Because of this, the term ‘justifiable homicide’ is incredible vague as it describes a different ‘standard’ depending on the person. To Narcosis nothing may justify homicide, to Funnerific homicide is justified if engaging in self-defence. Arguing that there is a single objective standard to justify homicide is pointless, you’ll just engage in roundabout arguments all day.
Unless you’re talking about the legal definition, then that’s a relatively simple answer.

Last year they specifically pointed out that their top ten doesn't count steam sales. Those simply weren't accounted for at all so in reality Eden was first with quite a gap when you actually add steam numbers. 

It should be said that surpassing Fata Morgana in sales is not exactly an impressive feat. 

I'd say Majikoi A-1 and A-2 qualify, even if they're fandiscs. I count them as fully independent releases, and they're pretty big. 
I'd also count Nekopara Vol. 2 for sure. That might actually tilt the vote a little, the nekopara fanbase is scary, lol.
And if it was me, i'd throw in Koiken Otome just because it was a somewhat popular release, even if it wasn't particularly well received.

Nurse Love Addiction was a solid yuri release.
Kiss for the Petals - New Generation as well, though it's not quite as highly rated as NLA. 
 
Not quite sure what kind of standards you're using here, but these are the other most notable releases of the year to me. I don't really think they stand much of a chance of actually winning it all but some of them may do better than some of the other games present.

It's a shame you're only including translated titles, especially given you didn't put that in the name. VA-11 Hall-A was easily the second-best VN released in the last year that I played, behind S;G 0, and while I haven't played a whole lot of the ones in your tournament, I know it's a heck of a lot better than all of the other VNs I did play on those brackets.

And while it's somewhat nitpicky, I too feel that throwing the events that far into the future wasn't needed, it feels like 2030~ at best.

Hopefully enough people already bought it for ps4 and vita either way.

I'd definitely be interested in it, the more translated VN's the merrier. Although I do agree with the general consensus in getting more medium-longer VN's rather than the short ones we've been getting like Nekopara and Corona Blossom. I can't comment on CB, as I haven't played it yet, but as much as I did enjoy the Nekopara games, they're too short!
Would definitely love more VN's with Princess Evangeline's length coming our way officially.
But saying that, of course I won't turn away more of the shorter ones, especially if they're at least decent and worth the read.

I've solved the text artifacting issue.
Step 1: Add 960x544 as a custom resolution to your GPU Driver's control program. For NVIDIA, you go into the "Change Resolution" screen, click on "Customize...", then "Create custom resolution." Input 960x544, click test, hit yes, then accept. 960x544 should appear as a custom resolution in your resolution list. It will look something like this. At this point, you should also make sure that in the "Adjust Desktop Size and Position" screen you have it set to "Aspect Ratio," "GPU," and to Override program settings. It should look like this. (edit: If you have AMD, I have no idea how to do this, sorry.)
Step 2: Go into C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Frontwing\Himawari -The Sunflower-\. From there, edit config.xml with a text editor, and find the "no_full_res" option, set it to 0. Then scroll down and find "full_height" and "full_width", set those to 544 and 960 respectively. If you don't set that resolution correctly, it will display at 960x544, but it will still apply weird filtering causing artifacts.
With that, you should have a proper full screen rendered at 960x544 with no crappy artifacting.

You can't pirate it on vita. There's no way to bypass 3.61 fiirmware check protection.
