everything about it is more or less rather mature. what starts out with a certain pastrelated incisive incident is followed shortly after by seemingly peaceable moments of deluding oneself under the assumption of finally having moved on and ultimately ends up in a nightmare when sins of the olden days start shredding that protective little husk of yours to pieces. though the authors attempts of creating something with literay value by adding some philosophical aspects are a little clumsy at times and not that well executed, the overall atmosphere of angst and guilt is what momiji exells at, not to mention the desperate struggle for absolution/salvation as its core-theme. in short, while certain passages appear a little out of place, btw. strange (you know what i mean when you get there :P), the read as awhole does not and feels very much human. negative emotions and the consequent amplification of theirs as the story progresses is what stands out the most, making it a gloomy experience from start to finish with even the main ending itself having a grave aura of unaccomplishment to it, similar to fraternites one, a fact which might come to annoy few, but which plays a pivotal role in what it tries to accomplish. 救いがあっても、結局代償を払っているので、本当のハッピーエンドとは言えない……。that one sums it up. the game offers quite alot of bad outcomes (partly real bad ones) which can be a little tricky to reach, but with ones brains intact this should be a doable read in about 30-35h. as for the specs, no voices, music pleasantly befitting the atmosphere/plot and a resolution which transmutes your eyeballs into bleeding lumps of flesh, literally. but since this title is basically available for less than a cheap meals worth there´s no real point in try complaining/nitpicking. to me it´s a solid 8,5, forwhy it managed to accomplish what it tried to & gave my mind a much needed fuckup.
  4. there are plans for rebooting the forums, but it´s taking their sweet time. guess the main issue were all those spambots turning the whole thing into one cancerous pile of mess. as for the project itself, yeah they´d got themselves some new staff-members and things were apparently going well, but then poof.
  5. there never was a complete 18+ patch & the group + their progress went straight into oblivion the same day craneanime´s forum dissappeared for various reasons. must be noted though that they didnt mention anything regarding a possible c&d or cooperating with sekai on bringing the adult stuff over, actually they denied that possibility. no idea what actually happened there, might be still ongoing but who knows
  6. happens fairly often that vita-versions or those from other consoles receive some additional content to make up for the lost ero and since steam is their primary selling-ground the practis of doing allages (first) is nothing to wonder about
  7. just do it for the tapestries, those naughty looking tapestries. i mean who´s able to resist having his wall plastered with a peeing(?) osananajimi, think about it! XD
  8. thought that was clear from the get-go, like 7-15$ for 3volumes doesnt sound that right, does it?
  9. eushully thinks of sekai being non-profitable enough after the latter one having been interested in a possible partnership, which doesnt make it sound like they´re totally against the idea of a western approach in general.
  10. yo just in case it was missed, work on the localisation of steins gate 0 has been completed (might, or might not incl. editing and suchalike). link (click on the pic below):
  11. • Pigeon Blood (pil/slash) • Closed Game (empress) • Boku no Hitori Sensou (akabei2) • Neyuki no Genei (silky´s plus) • Utawarerumono2 (aquaplus) • the current eushully as awhole + Ikusa Verita
  12. 1)for staying in the talks 2)to appear caring for peoples wishes 3)make their cultists go kyun
  13. nice review & a very nice title indeed. made me weep like some newborn durig its read and i´m normally not one to get emotional that easily.
  14. if he means choosing between adult versions of existing eroge for pc, or windows/linux ports from console games, then i´m all for the latter, but in case he only talks about making all ages versions available for other plattforms then i couldnt care less.
  15. considering almost every backer has pledged only the minimum amount, it´s pretty likely of them being willing to do more should frontwing manage to upgrade their page like promised a couple of days ago, means more pictures & previews of goodies so people are able to decide what to back.
  16. he´s mentioned that mangagamer is, or may be interested in doing bunnyblack3, so he wont pull a stunt of possibly ruining it for them. and regarding holding old grudges...
  17. absolutely. that part of the forum gets always named in a slightly missleading, btw. totally random manner and its name does change every couple of weeks.
  18. bl-manga owed pains borderline tormenting what´s considered the last sane remnants of i - basically saying: vive le degeneration mentally & ave momiji wa akaku sono mi o somete ! clumsy writing, amateurishly charming visuals & no voices in there - some may find this a waste, but i couldnt care less. btw. there´s plenty of nice music that befits its atmosphere. btw2: the resolution is god-damn-aweful, though
  19. this thread literally brings back those pains my brain felt acouple of years ago...
  20. pretty sure there wont be any. at least not since mangagamer & witchhunt are both occupied with translating their games. as for the future, think it´s pretty likely of more titles being taken care of, but only after the current ones final/complete release.
  21. phantom is among the best ones ever produced, at least this goes for the japanese version itself. havent read its translated pendant myself, but most who did so ... yeah, lets just say they fell victim to a thouroughly frustrating experience due to the nature of its dvd-nature. edit. not saying phantom doesnt meet your desired criteria, which it undoubtably does, as my remark is mainly aimed at its specs & whatsnot. (non xbox-version)
  22. as for translated ones, there you have swan song, which is as ethically & morally grey-ish as it can possibly get.
  23. if something is good than it´s simply good, no matter the overall length. if something is bad than it stays bad, regardless of possibly haunting you for 2 or 50h. to me it doesnt matter much, been pleasantly surprised, but also greatly dissappointed by stories of various lengths. btw. literary garbage will most likely always feel like a drag, whereas good stuff leaves some kind of void in ones heart upon ending.
  24. considering there were all kinds of weird anomalia under imopara´s mosaics & them possibly not wanting to go the extra route of doing them again, it´s an understandable decision. even in case their artists refrained from doing such things in more recent games, it´s still no way near the apocalyptic horrors of heinous japanese devs forcing their self-aggrandising way of "cencoring" upon openminded(?) westeners like some make it out to be - mosaics or not, neither will the world go end from this, nor does it really cheapen ones reading experience. edit: not to mention most of those die hard fans always being alot more vocal when anything mosaic-ish is involved, than concerned about a possible bastardisation translation-wise. just saying.
