I've been learning some HTML/CSS, and to no cause could my knowledge be better applied than a dedication to my good friend OriginalRun. As such, I've decided to craft a website that makes liberal use of CSS's styling capabilities so as to yield maximum Renness. Enjoy!

Can relate. Way too many nice, cute CGs in VNs get ruined by an apparent inclination to gratuitous fanservice.

Finished Umineko 1-4. It's quite nice and the amount of trolling kek. I hope Chiru have more trolling as how I often heard Bern dubbed as Trollkastel XD

Now, in spite of what I said above, I completely disagree with this. Every person I've seen complaining about the P5 translation (including notably Connor and Verde) has done so for the excellent reason that, if an official localization is weak (especially a high-profile one like P5), you should call out how and why it is, out of a very legitimate fear that we're going to regress back to what JP video game translations were like in years gone past, if the fan base isn't vigilant and vocal about problems. They also did an excellent job of clearly explaining the problems and their scope, and the claim that it was an attempt at "promotion of their ideas of an 'ideal' translation" is, IMO, a huge overstatement: the P5 translation stinks at times, and it isn't asking for too much to ask for a P5 translation that doesn't stink at times.
Getting far afield from the topic, though, at this point... I seriously wonder when Libra will release something other than physicals, even though I guess I'm unlikely to play it at this point... It sure is a weird English release for a VN, though, where the physical release is the first thing available.

We finally have a playable English language demo out for Chuusotsu! You can download it directly from this link. 
Obviously not a final build yet, but it should give a pretty good idea of the game already.

To use the phrase that oh so many translators and editors hate, it can't be helped. We have waited this long, we can wait a tiny bit longer. Actually, since I should be studying for my exams anyways, this might have been a good thing for me, lol.

Just started Grisaia no Kajitsu. The first thing i paid attention to are the emojis on fuwa.

Has anyone heard of what happened with Taisho Alice's localization? It was a mess- English dub by this one guy, the translation's all over the place and the Hiragana/Katakana Alice/Arisu thing. Otome fans were really disrespected by this company. It was shady from the start but I didn't expect it to be this much of a train wreck. 
Please check out this thread detailing how bad it was. I believe several translators also commented on the issue.
 
 

I mean, how heavy stones are we throwing anyway? This is just a topic memeing about a low-status release, it's not like we don't have others like that already for, say, sonicomi, or nympho sensei ryoko, or please bang my wife, et cetera. Taking it too seriously is probably a mistake. I will admit that in my mental map everyone knows what Decay wrote about moenovel's previous, fairly inoffensive release of divinity stage - the tl work is better though nothing special, and it's not spectacular in any way otherwise - or at least I'm too damn lazy to inform them.
 

Looks like everything's turning out for the better. My mom's insurance company is gonna cover the medical costs for the ER visit and the cost of my therapy, which my doctor recommended. I'm also allowed to do minor activities with my arm again, and to just slowly adjust into performing regular tasks. I am allowed to type with my left hand again too, though I'm not able to do it much right now. It's a work in progress, but at least it's something.

Rakuen is a linear story + after story for it. There's also an extra section for the events before Kajitsu.

They are separate entities. The Meikyuu + Rakuen main stories goes down a different path from all the after routes. The after routes are all continuations of the routes in Kajitsu.
Basically, play them in any order you want; it doesn't make a difference, as the after routes and grand route has nothing to do with one another.

Well, economist say that more competition means better quality, right? Right?

Reading Higurashi's fifth Chapter, six chapters in and I love it so far.
edit: this is the mightiest "fuuuuck no" scenes probably in the whole series so far.
 

This reminds me of a minor spat I got into with another fan of Madoka Magica, a rather homophobic one, who was quite upset that the original author of the storyline said in an interview that Sayaka and Kyouko would have become a legit romantic couple if they had survived the events of the show. One way to look at it, is that the god of the world is clearly stating the intent of his creation. That there is no other way to take it. The alternative I posited was to discount the Authors'  intent, that by applying the ideas of "The Death of the Author" there was nothing in the show itself that definitively pointed to romantic feelings between the two characters and that their relationship could have been clearly taken a different way. 
To care about what an author (or company especially) declares as "canon" is to discount your own ideas and views about the work, and instead blindly accept what an authority figure states.
