  1. When I've read everything in it, or everything that is good/has a purpose. Usually I read all the ends... But some games really I don't bother to, or I leave them for later some time. Perhaps...
  2. Hmm, well. Similar to the other people here I have had sleeping problems as well, I've had them for years now. Simply worrying or my mind just keeps thinking and doesn't stop for hours while I should be sleeping. Instead I would just get more awake while laying there. I get around this by sleeping less pretty much. I only go to sleep when I am feeling really drowsy. Due to forceful habit (perhaps) I can wake up with my alarm clock even with really little sleep. Still feel like crap though. Due to having always some lack of sleep, I fall asleep much faster.. My most scary part of the day is no doubt when I feel really bored. It feel like the entire world is hopeless and doesn't have any purpose at all. There is no joy in it. I seriously feel down in the dumps at that moment. The moment passes quickly luckily.

    Books!

The books I've read the last few weeks I enjoyed was. The Great Gatsby The Prince A Clockwork Orange The Problems of Philosophy The Gospel in Brief
  4. As others have mentioned. Having a character with all those traits would come off so perfect, it'd be impossible to connect with him. He'd be a alien. Completely on the other side of the spectrum you have the blank slate protag. So blank you can't even connect with him as a character, because he's so weak. Having a great character is having a set of contradictory qualities or basis on something other than pure ideal. Righteous, on his own ideals. Brave, for personal interest. Strong, against struggle, but avoids hardship Straightforward generally, but might fret on things. Responsible & dependable, fucks with you if you depend too much on him. Generally honest, lies because why not. Clever, while being narrow minded. Humble, while being arrogant inside. Caring, for his own interests Kind, because he wants others to accept him. "Roughly" normal people are like this. We don't act on ideal, we act on whim and personal benefit.
  5. I have the same opinion as IceD. I remember after completing Muv Luv Alt, I was like emotionally unstable for a week afterwards lol. That ending just made me sad.
  6. Completed Totono, this vn was just wtf lol. Seriously.
  7. Have the grammar down, that's the most important thing. You can read vn's and studying grammar at the same time. The main thing to keep in mind is that you need to base your understanding on how the grammar works. I'd just install the jp vn you want to read, hook it up and read it. Find out were you stand and decide where to go from there. If it's too hard, or too slow enjoy (you will no doubt be slow) change you plan. So for VNR/TA. Basically the inside dictionary function for VNR is seriously slow if you use the normal jp-eng dic. Custom downloads of jp-jp dic's work a lot faster, but then it's in jp-jp. So I'd refrain from using VNR as a beginner. Although it can also be used as a ITH replacement to get the text hook of the vn. Bottom line, I'd rather recommend using TA at first. For me personally, I started with quite little knowledge. Slogged through that, and can handle jp pretty well now. Moeges no prb.
  8. Oh man, I feel so horrible now. All our secrets are out people. I am going to go and reflect on this, by laughing my ass off. I find the that people are serious about it, bordering on scary tbh.
  9. Someone. I am not saying any names! Has hyped me for SnU for weeks now xD So I am looking forwards to this as well. hype hype hype
  10. VN's are the greatest at immersion I feel. With the elements of visuals, music, voices combined with loads of text you get a great result. I find it a lot easier to get into a vn than I do a book most of the time. Although I read books at a regular basis. The main reason I do that is for trying out different genres and classics that might have a intellectual value. But I don't feel so immersed in them, nor do I enjoy them as much. The best vn's imo are those who combine both interesting ideas and a great story with the immersion of the visual novel medium. It's like you can have your cake and eat it too for me. Even though I like having both, I can enjoy the immersion of being inside a good story. Hananono felt was somewhat like this. I enjoyed the most the interesting setting around the protag, as well as I found discussions with Ouka and things surrounding her. But the drama and story was the majority of the vn, and ofc I enjoyed that as well. But not as much as the latter.
  11. I am honestly okay with moderate trophies stuff in shooters and such, as long as they are somewhat purposeful. Sometimes they give you a good idea to try new things out. Or keeping a score of stuff you haven't done. But most of the time they are a eyesore, randomly popping up when you haven't done shit really. You've wiped your own ass congrats! I don't mind this on normal games, nor do I think about privacy regarding them. But god damn, I want that shit to stay away from VN's. They don't have any place there lol.
  12. When you start up the vn. At the left side a VNR menu appears. In Options there, try with messing with the settings there.
  13. How about playing No, Thank You!!! Title fit's your tsun'ness, although prbly not the fitting 内情 or maybe it is? : D Honestly tho Mephi, don't you have any vn's you are curious about? Just browse vndb or something. High quality stuff recommends, Muramasa, Ruitomo, Subahibi (imo), Dies Irae.
  14. What it will come out 2015? I thought it was like half life 3 lol eta. Prbly is no doubt... As for choosing to play Yu-no now or later. No idea, I'd play something else. But your choice.
  15. I agree perhaps something should be done about having the weekly TL posts being in the recent list. It's really wasteful of space and potential. From some quick checking all comments on those posts happens within the week it's released as well. Might as well limit TL update post to one in the recent updates part, have it constantly on the top somewhat or something else. Also note that the recent updates section is already on the side, so there is not major con against changing this. Only overreaching pro's.
  16. This is pretty cool. But as you guys mentioned. Only Sekai can really do this monthly. Perhaps quarterly is more realistically for others..
  17. I would be overwhelmed with sadness, then use one of my other pair of headphones. haha - _ -
  18. Finished Hananono, I enjoyed it. I'll prbly go back to reading semiramis now. Otherwise, donno what to read.
  19. Somehow I am not so surprised. Seems like key really is unsure about AB lol.
  20. ^Walks around in a bartender suit all the time 9/10.
  21. Mainly three reasons for me. Either It's Eroi, or it's a plot device driving the story somehow. Or lastly it's comical.
  22. If you can't feel immersed in the story that's not really much you can do with at the moment. Different things click right with each person. Because we are different individuals with different viewpoints. Although that is fine, I prefer to broaden my own views. Therefore I'd recommend you try to analyze your own thoughts. Why is it boring, what is enjoyable with it. I am perhaps being biased in what I want to see vs what I am seeing? Following this line of thought, you seem to have a wrong idea what Evangelion is about. As it's not about mechs fighting, It's about Human psyche. How the characters react to the story and events unfolding. So try to think around that.
