I loved Yukino as a character but her route is considered by many the worst in the whole game. MC does some really facepalm-worthy shit there The ending is nice, but the route requires some endurance to get through
(for me it wasn't that hard, but I understand where do critics come from. Well, one of the first VNs I read was infamous Harukoi Otome - after I survived Yuika's route, where for maaaany days in a row the protagonist would just whine to himself and do nothing else, Hatsukoi 1/1 was nothing compared to that )

Renne/renna i think. The blue wasnt bad either. Ai isnt really that bad, but it struck me that she took dai for granted in her route, while being desperate and lovestruck in others. I'd do her route first

I think I'm closest to the first option in the poll. Meaning, I sometimes develop feelings for the heroines in the VN or anime I'm watching, and sometimes even wish that they were real, but usually I get over it - otherwise I wouldn't have been able to read other routes or other VNs
But still, some of those 2D girls have their own little space in the corner of my heart. I experienced this for example when rereading Princess Evangile recently - I almost instantly felt like coming back home, and was really glad to see them again

Yes, Princess Evangile has nice art.
If we're going by art quality, then I'd also recommend Konosora, Koirizo, Chrono Clock, Yoake, Fureraba, SakuSaku, KoiIro ... there are many good looking translated VNs. ToHeart2 is actually pretty good looking too.
I also absolutely loved the art in YU-NO (original, not remake), but YMMV in this case.

In this case, then yeah you can wait until Easter. I'm quite sure that they can release Natsuki's patch by Easter if all goess well, or if not then at least Rikka's route should be a good read by then.
Anyway, today we have surprise release of Rikka's patch in which it's very surprising because they say that they may not be able to have Christmas release, and lo and behold they managed to release it one day before Christmas. Go get the patch here, and enjoy the Christmas gift there. As for the next plan, Trip will took a rest for one or two weeks presumeably for holiday so perhaps we'll going to see the progress at Touko's route at 2019 later. Understandable. I didn't know the true power of utsuge before i tried it. Never again, as long as i can avoid it. I don't aim to read vn's to feel like crap afterwards.

Yep, same here. I read through the route, but had to skip the h-scenes. They were way beyond the line for me. I mean, come on, in-story she's 13 or 14, but resembles rather 8-10. As you say, she's total child. H-scenes with such character are just creepy, period. Other than that, the route was actually decent (but still my least favorite).

Actually, just a while ago I completed SukiSuki. I have really mixed feelings about it.
Choice system with it's dating-sim approach was really tiring, I'd prefer more traditional structure, with choices at branching points. The way it was, before locking onto a route we're limited to short scenes, that have to be episodic in nature, as reader can watch them in random order. That somehow limits the possibilities of proper build-up etc. I felt that sometimes there were too sudden jumps in relationships, or in general things felt rushed.
My favorite routes and heroines were definitely Rinka, followed by Yuuki. Ayame was nice too, but drama in her route felt a bit forced - like writers were trying too hard. Chiho's route was weird and a bit confusing, but enjoyable, and I wrote about Mahiru in the beginning of this post...
Like some other posters in this thread, I prefer "normal/non-confession" endings for Yuuki and Rinka, although that's close tie.
Sadly, h-scenes seriously dampened my enjoyment of this VN - just didn't align with my tastes I guess. I can see that there was lot of attention paid to them by creators (animations etc), but I didn't enjoy them - they were filled to the brim with almost all bad eroge cliches, and I didn't feel too much love there, just porn. Something was off. Also, for each heroine they were following basically the same formula/scenario. They could have been cut out just like in Steam version of Sanoba, and I think I'd enjoy this VN more that way - sometimes the way the scenes were written and main "eroge sin" - how characters changed during them - killed the mood for me
I played the routes in order suggested in walkthrough - Ayame, Chiho, Yuuki, Mahiru, Rinka.
After first two I thought I would rate it around 7, and Mahiru's h-scenes made it even lower, but I have to give some bonus points for Rinka and Yuuki - those two routes save this VN. It still isn't worth 8 IMO, as I feel it isn't as good as other titles I gave that score, but I think 7.5/10 will be fair.
Overally I enjoyed it, but still feel a bit disappointed...
Ah, about the translation - "dude" wasn't the best word choice ("bro" would've been better ), but the rest is decent. Engrish converted to other languages (Spanish, and - in one scene - German) also is featured just in a few scenes, so not really an issue.

So I've finished Yuki and Chiho so far and liked both.
Neither was great but both of them was quite OK. However,....
I started Mahiru... I usually have no problems with lolis but this is starting to become too much for me.
I can handle the child like appearance.
I can handle the child like voice.
I can handle to some degree the childish behavior, yet it bothered me here since there was NO indication that Mahiru would be mature enough to have a relationship. 
What I can't handle however, 
 
I only started her route because I was interested in why she broke up with MC but maybe I would be better off if someone could kindly spoil it for me....
I wish we could have gotten Maya insted of her.

Train theme interested me, so I got Maitetsu all-ages version, but haven't read it yet.
As for Matsuri in Kazoku Keikaku - h-scene occurs after some rather big timeskip, so technically she isn't loli anymore (and still her body wasn't as disturbingly childish as Mahiru's if I remember correctly)

That's what all-ages versions are for, my friend (and that's the version of Hoshimemo I'm going to play )
But I suppose, SukiSuki wouldn't work as all-ages title - it seems to me, that h-scenes are one of its main points, with story being in second place (though it obviously doesn't reach nukige levels).
 

I think that with Chiho they tried to pull a KEY on us, but didn't fully succeed Some parts about memories reminded me of Mio's route from LittleBusters. But yeah, considering how the dreams and reality were mixed up in this route, I'm also not sure what exactly happened.
If you say Yuuki and Rinka are better than Ayame and Chiho, then maybe I have something to look forward to
And, like you, I probably won't read Mahiru, or at least will have to skip thru h-scenes. She's middle-schooler age-wise (7th grade, that would make her 13), but her looks and behavior are those of grade schooler - that's too much to stomach. From what I remember from 7th and 8th grade, most girls in my class already had pretty feminine bodies.
(BTW It was me who said Mahiru is for hardcore lolicons only )
And I totally agree, that lack of Maya's and Eri's routes is grave sin. 許せない！Somebody on vndb suggested that MangaGamer should produce the FD

Just finished all routes (besides mahiru) and can say it did not disappoint, but it could have been better.
 

Don't forget to replace every instance of 仕方ない with "It can't be helped"   And mess up grammar a little, to recreate that awkward vintage translation feel
BTW I'm currently on Chiho's route. I have to agree, "dude" sounds weird, would've opted maybe for "bro" instead. That would shoot two birds with one stone - preserve her "male speech patterns" quirk, and at the same time keep "brother" reference. But I still think that in her case it should be translated.
Also, IMO leaving "sensei" untranslated sounds very awkward most of the times, but it looks like that's what patch creators are aiming for...

Well I play everything on linux so I'm used to "getting things to work" for VNs. I recently bought HdR and downloaded it because I felt guilty that I played it by sailing the high seas over a decade ago, and it's an absolute bargain. So the archive is sitting there waiting for me to see. I do recall an extremely long common route, but once you get that out of the way and save it you can go straight to each heroine's route. I think I'd only play Asumi's route through again: my first tsundere crush
Izumi from Clover Day's is my all time favourite tsundere, but I need to do something in the future to bring that project back to life for people to play it in English.

If you ask for the ones you havent played:
- Mirai from KoiIroChu!
- Saki from Yukizakura
- Nanase from One ~Kagayaku no kisetsu e~
- Yuma and Ruri from ToHeart2
all heroines from Tsujidou-san no Jun'ai road are tsunderes to some degree, but mostly Renna.

Ah yeah, I liked Asumi too, but was a little afraid to mention it, as HdR seems to be even more divisive than Chisato's route from KoiChoco

Aiess from Majikoi A2 is legendary. It's perfectly ok to skip the entire 75 hour series and go straight to her route.

Asumi from Heart de Roommate. An oldie but a goodie.

I'd like to add one tip (I think it's in the walkthrough too) - when going for next route, always start from New Game, not from save. That way there are some differences in common route, and each time you start new game after completing a route, the characters level up (start with higher stats), which somewhat changes the battles and baseball.
