Weirdly enough, considering America’s love of all things ‘R’, I thought they would have preferred the more ‘R’ish ‘arse’ over ‘ass’ xD

Saw it at the cinema with the whole family. It's superb. Try not to read up too much about it or you'll be spoilt; it is far more than just a body swap romance and surprised me which was remarkable in itself. I'm looking forward to seeing A silent voice in the cinema as well, but it has far more modest ambitions in its plot and I doubt will be quite as good but it's still rating well.

    HOLY FUCKING SHIT.
P.S: I hope this means research into the Alcubierre Drive is viable.

    Paging @Down because he smurt
But I feel like these are different kinds of "negative mass", focusing on negating different properties of regular mass. The one the researchers discovered seems like an exotic property of matter at specific circumstances, while the kind of negative mass you need for the Alcubierre Drive (if memory serves) is the kind that you can only get by warping spacetime in a specific way to create negative density.

Not my research topic so I'm not an expert, but you're right. The negative mass we're talking about here is an "effective negative mass" which is a result of the numerous strange behaviours that exotic states of matter like Bose-Einstein condensates display. Transposing classical concepts like mass to these purely quantum states of matter where even the notion of a substantial, individual particle breaks down would be misleading, it's quite different from what's involved in the speculative "negative mass" in general relativity.
But both are still cool. That's why we read sci-fi.

Hmmm, well take this with a grain of salt because this is just what I'm hearing (haven't confirmed it myself.) The open world genre can be split into two categories, a traditional "controlled world" formula which is like a linear game placed on an open world map. It's like a scripted world, it's open but with cutscenes and fetch quests which means that one player's path will be similar to another player's path.
The new kid on the block is the "engaged world", which builds an open world and the game itself is that exploration. It leaves people to craft their own adventures. Craft their own narratives. And these experiences will be different enough to each other to encourage sharing on social media. Which is what's happening to BotW.
BotW leans towards the "engaged world" and a lot of people are excited. That being said a lot of people were excited about "The Sims" franchise and I never found it to be an engaging game ...
Anyway, that's just what I hear

    What he said ^
The first thing that caught my eye in Gabriel Dropout was the extremely liberal use, and periodic horrible abuse for comedic effect, of biblical terminology in the subtitles, which is of course completely absent in Japanese but extremely common in English. The subtitlers used it to great effect in characterization, with it working differently for each of the characters they had: there's an episode where Vigne, the goody-goody devil, sits down in front of her meal and says いただきす, or, as the TL had it, "Through the Dark Lord, amen." Then she does it again later in the episode, exactly the same, for good measure.
That's just one example; it's kind of the tip of the iceberg, the first thing you see before you fall in and notice just how much is going on under the surface. The more Japanese you understand, the more you'll recognize just how much liberty they took with the script, and the more familiar you are with what I would characterize as typical American sitcom vernacular, the more familiar (and funny) the patter of the English dialogue will feel. It just sounds vastly more like how people would actually talk to each other than typical anime subtitles.
Edit: Just watched the last episode, and one memorable line had a character use the phrase "open a can of divine retribution" (i.e., instead of "open a can of whoop ass", and further instead of probably something super bland if translated literally like "do something horrible to me", though admittedly I didn't actually hear the Japanese that time). That's some good shit right there.

Surprise! I know how much everyone has been looking forward to the hit visual novel Nympho Sensei Ryoko, and now it's finally here! With this mammoth on the horizon, maybe they'll have time to work on some of their side projects like Django and Sumaga.

Unless you've got a spare 200 hours (there's a guide called the 300 hour guide) the anime is quite the tempting alternative. You can't get to the after story unless you've unlocked each characters' sparkly thing (which is dodgy gameplay design imo. Replaying the lengthy common route 7ish times to do each character just so you can get to the ending feels like the developers trolling their fans.)
The anime was actually a nice adaption, and if you like that then you can always play the VN afterward for added frustration depth

Sure, it's possible to think of my despicableness, my inner darkness as a forum feature that allows the personality of everyone else to shine brighter and appear nicer than it would otherwise. Without my dark contrast other people's 'nice' personality would lose much of it's ... 'niceness', because if everything is white than there would be no white. 'Never to suffer would never to have been blessed' as Poe once, er, poemed.
So you're welcome  and feel free to thank me with cookies, or some pie ... actually some pie sounds mighty tempting :3
Thank you for the hard work, Tayleen  It's all much appreciated
