Here's as simple as I can make it.
This is my original character, Minako-chan (do not steal):

I put many hours of effort into it. I even signed it to make sure people know it's mine. I completely came up with it myself using my own brain.
However, one day I'm walking across the street and I see a magazine that's running this new battle manga whose protagonist is this girl called Konami-chan

It's clearly based off of my original character since the lines used for the body pose are the exact same, but the magazine never asked me for permission to use my work as a foundation.
That makes me and Minako-chan very sad

We ban them and leave their thread up as a memento, just like Vlad the Impaler left his enemies' heads on a spike, to warn future trolls they're not safe.

Actually, we rarely suspend people (or at least I don't), I usually just restrict offending users from posting on the forums (unless it's something severe like hate speech), which means their account is still active and they can still view the site, but they can't post in threads for X amount of time.
I don't like locking threads tbh, but leaving all the inflammatory posts up is also not ideal, hence why most of the time the solution is to hide the posts and leave a warning in the thread in hopes of avoiding the discussion to go in that direction again.
Locking to me is a last resource, but I don't know how the other mods feel about it.
I actually don't dislike your proposal, it's just impossible to implement.

Jeez, people being incredibly pessimistic when there's plenty of fun shows to enjoy all year round? Color me surprised. There's no "anime started sucking since year XXXX", it's just subjectivity at play. The more anime you watch, the more regularity you start noticing, it's no new phenomena. It's funny how I always manage to find plenty of fun shows every single season, yet I always spot people saying how one season is worse than the previous one
This season actually has quite a few surprises, my favorites being Amaama to Inazuma and Amanchu, they're just a treat to watch and relax along with.
ReLIFE was an incredible watch. I binged the whole thing in one day and had tons of fun. Binged the web comic right after and had just as much fun. I feel like this is a show that is appreciated more if you're out of high school.
New Game is a guilty pleasure. Having read the manga, I knew exactly what to expect, and the anime delivered completely. This show has enough moe for every human in the world.
The adaptation of orange is also showing a lot of promise, and I feel like it could be one of the better shows this season depending on how they handle the story.
The one that came out of left field was Handa-kun. I totally expected it to be the same as Barakamon, oh boy how wrong I was. But I enjoy this style as well.
Mob Psycho 100 is perhaps the one that disappointed me the most. Not because I think it's terrible, but the main character really drives me nuts.

All resources at the top is pretty useful, but I think option 2 is a nice balance between them, giving you the fuwa related stuff first, then a description of the game, and then at the bottom all the links to get the game/patch.
I wouldn't mind option 1 at all but I like option 2 better, aesthetically speaking.

Watched Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge. 
It's very rare for me watch a show where literally every character is likeable, but this show did it. It was a joy to watch every single episode, and my only regret is that it had to end.
If you're looking for a fun, easy going slice of life that doesn't revolve around cute girls doing cute things, this is the show for you.

I couldn't delay it any longer, so I finally started watching Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.
11/10 I want Speedwagon to narrate my life too.
