  1. In a world where Fate seems to be set in Stone, there's nothing you can do to change it. Or can you? Download the Game on Itch.io "Moirai" is a Visual Novel Style Game, in which you meet Characters from Greek Mythology with a tragic Backstory, and can influence their course of Fate. Exploring the surroundings in a modern City, you can gather more information about the world you're about to plunge into and maybe spot some snarky comments here and there. In the current Chapter you meet Pandora, a young woman who is a victim to her mighty uncle Zeus' revenge. Can you help her out of that situation? Or... do you even want to? We are a Team of 3 Animation&Game Students from Germany, who created this Game as Part of our Bachelor's Degree. Our Goal was to create a Visual Novel which includes an explorable Environment, increasing the Immersion and Player Interactivity. This Version is showing the first Chapter of Three, so not all of the Consequences and Story can be shown. Due to our limited capacities concerning (wo)manpower and time, we decided to only create this Part as a proof of concept for our Thesis. If you liked this, please let us know and support us so we can create the other two Chapters as well! If you played the Game, please take a couple minutes to answer this survey on Itch.io, it would mean a lot to us and help write our Bachelor's Thesis. 2. I had my first VN experience sometime in the late '90s. I just considered it some random porn game at the time, and it wasn't until in recent years that I looked back and realized that was actually my first VN. I didn't play it for long though, since it was all in Japanese and I couldn't understand a word of it. I think the VN in question was True Love, but I can't be entirely sure since it was so long ago. The first VNs I actually completed were Phoenix Wright and then Danganronpa, but I was still ignorant of visual novels at that time. Grisaia was what finally opened my eyes and made me fall in love with the medium.

  3. Time Hollow on the DS was my first VN. It’s a time travel VN where you can cut and paste things in and out of time . . . but the story is still completely linear. That was kinda disappointing tbh.

  4. Same for me. Fortunately, the version I stumbled upon was translated I'll quote myself from similar thread we had some time ago: True Love might be partially responsible for my soft spot for osananajimi heroines, because of Mikae

  5. G-Senjou no Maou. At the time the experience blew me away, so much so that it sat at my top 5 for about 3 years before i eventually reflected on it and was like "it's not THAT good". Not it's not even on my top 10.

  6. Mine was rewrite. I liked it, but i had this annoying thought about the MC being just an open book for the heroines to write his personality. It annoyed me greatly. But overall it was awesome.

  7. My first VN was Season of the Sakura but that was before I ever heard the term VN. Back then I would have called it a Dating Sim because well it involved dating a girl. In any case I only played one route and thought it was fun, only to proceed to ignore/forget VNs for a good while (i.e. years) after that. The next contact with VNs was probably the Clannad anime. After that I thought man you should have read the VN, that way I wouldn't have to deal with Nagisa who I really didn't like. Well jokes on me, later I found out that Nagisa is the true route and I ended up never reading Clannad.

  8. Edit: I somehow completely misread the OP o_O, so I'm basically rewriting this post, lol Clannad, because I loved the anime. Which soon led to Little Busters, and then down a very deep rabbit hole...

  9. Some random 20-minute long VN on a Russian RPG Maker forum. It doesn't even have a vndb page. My second VN was Rewrite.

  10. The DS release of the original Ace Attorney. I didn't have many thoughts about it at the time, I was just completely shocked that there existed a game about being a lawyer and even more shocked that it was actually good.

  12. Same here, in about 1998. I still have fond memories of True Love '95 as it was called back then, and play it every few years just for nostalgic value. I remember all those older games too and played them through religiously, though I'm not sure I ever unlocked everything except for True Love. I played every single English translated VN/dating sim available back then so all the VGA classics. Walkthroughs were hard to come by back then. The concept of unlocking everything didn't come till about mid 2000s to me. By the latter half of the 2000s I finally fell off the curve, unable to keep up with English translated releases and had moved to native Japanese ones so the sheer number available made it overwhelming, just at about the same time I dramatically decreased the number I played. Nowadays I only get to play 3 or 4 a year. Having a full life with career, family, kids etc. made it a relatively low priority but I never lost the love for them.
