Alpha's Adventures is now live on Kickstarter: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1847704475/alphas-adventures-an-adult-yuri-visual-novel Please check it out and help spread the word/consider supporting it if you can! Synopsis Follow Alpha as she changes herself and others across 4 unique routes. The setup differs from most visual novels in that there is no common route - you simply pick the heroine of your choice from a selection screen and enjoy their self-contained story. Completing all of the heroine's endings allows you to unlock Alpha's and ??? shared route. Project overview I plan to launch a kickstarter so that I can finish (and if stretch goals are met, extend) this project. I'm aiming for an early January 2017 launch date, which is also when I will release the demo I am currently working on. The demo will cover a portion of each heroine's route. We’re a four-person team (of friends who live relatively close to one another) who play otome games yes, we were willing victims of the Cybird and Cheritz games and VNs yes, we are also victims of Steam sales. After a couple of conversations about what we liked about VNs and the tropes we’d use if we made our own...we decided to work on a game! Golden Hour is our second game and first VN, and we’re planning to make it a free-to-play game for iOS and Android. Please cheer us on *u*!!! Overview A young girl transfers into a new school just as the term is nearing its close. With summer approaching, she is tasked with photographing the preparations for the school’s year-end tradition: a grand festival of lights. With her camera at the ready, she dives into a tangle of friendships, rivalries, courtships and conflicts—but the longings of troubled young hearts can’t be captured by lenses alone. Golden Hour is a mobile visual novel/otome game that thrusts players into the exhilaration of high school romance to capture the fleeting, vibrant colors of youth. Set over a period of ten days, the game follows the protagonist’s attempts to find her place in her new city, especially through her encounters with four remarkable young men. Caught up in the currents of their lives, she comes to learn their dreams, joys, fears, and obstacles. As she peers into their worlds, she finds her own horizons expanding with knowledge of the city they all call home: developed and all but controlled by a family of old wealth, the city is as full of gentle light as it is of cloying shadows. Golden Hour is a story of romance, and coming of age; of finding solace in others and certainty in oneself; of lovers, friends, rivals, and family. Characters Main Character [Player-named], Second Year Our story’s protagonist is used to switching homes, owing to her mother’s career, but she’s hoping this move is her last for a while. Thanks to her frequent relocations, she’s used to dealing with a wide variety of people--but isn’t too quick to open up, and would rather view the world through the lenses of her trusty camera. Nagi Isanagi Ayara, Second Year The Ayaras halfway own the city and everyone in it, but Nagi is determined to make his future his own and prove he’s more than just a second son. Kouya Kouya Ibara, Second Year With fiery hair, a cold glare, and countless cuts and bruises as his signature, Kouya has a reputation for delinquency. Dislikes: Nagi Ayara Rui Rui Ferreira, Second Year Although he only recently moved in as well, Rui’s already everyone’s best friend. Sol Solomon Lee, First Year Born to pious parents, Sol’s love for the arts, especially music, was nurtured throughout his childhood. Reserved, but not without a rebellious edge. Likes: Tea. Classic rock. His family. Dislikes: Hierarchies. Sensei What was his name again..? The Media and Visual Culture teacher seems a bit.. strange. But not in a bad way. The student social networking system was something he developed to ease the kids’ daily school lives. Likes: The Internet. Tabletop games. Students developing meaningful friendships. Dislikes: Bullies. Rivals/Minor Characters Coming soon! Gameplay Branching Storyline The game follows four main storylines that span a few days, each with multiple endings and unlockable CG scenes. Multiple Narrative Modes Class Schedule Gameplay happens in blocks of time: morning classes, morning break, midday classes, lunch, afternoon classes...more classes… you get the picture! Checking the calendar and attending classes diligently gives the protagonist a better chance at hitting her stride in her new school. The protagonist can also schedule hangouts with friends or go on dates during the weekends! In-Game Chat App What, high schoolers need some way to talk long into the night, right? Ayara High Student Social Network A place for Ayara High students to take note of school announcements, post about their day, and advertise their club events. Everyone has an account right from the moment of enrollment. Stretch Goals There are a few things that would be nice to have, once we finish with the main storylines! "Rival Stories” What happens to everyone else when the protagonist has chosen a character route? We’d like to take a deeper look at the friendships, rivalries, and romances that spring up among the rest of the cast. (ie, if you pick Kouya's route, Nagi will romance someone from the student council throughout the route playthrough!) That One Teacher... This is an extra storyline we’d like to develop, focusing on, well, that one teacher. You know, the one with the weird glasses (someone reeeeally should tell him that Shutter Shades went out of style years ago). Meet the Team Matchaa is a combination of the Japanese word for green tea (“matcha”) and the Filipino word for tea (“tsaa”). Balancing influences of the Southeast and the Far East was one of the design challenges we set for ourselves from the start!   7. Hey guys! This is a new OEVN by Neat Studios. They've already been fully funded and are reaching their stretch goals. Pitch - Cat girls have gained their independence but you alone have the power to conquer their heart. A secret only you know and a power only you possess. Is a cat girl themed visual novel with a good storyline and gameplay something you want? Well boy do we have a story for you! Summary - It's been 25 years since the nekos were freed, but things are no better now than they were years ago. Most live in slums and some resort back to selling their bodies or doing domestic work. Now with rumors of a conspiracy arising to send them back to slavery, a charismatic, charming, influential, likable, intelligent, and compassionate man is tasked and given the power to help hide the Nekos that poses as students in his school and help close the racial divide in society. Unfortunately however...you got it instead... Genre - Romantic Comedy/Mystery/Ecchi Gameplay - The players will play as Yutei Nagamichi, an angsty, stubborn, and hilarious smart-ass who has to collect clues to help him befriend and earn the trust of his peers and the Nekos in his school in order to convince them to join the Neko Club. Yutei must get them to join before they are captured by Detective Kowayama. The players will be given uneasy choices to choose from to try and achieve this goal. The players will face several obstacles. First and foremost is that the cat girls he has to help start off as very irritating and provocative, which might make the players want to choose certain options like witty comebacks instead of more friendly and submissive choices. Second is that on occasions, Detective Kowayama will interrupt the flow of the story with plot twists in an attempt to put the main character on edge. A third obstacle in this game is the main character himself. If he suppresses his emotions too much, Yutei will begin to detonate and his rash emotions will definitely hurt his chances of befriending the Nekos. In short, it's a balancing act between making friends and being true to himself. The players should pay very special attention to what the characters in the game are saying and piece together the clues to evoke the right reactions. This takes some social skills which Yutei does not have. When provoked, Yutei will start to unravel the dialogue choices the players have made and naturally self sabotage his own goals due to anger and impulsiveness. Check out the trailer!: Inspired by the likes of Dark Souls, Earthbound, and various tabletop RPGs, Karmasutra is an intense, erotic hybrid RPG/Visual Novel taking place in a rich, detailed, open world. Karmasutra takes place in the world of Tattva - a mysterious, heavenly realm that acts as the final challenge for sinners who seek the call of Nirvana in other worlds. Once home to ancient, sacred civilizations, these eras have now passed; in the wake of this passing, the realm has become an afterlife, a final challenge for restless wandering souls who commit sins in other worlds. As our protagonist awakes in this strange land, he's quickly introduced to concept of Samsara; the journey across Tattva that all "Wanderers" must undergo to cleanse themselves of sin. Confused by this sudden pitch, our Wanderer also learns that this so-called "call of Nirvana" is not absolute; in fact, there are some Wanderers that choose to ignore the call in exchange for the infinite sexual & material pleasures - and dangers - that this mysterious afterlife seems to offer. In this foreign realm however, Wanderers are not the only residents. From the sacred gurus who guide Wanderers and the demonic Asurian tricksters to the monstrous manifestations of sin and the Gods themselves, Tattva is never truly what it seems. But in this mysterious world, where both the path of Sin and the path Merit seem to lead to their own rewards and consequences, which path is truly correct? And more importantly, which path will you, the Wanderer, choose? Karmasutra is a hybrid VN; it plays as an RPG, and interactions with NPCs are done in typical visual novel form.It takes place in Tattva, a large world, filled with many, many unique NPCs - all with h-scnes - and various smaller events and interactions that can be pursued in parallel to the main story. Some features include a morality system, which will change the way characters interact with you and dictate certain events across the world of Tattva, a Dungeons & Dragons-inspired tabletop exploration system, featuring a number of interesting and unique locations, and a turn-based combat system with a unique twist - instead of just fighting, enemies can also be conversed with, randomly generated with one of many possible personalities per-type of enemy. Here there are two types of people: Normals and Abnormals. ✧✧✧✧✧ Buffalo Seer is an eccentric Abnormal who wants nothing more than to use the magic ability within them; future seeing. However, even within their society where everyone has a special power, future seeing is considered dangerous and advised against. Unable to be swayed, Seer finally gains permission to look into their own future, only to receive an unbelievable revelation. Not only have they left Abnormal society, they're married to someone they've never met before. With visions of happiness in their mind, Seer leaves everything behind and ventures to the part of the land fraction where those without magic live; Normal society. Seer is going to convince this stranger that they are meant to be together no matter what it takes, even if it means tagging along on an adventure. For most of their life their goal was to use their ability at least once. After that was achieved there was no plan, Seer simply expected to be satisfied with life. However, upon seeing what the future holds Seer immediately created a new goal, finding their future spouse. But then after finding them Seer decided they’d have to get married before they could be fully content. Once that inevitably occurs, who knows? Seer has an odd habit of phrasing things in unnecessarily suspicious ways, that coupled with the way they dress causes them to come across as creepy within Normal society. Seer doesn’t seem to mind. Kea is a police officer who recently transferred to the capital of Vespen in order to work undercover. The job requires an officer to infiltrate a street gang that mainly recruits young teens off the street, hence the outfit they’ve got on. Kea was requested specifically due to their youthful stature and fitting personality, since in informal situations Kea is chatty, fast-talking, and can easily come across as rude or uncultured. While on the job Kea speaks and behaves (somewhat) more seriously. Despite technically being in charge, they are the black sheep of the group. While everyone else is perfectly comfortable bending or even out right breaking the law Kea is, naturally, not so keen on that. But, no matter how often Kea intentionally or accidentally isolates themselves from the others and how much they cause disagreements, they don’t actually want it to be that way. They’d like to get along with the team and have a positive impact on situations, it just seems impossible because of their position. Mapmaker and item collector extraordinaire Piper wouldn’t normally have a reason to be in the capital, however this is an unusual time for her. She is currently on hiatus. She chose to take a break because constant work had worn her down. Before she felt duty call and joined the adventure she had been spending her days wearing nice clothing and drinking tea while discussing good books with pleasant ladies. However, Piper has no intention of wasting time sulking over the loss of the last part of her time off from ruin trekking. In fact, she doesn’t seem to ever spend time being in a poor mood. Piper treats others in a friendly and casual manner but is nothing near an open book. She’s deeply enigmatic. Her courteous nature stems entirely from social obligations rather than genuine interest and that fact becomes rather obvious if you try speaking with her for any extended period of time. January is a man of massive importance and wealth in the region of Vespen, though only due to inheriting it. He has been the Duke of a significant family ever since his mother passed away a few years prior. That title is no longer bestowed and every other house in Vespen that had the title at one point has had the lineage die out. With an heirless only child as a Duke, January’s family is currently one step away from joining those other houses in being stripped of their clout. The weight of being the last true noble in the region has not been lost on January. The entire point of the trip is escorting January to a safe house, so in that sense he is an important member of the team. But only in that sense. January isn’t allowed to do anything, much to his frustration. Because of his sheltered upbringing January has spent his entire life having people assume he’s useless or an easy target. It is unclear if the group thinks the same way or if they are simply overprotective. Upon first meeting January he comes across as rather skittish. After Seer shows him his future he resolves to change the way he lives his life. From then on he begins to act more indignant and reckless. He is going to be a contributing member of the team, whether the rest of the group wants him to or not. *Not Pursueable* Trinette is the leader of a bounty hunting gang. The group is famous for its efficiency and willingness to work outside what is legal. However, lawlessness is the last thing you’ll find within the group itself. It is highly organized and functions essentially the way a normal business does. Every employee has a set wage, time off, health coverage, etc. The reason this criminal gang functions this way is because Trinette’s background is mainly in finances. After working for many reputable companies she decided to start a company of her own. She chose a bounty hunting gang simply because it was a position that needed to be filled in the area. If you can look past all her wrongdoing and not take what she does in her job personally, Trinette is a rather amiable woman. Thanks for checking this thread out! Join Rose as she stumbles her way through her new job at a small indie game studio, while still trying to comprehend the differences of human customs. Her reasons for leaving the spirit realm are unclear, however suspicion rises when another spirit arrives with an ill warning and the intent of hunting down Rose. What mess has she gotten herself into and what secrets could this cute and playful spirit possibly be hiding? You're the only one with a chance to uncover this mystery in this cute and amusing game... Because... you're a human... she won't suspect you. About Project Casually Rose is a story that follows the events of our Company Mascot Rose as she came to be in our employ. It is a comical game that dances on the edge of mystery as a strange girl from an unknown world turns up on the door step of the game studio. We set out to create this game after being approached by numerous fans that had started to see the artworks arise from the concepts of Rose. BOSS LADY Age: 23 Birthday: 2nd November Height: 170cm Measurements: 85/54/78 She is the CEO of the game studio, she found Rose and gave her a home. She gets stressed easy and can sometimes be short with Rose, but she does care for Rose's wellbeing and wants to help her find her place in this world. Features Responsive Character Animation: Using Esoteric's 2D animation software (Spine), Casually Rose utilizes real time character animations that provide a rich emotional and immersive experience for the player. Light & Engaging Story: The story of Casually Rose follows the main character Rose through her arrival in a new world and the challenges she faces trying to fit in. The story flirts with a light and playful tone while still harbouring a deep and intriguing tale deep under the surface. 2.5D Background Environments: Adding to the immersiveness of the character animations, Casually Rose supports a number of scenes with an almost 3D like quality and makes use of this to add a whole extra level of depth to the visual novel genre. Dialog Rewind: Knowing how easy it is to accidently skip through a piece of dialog, Casually Rose adds in support to backtrack through previous dialogs, so you can re-experience it without requiring a save point.   13. Hello fuwa community. This is PervyGames with our official announcement for our first visual novel entitled, Quantum Crusaders. Quantum Crusaders is an epic, scifi/fantasy, comedy about three brothers whom are recruited by the Cosmic Federation to fight against the forces of the Kor. The visual novel will have the choice of choosing between James Alderic Knight, Robert Knight, and David Knight. We also have a yuri route planned if we get into stretch goal territory. Progress: Writing for demo ~ 66% complete. Missing David Knight's route. Characters for demo ~ 15% complete. Using mostly placeholders for characters while we work on the story. Please tell me about spelling errors, grammar errors, plot holes, I want to know everything. If you think a line should be written better, or even if you have an idea for a scene that should be added, please tell me. If you help me make the visual novel better, by finding mistakes or adding suggesting, I will add your name to the credits. I'm mainly concerned about plot holes and making sure the entire story makes sense to everyone. I would strongly like to note that this rough draft does NOT contain the character development episodes, which aren't required for understanding the characters or the story, but they do help you understand the characters a little bit more. I have them done, but I want to re-write them to make them better. Inside the folder you may notice a TXT document labeled, EXTRA INFO. ABOUT WOODSY STUDIO I (Jenny Gibbons) run Woodsy Studio along with Malcolm Pierce, and this will be our fifth released visual novel. You can find more info about our previous games on our website, which include Serafina's Saga, Serafina's Crown, Quantum Conscience, and Echoes of the Fey: Episode 1. Although we're usually the sole developers of our projects, we hire out for voice acting in our games, and we occasionally recruit other people such as artists and sound designers to help us out. INTRODUCTION TO EPISODE 0: THE IMMOLATION "Echoes of the Fey" is a visual novel series following a flawed but forcefully optimistic heroine, Sofya Rykov, trapped amidst the conflict between Humans and Leshin (elves). For thirty years, the continent of Oraz has been wracked by the great war between its peoples. The East is ruled by the kingdom of the Humans, divided up into counties and family houses. Beyond the great forest of the west is the Leshin, undying men and women with a strong connection to the Fey, capable of powerful magic. Humans cannot wield Fey magic on their own, but they know how to channel it into machines called Fey reactors and manipulate it for their purposes. Deeply offended by this use of Fey energy, the Leshin have been fighting for decades to disarm Humans of their Fey reactor technology. "Echoes of the Fey: Episode 0 - The Immolation" is a short prequel to "Echoes of the Fey: Episode 1 - The Fox's Trail," already released. It reveals the origin of Sofya's strange abilities and how she came to meet Heremon. Although Episode 1 is a commercial project, Episode 0 will be released for FREE upon completion. DEVELOPMENT PROGRESS Currently the project is about 75% done, and the remaining 25% primarily consists of UI touch-ups, bug fixing, and adding features. The script is written, VA is complete, *most* artwork is finished, most of the code foundation is in place, and almost all the scenes have been coded in. This is the first visual novel we've made in Unreal Engine 4, so it has been an interesting adventure so far! Naturally, it was difficult getting started setting up our own visual novel engine within UE4, but now that we've got the hang of it, we're really loving the engine altogether. We've actually had a lot fewer problems so far than we experienced with Game Maker, our previous engine. Before that we used Ren'Py, which is still a fantastic engine for people who don't need to add complex elements to their VN beyond normal branching and dialogue. We've been sitting in Greenlight for awhile, but we're hoping we can get Greenlit by the time we're finished with the game, so we can release it free onto Steam as soon as possible! Anyways, I've managed to get a fair bit beyond the demo stage and have a fair bit of content made. It still has a ways to go before it is finished, but I think I've got a pretty good start on it at least. You are a first year student at the school, with a gift for Control magic. With this gift, you will develop spells that can be used to help others... or bend them to your will. Will you resist temptation to become a true hero, allow yourself a few minor indulgences along the way, or take advantage of your powers to take complete control of everyone around you? My main goal with the story is to give a lot of focus to player choice. Growing up, I was always disappointed with games such as Fable that promised a deep and rich system where you can be whatever you want to be, only to limit you to maybe 3-4 meaningful choices throughout the entire story. In this game, not only will you get to make numerous plot-changing decisions, but nearly every scene will allow you to cast the spells you've learned on the person you are speaking to. If you see the spell menu icon appear, it means at least one of the spells you can learn could be used in that scene. And the spell menu icon appears in nearly every scene. The Art When I first began work on the project, I was a horrible artist and had no money to pay for art. That has changed over the last year and more than half of my old art has now been replaced with higher quality artwork from other artists, and I have a goal of replacing the rest of my old art, especially the awful backgrounds, as quickly as possible.   21. The Cycle of Magic - A Prelude is a free to play Original Visual Novel with a fantasy setting. It was originally meant to be a project submitted to the Summer Novel Festival a year ago, and therefore neither involves money or will surpass a play-length of two hours. The protagonist is Zevair - a tall, imposing demon male who is the last of his kind after a mass exodus that followed the supposed death of the magical energy that once flowed through the land. Players will follow Zevair on a small, yet integral part of his journey, where he is asked to find the young granddaughter of an old woman who had been attacked by the girl's kidnapper. In the "New World" where Zevair is feared and judged simply for his appearance by the youthful humanity, Zevair will discover that not all is at it seems, for there is a mystery to the girl, and a connection that neither of them dared believe real. As it stands, the character sprites are complete. There are only three integral characters in the story: Zevair, the girl, and Zevair's mother, who plays a small, yet important part of the story. This is Zevair - the protagonist of this short story. Despite his tall and imposing stature, Zevair is quite a stand-up fellow, and does what he can to help the people he comes across, even if they're never grateful and try to drive him away. Ten years of solitude have eaten away at his spirits, but he continues to drive forward regardless. This is Zevair's mother - Jezela. She has a superiority complex towards humanity, and considers them to be naught but insects. Very hoity toity and proud, Jezela was once much warmer as a mother than she ended up in the end. This is the girl who Zevair must rescue. About ten years of age. The above artwork is done by akkalime. You can see some more of her work HERE In regards to required assets, I am still in need of an individual willing to work on three to five musical numbers that have an overall genre of mystical fantasy. One song in particular is extra important, and is a lullaby. I already have the melody and lyrics I wish to use, I simply need someone who can bring it to life. Details of the needed assets can be provided upon inquiry. I am also in need of someone who can make a project logo. It doesn't have to be super amazing, but still be decent for the sake of clarity and fitting the overall feel of the project. I hope that this project can be completed and brought to those who enjoy visual novels, and I intend to work on a larger project in the future that will continue this world's story. If you think you'd be willing to help bring this story to life, please let me know. As I said before, this is a free, noncommercial project, so I hope to get any assistance possible.   23. Elsewhere High - Chapter 1 Welcome to Elsewhere High, "a school for exceptional children." In this visual novel, players are able to immerse themselves in the world of the outcast. Each student at Elsewhere High has fallen short of expectations at their original high school; they've flunked out, skipped class, wrote threatening notes, or grew to be a reprehensible bully. The only prerequisite to admission is failure. Friendships spawn, and feuds arise, but amidst the teen drama and angst it quickly becomes clear that Elsewhere is much, much more than it seems. Chapter one is the first chapter in a planned multi-chapter series that is releasing absolutely free of charge. Subsequent chapters will be sold at a small cost.
