"All-ages" might be a bit of a stretch (because even without H-content it probably wouldn't be suitable for kids ) , but "non-ero" certainly.

I know it's an unpopular opinion, but I feel like an all-ages version of SubaHibi would be better... A lot of h-scenes are there just for shock value, or for lolz. Though, I suddenly recalled when I was typing this, I actually liked yuri scenes at the very beginning.

Well, chapter eight is almost finished - with classic dance scene at the end of school festival

BTW - this background is exclusive to my version (In the original there was only day version of "festival-decorated" school grounds. I added sunset and evening versions.)

Quite surprising that Sol Press already opened their Steam store for this with the release date is very near (At 15th later), so I should give them some praise here. Anyway, while I did say that I'm not interested with this now that I look at it again perhaps it wasn't so bad there. That said, my word still the same though that this is the combination of Aokana (Fictional sport with detail rules), Haretaka (Four girls that could be romanced form the club alongside MC), and Konosora (Obviously the plane making). Here's the page to the Steam store, and I hope that Steam wouldn't banned this despite there's a risk of that because recently Steam being indecisive.

I'm slightly obsessed with Gabriel DropOut at the moment. It's really a good comedy and this opening catches its climate pretty much perfectly. It makes me smile like an idiot just like the anime did, especially after I read the lyrics.

Steadily moving forward... still at chapter 8, but got to the first h-scene
so it was time to implement mosaics switch:

    Works as it should.

Since it was brought up, we do consider openly talking about watching VNs uploaded to youtube with no commentary to be piracy on Fuwa. (As in, raw footage of a full VN. Stuff like trail versions etc does ofc not count.) As such, posts like that might have been hidden due to breaking the rules.

As for Flight Diary, there are some worrying news. According to MoeNovel's post on Steam, they had to delay release in order to comply with Valve's requirements

If standard MoeNovel-level censorship wasn't enough for Valve, then I wonder what will be left of this...

Mm. Sorry it's not to your taste, but she uses unique-to-her, made-up nicknames for her brother, so when she does that, we localized them. That particular line has her call him "nii-yan", for example. Translating them helps her come off as quirky in English, the way she comes off as quirky in Japanese. If it's any consolation, literally every time she uses everybody's favorite actual word, "onii-chan", it's just transliterated as "onii-chan".
Nicknames are still the weirdest hill for VN fans to die on, honestly...

As long as they don't have a very questionable heroine like Mahiru( which they don't), I am sure it'll turn out to be pretty good. The story, to me, sounds pretty interesting because I used to love rockets and spacecraft. I still do, but it really isn't my passion.

You highligted wrong part "All-ages" isn't end of the world, if done skillfully, but when translation is horrible, even h-scenes won't save it Or does it have so high amount of H that there's almost nothing left without it?

I wonder, it's hard to get reliable data at this point, with Steam Spy being dead, but I was under the impression that Dies Irae did better than Little Busters. Are sales on the level of 5-6k copies on Steam enough to justify a translation project of this scale? I guess barely, but it's not like most of these project were just attempted in a "traditional" way, just being dumped on the market with the hope they sell decently enough. They were Kickstarted, guaranteeing at minimum a return on investment (if the campaigns are handled competently). It's hard to say those companies made a huge gamble, considering they already dumped most of the investment risk on the fans (Key being a major exception I guess) and did dogshit to promote their games.
Although, maybe nothing less than the Western market being a goldmine would motivate some of them to expand. I can't say I ever got anywhere close to understanding the logic behind how some of these companies operate. For every 9tail and Key we seem to find 20 that see the West as the land of fire-breathing dragons, and only like 20% of it seems to be connected to loli and rape porn.
I would love to see someone try to quantify that (ex. by the influx of people into r/visualnovels or VN groups and curator accounts on Steam). I've noticed that the problem is at least a double-edged one - that is, people trying to get into the VN fandom after being intrigued by DDLC were treated like lepers by the community and the burning hatred for the game is just as alive in the more obnoxious parts of it to this day. Can't say I'd be encouraged by it if DDLC was my point of entry. Even more, as someone who was introduced to the niche by an EVN, it was mostly my peculiar state of mind at the time (I was unreasonably motivated to explore the niche and write about it) that made me not run for the hills after seeing how most people treat those non-JP games. Katawa Shoujo, on the other hand, was such a crystallized piece of JP VN appreciation that I've seen some people being weirded out by the realization that it's "technically an EVN". In the end, I find it quite predictable that games which rely on community marketing alone, with a community that is too good to even fraternize with the lesser breeds of weeb, won't get very far. :>

Chapter 8 is one of the longest. I'm slowly going through it, and in the meantime I prepared animated sakura petals for opening and endings.

Uuuuhhh... I guess it's partially redeemed? I'm definitely going to finish it, but it might still be stuck with a 7/10. I simply don't like the two "secondary" girls that much and it could use a bit more humour? It's cosy for sure, but I guess I'm more easily drawn in when there's something fantastical in the mix, like Aria or Flying Witch, or even the kind of grand adventure A Place Further Than The Universe offers... I lived a good life, I'll leave few regrets... :s
EDIT: BTW, I can't get over the fact that the opening song to this is called "Shiny Days". I guess most people don't have that strong connotation with the term...
I've also finished Bunny-girl Senpai and... Well, it's a definite 9/10 for me. I've read some really brutal reviews of it, but I think at least some of them are missing the point. I don't mind that the supernatural stuff is never really explained and I don't even think the "explanations" the show gives are meant to clear up anything. They're there only to steer the action towards the sources of every event and the underlying problems. I don't mind that the protagonist is a bit of a Garu Stu, he genuinely earns most of his "victories", by his compassion and relentless effort, not just by the magic of plot conveniences.
I generally have a shit taste when it goes to movies and anime, and stuff that is forcing an emotional reaction out of the viewer in cheap ways, like Elfen Lied, often got to me in the past. Still, while I can accept the criticism against such titles as legitimate, in this case I feel like people shitting on this show go way overboard, mostly because they want to dispel the notion of it being a "masterpiece". I don't think it is one either, but it was a really engaging and emotional series, and I'm glad it succeeded despite that confusing title and marketing...
