The Story of Socks Serena "This isn’t even the worst place I’ve been locked in. * sigh * We don’t think about that, Serena." What would you do if you were trapped somewhere for a long time? Put A Sock In It! dares ask the question: How far would you go to entertain yourself? With all her coworkers gone for the weekend, no way of contacting the outside world, and no hint of rescue in sight, Serena will discover that maybe, just maybe, her best friend is actually herself. And these puppets she just made from her socks... You play the game by selecting each pair of characters, for a total of four combinations: Princess x Wizard, Ghost x Stable Boy, Wizard x Ghost, and Stable Boy x Princess. Each pairing gives you control of the situation and relationship from one of the characters' point of view. For example, in the Princess x Wizard pairing, the Wizard has abducted her and you play as the Princess, guiding the story with her reactions -- do you hate him, or could this be love? Princess Hobbies: Being happy, exploring, upkeep of castles, keeping tabs on neighboring princes. Dislikes: Stuffy high society, imprisonment. Wizard Hobbies: Being powerful, subjugation, kidnapping, stealing, hexing, destroying enemies, summoning magical creatures. Dislikes: Disobedience, paying for things. Ghost Hobbies: Being spooky and mysterious, haunting, revenge. Dislikes: Traitors, killers. Stable Boy Hobbies: Spending time with animals, pitchforking things, dreaming of princesses. Dislikes: Non-vegetarians, the dark past. Summary Having locked herself in a stairwell, Serena is quickly beginning to run out of distractions. Thankfully, she has two colorful socks and a penchant for amusing herself. So, to pass the time she will weave short, humorous skits based on your selections between characters of your choice, with storylines ranging from romantic melodrama between princess and stable boy to violent quarrels with an evil wizard. This game features one setting (Magic Kingdom) with four characters (Princess, Ghost, Evil Wizard, Stable Boy), altogether coming in at a little over 20, 000 words with all the variations. * The game has sock puppet violence, and some suggestively risqué dialogue on the odd occasion.   2. A collaborative group of friends and I decided one summer's day to begin creating a visual novel like no other. Turmoil of the Seven is a sci-fi RPG visual novel that takes seven factions of cultures widely known around the world, and places them in a futuristic, but chaotic universe. The protagonists of the Visual Novels depend on which of the four characters you would choose to pick. Tristen Talon, Ryou Hidekari, and Heinz Ritter are currently the three protagonists we have right now, the fourth protagonist is still being decided. The seven factions in the game are: The Alliance of Free Systems, The Honorable Shogunate of Hidekari, The Imperium of Weisslande, The Holy Mandate of Alvan, The Absolute and Royal Systems of Arthuria, The Galacian Empire of Alyssandria, and finally, The Union of Ursan Republics. These seven factions are the primary forces in the game right now, while we are currently creating minor factions that will be somewhat nomadic during gameplay. Magic is in this game, and we are also devising how that will turn the tide of battle in the game. The game is currently in development and we need your support and feedback to make it a reality!   5. Hello everyone! I thought I'd post here about the project I am currently working on: Echoes of the Fey - Episode 0: The Immolation We're currently in Steam Greenlight! ABOUT WOODSY STUDIO I (Jenny Gibbons) run Woodsy Studio along with Malcolm Pierce, and this will be our fifth released visual novel. You can find more info about our previous games on our website, which include Serafina's Saga, Serafina's Crown, Quantum Conscience, and Echoes of the Fey: Episode 1. Although we're usually the sole developers of our projects, we hire out for voice acting in our games, and we occasionally recruit other people such as artists and sound designers to help us out. INTRODUCTION TO EPISODE 0: THE IMMOLATION "Echoes of the Fey" is a visual novel series following a flawed but forcefully optimistic heroine, Sofya Rykov, trapped amidst the conflict between Humans and Leshin (elves). For thirty years, the continent of Oraz has been wracked by the great war between its peoples. The East is ruled by the kingdom of the Humans, divided up into counties and family houses. Beyond the great forest of the west is the Leshin, undying men and women with a strong connection to the Fey, capable of powerful magic. Humans cannot wield Fey magic on their own, but they know how to channel it into machines called Fey reactors and manipulate it for their purposes. Deeply offended by this use of Fey energy, the Leshin have been fighting for decades to disarm Humans of their Fey reactor technology. "Echoes of the Fey: Episode 0 - The Immolation" is a short prequel to "Echoes of the Fey: Episode 1 - The Fox's Trail," already released. It reveals the origin of Sofya's strange abilities and how she came to meet Heremon. Although Episode 1 is a commercial project, Episode 0 will be released for FREE upon completion. DEVELOPMENT PROGRESS Currently the project is about 75% done, and the remaining 25% primarily consists of UI touch-ups, bug fixing, and adding features. The script is written, VA is complete, *most* artwork is finished, most of the code foundation is in place, and almost all the scenes have been coded in. This is the first visual novel we've made in Unreal Engine 4, so it has been an interesting adventure so far! Naturally, it was difficult getting started setting up our own visual novel engine within UE4, but now that we've got the hang of it, we're really loving the engine altogether. We've actually had a lot fewer problems so far than we experienced with Game Maker, our previous engine. Before that we used Ren'Py, which is still a fantastic engine for people who don't need to add complex elements to their VN beyond normal branching and dialogue. We've been sitting in Greenlight for awhile, but we're hoping we can get Greenlit by the time we're finished with the game, so we can release it free onto Steam as soon as possible! One of our fans mentioned he posted on this site and told me about it and I'm super happy to see how much support FuwaNovel offers for OELVNs! I suppose I should tell you a bit about the game. ZodiaX is in extremely early development. Currently, the game is targeted towards Yaoi audiences, though when we finally begin a KS, we plan to add a funding goal that, if met, will allow us to use a female character as the main protagonist. Ah also! The banner above is just our first designs of our characters. Already they're all going through changes; just wanted to give you guys a bit of an idea as to our very rough sketches. PLOT:: Your choices will play an absolutely integral role in the story. This game is a huge undertaking, and as there are over 36 different endings, we want to make each route as different as possible, so there's little to no repetition. We want to keep the replay value high, and offer our players the most interaction possible between characters. There will be an in-game meter that will keep track of your relationship status with each character, whether negative or positive. Each choice you make will cause that meter to rise or fall, depending on said character's preferences and feelings towards Aster. ZodiaX will have many different branches, and each character's route will intertwine with one to three others, so that the player gets to see different sides and facets of each character depending on who they choose to pursue. Not only will players make romantic choices, but they'll also be making big decisions that affect the world around them. Do you save a little boy, and let Voidwalkers destroy and kill a family-run shop? Do you sacrifice one of your friends to keep the Barrier up and Elune safe? Do you side with the Company and figure the world needs a reset, or do you simply choose to wash your hands of your hometown and run away with your lover? With a myriad of different decisions, we want to keep our players as engaged as possible. TIMEFRAME:: We estimate that making enough content for a demo will take 4 - 6 months, which is when we'lll begin a CrowdFunding campaign, and the full game [ seeing as how huge it is ] should be in early Beta within 12 - 16 months. ZodiaX was created by Noxius and Binary. The idea was formed in mid 2015, and they officially began working on the project in August of this year.   10. Hi, guys! We just started with a project called "Monster Prom". It's a game meant to be played from 1 to 4 players that mixes "choose-your-own-adventure" and "dating sim" mechanics. You will have a limited number of turns to explore a highschool full of weird and amazing events that will let you meet your six classmates. Each event will let you raise or lose your stats and improve or mess with your relationship with the NPCs. In the end you will ask one of the NPCs to go to prom with you. Similar to The Yawhg (Awesome game, check it out!) We're planning to launch a Kickstarter campaign soon! Scene Gallery( aka scene replay gallery) Artwork Characters Yamakazi Kusanagi While he's a lazy ass pervert who dreams of having a harem of girls at his feet, Kusanagi has a surprisingly kind hearted side. When he sees someone in trouble, he feels compelled to help them whether they be a family member, close friend or even a stranger. He started practicing jujutsu(an old kind of martial art) and kendo together with his childhood friend Kogara Sachi at the age of five, but stopped after breaking a bully's arm in a fit of rage. Besides his fruitless dreams of having his own harem, all he wants to do is become a NEET/hikikomori. It is not to be though, as Sachi has made a habit of waking him up and dragging him off to school whether he likes it or not. Kusanagi can be a charming, intelligent man when he has to, and knows how to carry himself in a fight whether it be fought with the sword, shinai, or his fists alone. Kogara Sachi Sachi is Kusanagi’s childhood friend since she was five, when Kusanagi saved her from a pack of stray dogs (which she believed to be wolves.) From then, she has helped him with everything from preparing his daily meals to helping him study. A unique take on the visual novel genre When we first talked about development of a visual novel, originally we were gonna go for a tradition one,2D artwork and a somewhat linear story with the occasion choice to push you into a character route. After further discussion we decided that 3D would give us the ability to make background environments breath and get rid of boring static environments. As we continued we also went with 3D character models and implemented features such as mouth movement,changes in facial expression, emoji's,etc. The number 1 goal is to bring the characters and environments to life.   24. I release my first game! Meet the Forest camp! Download Forest camp [Demo] I had idea of this game since about start of this year. In march I started development process and maked some dozens of mistakes. It was painful experience - yeah... But, i didn't give up and finally have a playable variant of the game. Pic 1 Pic 2 Pic 3 It have some mistakes anyway, and it a little bit linear, but it only my first public try and it only at start. This demo will show you a main moments of story, characters and arts. Demo will show also you a little sex content and some not linear dialogs. It take you to the same endings at now, but in future it will make some difference in characters opinion about you and most of you choices will have a effects on a story. The main story line is that you and your friend, with two your girlfriends do to camping in forest without parents control for a three days. And you wont to make it like an adult. You will have to decide a choices in many situations and interactions that will affect your character status and relations of other character to you person. This game will be for Free.
