B0X0R
The snow has (mostly) melted. The flowers are (trying to) bloom. Convention season is coming. What conventions are you guys planing to go to? I'm going to be heading to Anime Central with the anime club.
suikashoujo
Oh, you too? I'm either going to Acen with my anime club or my friend, haven't decided yet. I love Acen, it's been 3 years since I actually had the money to go.
B0X0R
Awesome! This is going to be my second time going to Acen.

solidbatman
I have never once gone to a convention. They scare me Flutterz and Stray Cat
GetterEmperor
I planned to go the Anime Expo, but I have classes now so I can't go unfortunately.
Cyrillej1
I already went to one near me, and it was my 4th time. I mostly like browsing the vendor area and seeing all the anime/game stuff there.
B0X0R
I have never once gone to a convention. They scare me I would suggest going to small conventions first. I mean really small conventions that are only one day and are in a smaller venue such as a library. Conventions are a great way to remind yourself that you aren't the only one who loves what you love.
Fred the Barber
I'm going to Sakura-Con this weekend. I went last year as well, but I was a little nervous about it. I ended up hitting up a couple panels (actually maybe only one?), and spent most of my time wandering the floor, looking at cool fan art, cosplay, etc. This year, I'm a bit more comfortable with the whole thing, and I'm actually putting together a little "schedule" of four or five panels that I want to see. The Sekai Project industry panel and the subsequent Visual Novel panel are at the top of my list  Conventions are a great way to remind yourself that you aren't the only one who loves what you love.  Exactly. With a hobby that's a little bit out there like anime/manga/VNs/generic otakudom, it's an incredible experience to realize that literally everybody around you wants to talk about it, immerse themselves in it, revel in it just as much as you do. Zenophilious
If I had money and time (it's always right on my finals), I'd go to FanimeCon, but I don't, so...yeah. I wanted to make a Tony cosplay from Hotline Miami 2, but it'll take a while, so even if I had the time and money, I wouldn't be able to dress up, and that'd be lame. Plus Fuwanovel manages to avoid the main drawback of conventions - having to face 3D people.
solidbatman
I'd rather not deal wih 98% of the people here face to face. And many people at conventions look and seem annoying. Not to mention the terrible cosplay.

Plus Fuwanovel manages to avoid the main drawback of conventions - having to face 3D people. Last time I went to a Con (Fanime), I got glomped by just about every girl that saw me, since I was dressed as Kingdom Hearts 2 Sora. Not gonna lie...it was fun  Also got to experience the Gauntlet of Hugs before it was banned. A guy lifted me off the ground and hugged me so hard my back cracked, but in a way that felt awesome. The dude was as large as a bear xD

The_Count
Sadly I live pretty far away from any big conventions, but I am going to Animaritime in the summer. Not a huge one, but it's a fun weekend either way.
