  1. Damn, I'm just trying to make a thread to discuss this game and suddenly you stole my job lol (Well, thanks though). Be ready for my long post here though. Oh, may I suggest to make a poll for favorite route and character here, since Dracu Riot was a charage and I think opinion for each people may be different. Sorry and thanks in advance. I'll move my discussion material to this thread, so to all user here use this thread as Dracu Riot discussion thread. And I'll made it more short.
  2. Oh, forgot to comment here beforehand, but since Insem fulfill his promise, I'll take back what I said before, although I still with statement that Dracu Riot was still a failed project though (Hey, I mean failed to be finished by Insem here, okay. Red text in Umineko usually contained exact word by the way). Good luck for the new team here.
  3. Hello and welcome again to the Fuwanovel. I thought introduce myself at 41st post was quite late, and here we had a veteran who reintroduce himself at 2,300 more posts (Not that I said it's wrong to be friendly though, and his situation was different though). Oh, nice picture of Natsume Rin there (Although solidbatman slightly dislike it though).
  4. @Mugi Not really since Dracu Riot was only charage (I mean have no true route), but the reasoning was more for the people who obviously want to read all route translated. Actually it's still worth it if you just read it only for Azusa or Elina route, but if you aim to read it completely better waiting of course. tldr - It's still worth to read, but keep it mind that if you want to read it in English completely better waiting for completion patch.
  5. Well, I think the question should be could you read Japanese for last half of Miu's route or not? If yes then I suggest Dracu Riot (Or if you can't read Japan, then just read manga for story at Miu's route since Dracu Riot manga adapted Miu's route), and if not then of course the choice goes to Tokyo Babel duh. Although your VNDB list said that most of your VN was translated though, so I suggest you for Tokyo Babel, although Dracu Riot also good in it's own way of course.
  6. Visual Novel Translation Status (04/02/2016) Frankly with 4 image at header of VNTS I was quite confused with the title (But I appreciate your effort, admin Tay), so since 2 of 4 header was came from quite popular VN, I decided to use the title based on those 2 VN. Twilight is actually quite infamous with the vampire fan, but I guess it's kinda fitting for the man behind the VN itself until a little while ago. And purgatory was obviously reference to Tokyo Babel duh. Welcome to my 2nd post for my commentary about VN Translation Update here. First we surely had some of the update here. And for my commentary I think based on Tay update I'll divided between Mangagamer and fan translation segment. Based on VNTS, from JAST and Sekai there's no worthwhile progress, but I think I'll open the commentary segment for Sekai first in order to state my opinion about Root Double Sekai Project As only Decay was the one who commented on it, guess it makes me the 2nd people here? Anyway, I'd already suspected that Sekai might delayed the release of Root Double in March considering that they never updated the Kickstarter past March 10th until near March end. From the messages that Funyarinpa got from NeoGAF forum and DavidB statement, I guess it's majorly the delay part was come from Regista or Yeti instead of Sekai which come as of no surprise since Sekai promised us to release XTend version on PC and I suspect that maybe Regista also decided to do that for their own language just recently (Or still in planning), and I speculate that since according to those 2 statements that Regista was did not contact Sekai Project in regard of Root Double (If my instinct was right of course, and virginsmasher said it happened with Himawari). But I think Sekai should announce this fact to the fans instead of fans try to deduce from the publisher word. And as for Sekai Project, other than Root Double delay not much needed to be commented. Mangagamer Normally until surprised announcement it should be the best announcement and should be save for the last. But because the surprised announcement, I'll decided to make a commentary before fan translation segment. Okay, this time Mangagamer was bring us many update. I think as for round up not much interesting happened there. Fatamorgana, Kuroinu, and MYTH was not on my list of looking forward I think but congratulations for MYTH for reaching 100% translation first though (Fatamorgana will be release on May 13th and Kuroinu reaching 40% though just for recap here). Imopara 2, well copy paste pink-haired heroine issue aside the progress was surprisingly fast (Or Mangagamer already translated this before announcement was also possible) at 36.59% and editing at 10% in this moment. Evangile W as also progressed quite well with the progress was at 32.58% (And it mean the time for Evangile fan to see their heroine more was slowly approaching). As for the more interesting update, Da Capo 3 at this moment was at 85% (To admin @Tay, you forgot this little update), Pygmalion was at 63.31%, and Bokuten was edited at 70%. Da Capo 3 was had quite an interesting history with this community, notably involving MT and Aaeru. I'll try to write more if Mangagamer managed to release it, and looks like Decay prediction about Da Capo 3 translation will be finished around July might be true. As for Pygmalion, no more comment at this moment other than Clephas didn't like it much (Although the girl MC remind me of Aoishiro premise though). Bokuten, the interesting thing was according to VNDB 2 seiyuu for Root Double MC was casted as male side characters here. Another interesting thing was it will follow Overdrive usual theme (Music, and the band was comprised of all angels), and sex scene was apparently quite important compared to previous Overdrive games. I think if I'll type more here it'll be too much. Finally for the big news from Mangagamer. As we knew, Tokyo Babel was finally released. From the response at Steam it seems quite accepted well. And VNDB scoring of Tokyo Babel rise a bit from 7.01 to 7.03. Our Clephas and Conjuror also like this game. For the size, it was quite big at 8.57 GB, but I still accepted it compared to School Days (9.6 GB) and Shiny Days (16 GB) size (And apparently 'Days' games had some kind of bug that was caused by poor programming at Overflow). Go play it if you didn't play the demo yet, and it's all age by the way (Although I didn't mean for 4 - 12 years old children though, especially girl one. The reason I stated that because there was some PreCure seiyuu involving in Tokyo Babel, and PreCure targeting girls from age 4 - 12 years old. Anyway, the content was definitely not for children). As for Decay commentary, for the picture it was somehow quite funny that no one commented on that until now, and for maid cafe, well let's just said that propeller also need their fan service dose a little bit. Fan Translation There's surely many interesting progress coming from here. First I'll comment on Koiken Otome progress as they finally had their TLC at 100% (By the way, it's 2nd update you didn't catch it admin Tay) and QC at 86.39%. I didn't know how much we must waiting for this, but maybe hopefully this year it'll be finished. Oh, just expect it as moege/charage with chuunige element instead of pure chuunige like Tokyo Babel if you didn't want to be disappointed since I'd read some review about this game and the response was less than favorable. Astral Air was stable (I mean always updated each week) as usual, but the progress was slowing down at this week (From 0.4% to 0.2%) and looks like they decided to finish Yuuki route translation first before move to Corona route. Harakano, well good for pregnancy fetish I supposed (I was only comment on this because it was one of 4 image header lol). Congratulations on Magical Eyes release though (Well Fruitbat was comprised of fan translator, so it's counted here I supposed), although the graphic was quite less good compared to other VN, but I appreciate their effort to make animated OP, had the singer sing the OP, and had the seiyuu for voicing the game (Keep in mind that the company behind Magical Eyes was not professional, but amateur group so normally the expected production value should be less imo. Sorry for to be blunt here). For the project that need some help, first I will need to commented on Aokana. For Ren's group, good luck for finding N2 and N3 translator first, and I'll be waiting until December for the completion here (Since you promised us to release the patch at October for the earliest, but I'll be lenient here so I said until December (Although earlier was of course very good)). About the second group, for 5 language since mod zenophilius suggested something interesting, how about if I translated it in English, Arabic, Latin, Indonesia, and Chinese language by using Google Translate lol and release it unedited. Just give me script, had programmer created the patch with the translation, and done. For serious comment, it was quite hard to translate in 5 languages at the first place and more hard if you want to had it translated properly. So I think the 2nd group was quite attention seeker here. And for To Hearts 2, even though in 'certain site' it was considered as complete I think it's quite nice that the translator still spent some effort to refine it. Good luck ittaku, and thanks for your 7 years (Soon to be 8 years) of works. Finally, this is surprising indeed. After I rant on this board back at 21 and half hours ago about this, and suddenly 9 and half hours ago (I was not online back there) it was really happened, the promise from back at 2013 was suddenly happened. I mean with some certain translator promised to release any completed work, partial or not. Okay, I was talk about Dracu Riot and Insem here. Honestly, it was definitely pleasant surprised here, but too bad for Miu's route it's still half translated, so it was still incomplete. I was planned to rant about Dracu Riot here if the announcement didn't happened. Anyway, with this guess Yuzu-soft cursed was almost broken here and hopefully some user here was willing to translate remaining 10% of the game or last half of Miu's route, and finally we had 2 Yuzu-soft translation project break the curse (I mean with August, Yuzu-soft games was cursed to had their translation to be never finished. The first game that break Yuzu-soft curse was Noble Noodle Works translation, which was released back at Christmas 2015). As for my state, I was thinking if I should open the discussion if not, but maybe I should if only to talk about 3 and half finished route (The bonus route script was around 4300 lines, which was quite big compared to Noble Works bonus route script which was only around 1100 lines). See you later at Dracu Riot discussion thread later. I think that's all I could write for now, and thanks for reading my though here which was quite long here.
  7. Welcome to the forum. (Cliche I knew) How inexperience you were in VN anyway? Okay, for starter I think you should play the one that recommended above. Shuffle and To Heart2 was good too. And since no one recommended it here, how about Fate Stay Night and Clannad here (Both of those were quite popular and had also popular anime adaptation, which you surely had watch). Well, good luck to made some progress in VN world.
  8. Well, I used caps lock for capitalise letter. Already getting use to it, but guess people prefer shift for obvious reason I supposed.
  9. I want to said something in length matter, but after read Deep Blue post, I think I decided to declare (Using Umineko Red Text style) 'DRACU RIOT TRANSLATION WAS A FAILED PROJECT' Hopefully it'll be useful for preventing people to make Insem more relevant and prevent hate to himself (Didn't know for 4chan though, since they were easily agitated for easy word). And I such a fool for had slightly believing Insem *facepalm* As for Decay, I understand real life matter will affect translation project, just as Yandere show us with Majikoi project. But with admitting that he was in relationship and admitted that he was embarrassed for playing VN, well that's a troll and liar would do. For mod Nosebleed, then instead of said waiting him for the script, how about someone here who had talent in programming just extracting the script and give it to someone who willing to work on it instead of waiting the liar to fulfill his promise. Although to be honest I didn't had any talent for extracting script though or translating either, what I had was only wish for someone to revive this project without waiting for Insem pointless release promise and of course completed it. Edit - Sorry a bit emotional in this post, since well at my home the moment I wrote this that was already at April 2nd. Who expected that Insem really fulfill his promise back as 2 years ago. I was already ready to write something, but maybe I should hold back since Insem after all fulfill his promise (Even if it's very late at 2 years later) and I should respect him for that. Although my statement about someone should pick remaining half of Miu's route still remaining, okay.
  10. Welcome to the forum and hope you enjoy your stay here (Very cliche word I know). As for recommendation, since you didn't specify any I think this picture should help. Oh, for unlisted VN Koichoco, Koi Resort, To Heart 2, and Noble Works seems to be a good choice. Anyway, once again welcome to Fuwanovel, and just expect that you'll got moe picture on this board sooner or later if I may advise you, Myichi.
  11. Hmmmm......... well, actually there will be too much example if we talked about good school life VN. But I think ToHeart 2 was quite basic and had much school life (Just don't expect very good story and you'll set). Koichoco also good choice, although the first gameplay was forced you to play pink haired heroine route (Chisato). Feel free to use this save if you really want skip her route ie don't want to play forced order. Or if you really want more unique settting, maybe Shuffle (Just want to pay tribute to the recently passes away the writer here). Hope you'll find out your taste here between my recommendation.
  12. To be honest I didn't know much about marathon event, ie never following one. But I think the truth was quite questionable to said the least, or so I thought until I checked Deep Blue link. I think I also like to ask is the organizer prepared free drink and food or not (Cheap is fine), instead they prepare gift for the runner (soap with English language), which to be honest also questionable since that most of the participant probably didn't understand English. Also is the participant nose somewhat not functioning that they mistake soap scent as grape scent (Granted, it may mean that China was already too advance in term of scent, but still), or even their tongue (I mean one bite surely will let us know that it's soap, not snack bar unless the runner was take a bite at half directly). Even then why they swallow it instead of spit it out after found out the taste was definitely not food (Over 12,000 people according to Twitter). So much questionable from the event there, but maybe the runner smell and taste sense was kinda dull after running 16 km. As for my commentary here, to be honest instead of using soap with English label as gift, once again they should go with cheap energy drink or snack bar (I don't know if in China soap was cheaper compared to those 2 foods, but the organizer should go with common sense obviously). Or if they insist to use soap as gift, why not using China label in the first place, ie if the soap company was the sponsor of marathon running. But, if the sponsor was not soap company, well it's quite questionable or to be blunt stupid decision from the organizer themselves to prepare English labeled soap as the gift. As as for language accuracy thing, I think once again it's like sanathlig said it's probably for export instead of for local (This is my 3rd time, but seriously who the heck had the right mind prepared soap with English label as the prize for the people who probably wasn't their target at the first place ie local people who didn't understand English). And to answer Ren question, I think it was very different between translating VN and using simple common sense to not using English product for local people. I think that's all I could comment.
  13. Good luck to the translator, even if Angel Beats was still partially release at VNDB, like Supipara. Although I'll be better waiting Key to release complete version of Angel Beats VN though.
  14. For @Bolverk, happy 22nd birthday. I just remember that I sometimes saw you in some thread, and I just checked your profile by the way. But I think it's still nice to said happy birthday.
  15. For Decay, thanks. Quite big I see. Well, at least it was made at 2012 (I'd know that SakuSaku size was at 7GB, and it was released at 2014), so at least it's quite justified compared to School Days, which the download size was reaching 9.6 GB for 2005 games (Granted the production value was a bit high though). @Vorathiel I see, glad if you enjoying it. Well, if those technical aspect didn't bother you, then it's fine. Well, good luck if you play the game later.
  16. What I knew about this game that since this is part one of trilogy and apparently the game was ended in cliffhanger, I decided that I should wait until part 2 and 3 released and translated. Although if you want to play it, well it's quite good game if we based it from VNDB score. The OP was quite good imo. As for release plan in this year, don't count on it too much, although I'll be surprised if Sekai managed to release it this year and without kickstarter or indie go go fundraising thing since this is one of quite a big title for Sekai (I mean with Japanese professional company and in regard of famous seiyuu like Kawashima Rino).
  17. @Suzu Fanatic For Gethel question, I think I'm going with slightly off lol. Nice speculation I suppose, and may I ask how much the file size for Tokyo Babel? Is it really 15 GB, 9 GB or less? I asked that because Mangagamer and Steam said it was 15 GB. Thanks in advance. Oh, for the people who already finished buying and downloading Tokyo Babel, enjoy the game. As for vorathiel, well since he was nitpick of course he'll try to search the game fault to the very small one, but I think if he could overcome the technical aspect, guess he'll enjoying the game.
  18. Just checked his profile at VNDB and found out that he also one of three writer of Flyable Heart, so any fan of Flyable Heart want to express their sadness here? For Shuffle, I remember back at 2009 my friends show me 3 VNs. One of them was Shuffle, while the other 2 were Shera My Witch and Kira Kira. And at that time I played and finished Shuffle. I also remembered that I always got stuck at Kaede route when I supposed to go to Primula route. Turn out I need to finish Nerine route first and I still didn't enter Nerine route yet *facepalm*. For now, Shuffle may be bland, but at 2009 I think for English VN community it was accepted as good VN after Mangagamer and JAST (Mainly G-Collection) nukige release. Even though I said it was quite bland, I'll still recommended Shuffle to newcomer in VN, along with To Heart 2 and Katawa Shoujo if they need good and easy story VN. After all, Shuffle was my first non nukige VN, and maybe if I didn't play that I'll never be here. I think about the death of the author, I said my condolence for his family who left behind and hopefully he'll able to Rest in Peace.
  19. At least now solidbatman know there is a good VN called Snow Sakura (Maybe it's mediocre for nowadays though). Well, now I wonder if Winged Cloud will release VN called Sakura Snow too (Hopefully not, unless Winged Cloud somehow run out of flame for their cooking and need some flame from Snow Sakura fan lol). As for OP, good luck and hope to be successful I suppose, since to be honest I didn't understand technical term here.
  20. So, our new speculation around April or May, eh. And apparently the post was quite new at March 28th. Well, let's see at 62 days later at very late (May 31st).
  21. @Funyarinpa Thanks for the info. I think it's obviously very vital information and I think DavidB should tell us here, although he might too busy to announce it here here. @kingdomcome I think I'll quote the latest announcement from Root Double kickstarter below. It was at March 10. I think that's all the info we could got about Regista activity here (I didn't checked NeoGAF), and maybe Regista was quite busy (I didn't know about technical term like cloud save and overlay for gaming programming). And in the same announcement Sekai said that they still hardworking to bring translated Root Double release here.
  22. Since my Root Double thread was better for the game discussion itself, I decided to bump this thread. I think as of now March 2016 release chance was very slim or nearing none, especially today it's already March 30th, and yet the Steam Store still not updated the date other than March. At kickstarter there's still not much update, so I think it's better to prepare the worst. I'd already edited release date for Root Double at VNDB, and hopefully Sekai managed to release it around 2016. Oh, even if Root Double delayed, at least we'll got Tokyo Babel tomorrow. As for Root Double delay, my speculation probably because Regista still didn't finished the preparation from their side. For kickstarter, I think since they started to closely approximately 2 months before supposed release, I was kind of doubt that if Sekai will release it at March (For comparison successful Libra promised for translated release at November, and their kickstarter finished at January), other than they probably still didn't gather didn't enough necessary money from kickstarter (In this case it should be them that they announced it instead of the fans that try to justify the delay). And one last thing, I'm still hopeful for Root Double release at 2016.
  23. Mod @Nosebleed I see, sorry for my lack of information here. In this case, I think it's safe to assume that either the hacker was very smart for managed to collect his phone number or either his phone was stolen some times ago. Once again, I'm very sorry for not knowing Dovac's situation. And well, if that's really the case it was safe to said the victim here was Dovac of course. Well, apparently I should not to asking about Root Double release either, it's just my thought earlier, and I'm deeply apologize for trying to thinking about that. But if the harassers really only complained about censorship, it was once again very pointless. And if you said that the harasser only said like profanity to Dovac, I didn't know what to said to harassers other than they had too much free time and obviously they already becoming criminal. I think that's all for now, and I think for commentary about the original topic, I had enough to expressed my opinion either in Fuwanovel or VNDB, I think.
  24. Interesting that some people had Dovac phone number. But I think even if Dovac somewhat quite infamous so much that we could compared he to Moogy in the past, the harasser was not much better than Dovac himself. Especially if Dovac himself complained it on Twitter. Beside, I think complaining about censorship was quite pointless in my opinion and if they really hate censorship, I suggest they should learn Japanese instead of bombarding Dovac. One more thing, is Dovac really not realizing that his action of censorship will lead to flame and yet he could be so careless to let his phone number to be known publicly, I think it's an interesting question but maybe we'll never find the answer. Note that if I had Dovac phone number, instead of harassing him with topic like loli censorship, I think I'll try to use it to asking about Root Double release plan in March. Then again, if one or 2 harasser asking him about that I think it's understandable from the point of fans, but if all of the harasser only asking about censorship then I think Dovac had right to be explode at Twitter, because I think the final product was far more important than silly and useless thing such as censorship when the game just announced and released in original language. tldr - The harassing because a fear of censorship was quite pointless imo. But I think it's far more reasonable if some of the harasser asking about Root Double.
  25. Welcome and nice to meet you too. Hope you could enjoy your stay here. Of course in here we'll accepted any contribution from the member. PS - Looks like I'll getting use to said cliche word to newcomer here lol.
