I played it like two days ago~  I think I have mixed feelings about it so far, but I'd still be willing to buy/give the full game a try once it comes out since I've tended to love all the FF games. I just didn't like FF13, so probably why I'm a bit hesitant of their future releases.
 
First Impression:  Woooww~~ what amazing graphics! It looks so real, felt like I was watching FF: Advent Children even while playing.  The battle really does kinda reminds me of Kingdom Hearts. So it's not a turn-based battle system, but a real-time action adventure RPG.  I think the main char looks cool^^ love his black hair, light eyes appearance.
 
What I'm bummed about:
-Doesn't seem like you get full control over the other characters, only can use the main character.
-No Magic? Every action requires MP use, such as defending/techniques, and warping. The main char has a warping sword that teleports him to where he throws it instantly, and his weapons change when he attacks (depending on combo setup of weapons, I think?)  ...but it's not really magic.  There's summoning..but, I don't think it's the same and don't rly like the requirements to use it (character HP->0).
-Giant Map, Lots of walking (if anyone's played DA3, exploration is similar..quest selection for marker on map)... No compass, omg ugh..so I had to keep opening up map to see where I was.
-All male characters. I wonder if they'll have any female allies to switch in, or if it's only these 4 characters throughout the game (that may be kinda boring).
-Hordes of monsters, being messy jumping around all over the screen, taking a long time to take them all out... I hope they will give better AOE skills or something in the actual full game since there's no aoe magic to handle hordes of mobs better... the only sword skills available were mostly limited to single enemies and so it can take awhile to take them all out.
-After dying/game over, restart at a checkpoint..have to re-watch a cutscene over, can't skip.
 
--That's my thoughts about the demo part at least and what was available. Maybe the full game will address some of the problems I thought about it.

Me: "Oh, well, that's... kind of hard to explain. It's an online community I hang out in."
 
Guy: "What's it about?"
 
Me: "It's a fan community for something called 'visual novels'."
 
*Guy's eyes glaze over*
 
Me: (continuing) "It's interactive fiction. Kind of like a love child between graphic novels and video games."
 
*Guy points to a pic of Saber* (< I was working on the Fate/HA walkthrough)
 
Guy: "Is there a lot of that? The Japanese porn drawings?" (< Saber was fully-armored, btw)
 
Me: " First of all, 'that' is a character named 'Saber' from an epic visual novel, and she is awesome. The visual novel she comes from is actually longer than the Lord of the Rings trilogy, believe it or not, so show it some respect, heathen. But yes, visual novels started in Japan so there are a lot of them drawn in the anime-ish art style."
 
Guy: "Oookay. I still think they're porny." (< not a word)
 
Me: "That probably says more about you than the art style."
 
*Tay gets slugged*
 
Me: "Owww!"
 
Guy: "No, but really. Why not just read a book or comic instead?"

Yeah I do agree. I just don't have a glass cabinet at the moment and no space to put them out yet. So for now I have to be content on them being inside the box until I get a better place.

Confession: So I was such a faggot last night, and I couldn't speak properly in front of her. I still tried though. The problem is that for every word I said, her reply seems to strike me down. Like, she's telling me that it's futile or something. Of course, that's quite disheartening. Like, ugh. Holy shit. My chest seems to tighten up whenever I remember the feeling. So she told me that a lot of things will be happening in college, and that I'll eventually forget about her. I laughed at that. So I told her, "March 15, right? Okay then. Next year, on March 15, I'm gonna go to your university and show to you you're wrong. I'm also gonna ask you out." She replied, "Sure. You'll go there and thank me because I was right."
 
It hurts. Kinda. I just. I can't explain it. I... don't even know what I'm feeling now.
 
Also, she told me through chat that she wanted to talk to me tomorrow. I have a huge feeling I'm gonna be shot down. She told me that she'll keep it 'short' to not waste a lot of my time. I'd talk to her for two straight hours, really. Even if it's all awkward shit and stuff. Ah god. I like her so much.
 
Also, I danced her. It felt great. I want to hug her. So I'll hug her 12 days from now, on our graduation ball, after we dance. Gonna make her my first and last dance. It will also be the dance that'll commemorate either my success or failure.
 
So there you have it. I feel like a fucking protagonist right now. I hope she's my main heroine.
 
You know what I'm scared of? I'm scared that somebody will beat me to her in this one year. Of course, that's not all guaranteed. Even that single year. For it might already end tomorrow. Ah. I just want to sleep through the day.
