Hello everyone ! Here is my latest project, Cursed Sight. It has in fact in brewing for quite a while now, and I am happy to finally be able to share it with you all. A demo version of the game is available here:

So far, my most common feedback is that my previous titles were too short. With Cursed Sight, I am hoping to find a balance between staying succinct and satisfying the players' wishes. The full script is currently around 45,000 words long. Cursed Sight will also be my first release with multiple complete endings.

It's podcast revival time everyone! I want to record an episode as soon as possible, and I thought the best way to get back into things is to have a "welcome back" episode, featuring a total of 3 guests who are frequent players of visual novels. Here is the topic (as suggested by solidbatman some time ago) that I had in mind:
 
Episode 12: Introducing a Genre - How to Attract Newcomers to the VN World
 
As the title suggests, this episode will be about how we as visual novel enthusiasts can introduce newcomers to the genre and what you think are the most effective ways in doing so. Example questions may include:
What games do you recommend every newcomer checks out when it comes to playing visual novels? Which games do you think newcomers should avoid? If you are a veteran of VNs (translated or not), is there any advice you have for someone just starting out? On the contrary, if you are new to the scene, what sorts of questions do you have if any? Major companies (Sekai Project, Mangagamer, etc.) are working hard to translate VNs for the world and bring the genre to many players, both old and new. What are you opinions on their style of business? Do you feel gaming platforms such as Steam are a good introductory way of showcasing visual novels? Would you recommend OELVNs or Japanese translated VNs for those who are just starting out? What are your opinions when comparing the 2? What kinds of genres exist in visual novels, and which ones do you think are the easiest to get into and enjoy? Do you recommend watching anime adaptations (if they exist) for VNs?  
These are just some of the questions I can think of for the podcast. For the actual cast itself, I would like to feature members from across the spectrum, meaning I would like a visual novel (translated or untranslated) reader who has been on the scene for quite some time, in addition to someone who is new to the world of VNs. Overall, I want 3 volunteers for this cast. Please volunteer if you are interested below. Podcast episodes last about 60 minutes, and all details can be found in the OP of the main thread:

I posted this on the visual novels subreddit, but I wanted to share it with everyone here as well. I do believe it is Narcissu's ten year anniversary, so I figured this is a fine time to showcase these photos!     Narcissu was my first visual novel, and it is still my favorite to this day. After playing through the game, I wanted to discuss it with others so badly, but it was quite niche at the time, so I ended up participating in the Japanese communities. My Japanese is only average, but I just wanted to share my passion for the game with the people out there.   I got to know a couple of Japanese folks who were also fans of the game. Then, in 2011, I decided to take a ten day trip in Japan. Once I told these guys about it, they were extremely friendly and proposed a meet up right away.     One of these online friends happened to live around Kyoto. I stayed there for two nights, and the two of us took a day trip to visit the landmarks from Narcissu. We got to know each other thanks to the game, so there was no better way to spend the day.     Even though the flowers did not blossom during October, we still made the most of our time there. We talked about scenes from the game as we passed some of the actual locations, but I will keep it vague to avoid spoilers. Though we had a language barrier, we still did our best to have a great time, and it is all thanks to this one game.     This has to be what I love most about visual novels, or any fan community in general. It is when a game transcends being entertainment and creates friendships, even when we are in different parts of the globe. When an opportunity to meet up surfaces, there is something really precious about that.     Thank you for reading!
