The Ramshorns snails in my tank are kinda doing poorly (meanwhile, the ones from Mum's place, that originally came from my tank, and are the same age, are doing very well).
It's some sort of Calcium deficiency.
Yesterday (and earlier today), I tried in vain to feed them Spinach leaves (damn things wouldn't sink!). Scratch that then.....
Now I'm going for egg shells (snails can graze on them for Calcium, and it won't disrupt the fish I have in there). Hopefully these will sink....
 
Future plans include buying pellets designed for Shrimps and other crustaceans (would have bought some today if the pet store wasn't closed). As well as a DIY Snail Jello recipe (I've found 2 different recipes).
 
Many people consider Ramshorns as pests. But I think they are cool pets (apparently they come in various colors)

* ef - a fairy tale of the two . Goes from love triangle drama ....... into some friggin' dark territory in the latter tale.
* Muv-Luv & Muv-Luv Alternative . Muv-Luv Extra is your typical fluffy school setting (get to know the characters, and cherish the good times while you can...). Before Muv-Luv Unlimited throws the whole cast into a war torn timeline. Still, Unlimited is mostly just more character building. Then Alternative ...... is a trainwreck that gives you all the drama, all the heartbreak, all the pain, all the PTSD (even some graphic imagery).

I've been on here for a couple weeks and just kinda forgot to introduce myself (oops). Better late than never I guess. Anyways, I live out in Ireland in the middle of nowhere. I enjoy visual novels (obviously), Batman, and most things DC related, I also have a major love of film, especially old movies, like, silent movies and such. I also love music a lot. My favorite visual novels i've read to date are probably Kana little sister, Kikokugai, Little Busters, Fate/stay Night, Euphoria and Clannad . I'm not really sure what else to say other than this community seems cool af, and I hope to get along with you all

No harem endings in Kajitsu (though harem ending becomes canon in later entries of the trilogy).
Grisaia has two spinoff series (Phantom Trigger series, and a magical idol spinoff). Neither has H scenes though.
 
What kind of moeges are you looking for exactly? There's light hearted comedic ones ( Fureraba , Wagamama High Spec , Chrono Clock , Kono Oozora ).
And on the other end of the scale, there's moeges that have a lot of plot, or Nakige elements ( Sorcery Jokers , Kira*Kira , ef - a fairy tale of the two , Muv-Luv Trilogy )
If you're into harems, there's always the Nekopara series, or Imouto Paradise series. As well as Onii-chan, where's my kiss? (when it's released).
 
I've heard Sharin no Kuni is supposed to be like Grisaia, but it isn't released yet (might be within months).

I'm not aware of any VNs about superheroes. So I'll list some "chuuni" VNs, that have a lot of action....
* Sorcery Jokers . Magic users (like a steampunk JRPG) in an urban fantasy setting.
* Idol Magical Girl Chiru Chiru Michiru . A magical girl spinoff of the Grisaia series.
* Muv-Luv Trilogy. Goes from happy and fluffy slice of life ...... to mech combat against an alien invasion. Emotional feels and trauma galore.....

Thank you, my favorite VN has to be Grisaia no Kajitsu, I love the Makina route.

Grisaia trilogy has pretty good emotional and chill music at times.
While Clannad's soundtrack might overall be average, the songs that do stand out ....... REALLY stand out! In particular, Shining in the Sky brought out the waterworks almost everytime it played in game (Roaring Tides was almost as powerful too).
Little Busters ...... easily has one of the best OSTs all around.
Minori VN's like Eden* and ef - a fairy tale of the two, tend to have really chill soundtracks.
The music in the Muv-Luv Triogy is quite nostalgic, and fits the story like a glove imo. Whether that be reminiscing in the park with your childhood friend, or fighting a very desperate war...
Kira*Kira has a unique soundtrack with instrumental rock and roll. And yet it still manages to have some solid emotional music too (cause the VN gets seriously emotional at times).
Symphonic Rain also has a unique soundtrack (which fits it's rather melancholic setting).
For pure Comedic Slice of Life VNs, Fureraba, Wagamama High and If My Heart Had Wings have pretty good soundtracks.

Did a water test beforehand, ph and other levels were perfect.
The 4 new ones are a tad smaller then the 6 I had in there already (new ones are either younger, or the 6 existing ones have grown somewhat due to being in a bigger tank with far less fish then at the pet store).
They assimilated pretty well. Until I turned the lights on....
The 6 existing fish know it's feeding time when I turn the lights on (they basically zip to the top of the water), but the 4 new fish didn't know what was happening (so they hid in a remote corner of the tank).
So I feed them more then I usually do, and eventually the 4 new fish catch on. Some of them dogfight with the existing fish, but I can't blame them, and it's harmless.
 
They've calmed down now, and their stripes are bright (if their stripes are faded, they are stressed).

This otherwise very nice girl gets a rather dominant attitude in her 2nd H scene (mostly due to sexual frustration).
She goes full blown submissive in a later scene...

If My Heart Had Wings has had a restoration patch for a while (and I havn't even played the new restoration patch which is better). I highly recommend that VN (it was my second VN).

I finished Eden* last week, and man was that a trip. Despite the length, the time spent with Sion felt genuine and precious. What stood out to me was how expressive everyone was. Even if it was basic, just having animation for the characters saying their lines made them feel more alive. I remember specifically Elica and Sion having scenes where it would show them from different perspectives, not something I've seen that often.
I swear it's the music that makes these kind of games get to you. I enjoyed the soundtrack, and would get misty eyed with a couple songs in particular. This track in particular hit hard. Sion's theme fit so well, and felt bittersweet in so many ways. It's a shame that the ost was a bit hard to find, considering the quality.
I enjoyed it overall, and recommend it to anyone interested in reading a short yet high quality end of the world love story. Just be careful with those feels though.
 
 
On another note, I've been rereading The Fruit of Grisaia from the very beginning for the second time since MangaGamer released the unrated version not too long ago.
I forgot most of what happened in the common route, and have been enjoying it my second time through. I know it's the MangaGamer version for sure since there's some scenes that caught me off guard when I read them, thinking "wait there's no way this was in the steam version lol". It's interesting to read again having completed most of the routes. Plenty of foreshadowing, and an altogether different perspective. There's been a couple times where I've turned off the in-game music, and can see that scene in a completely different light. It's all so good. I'm taking it pretty slow to let it all seep in naturally instead of rushing through it all at once like I did when I first read it.
Funny enough, I'm planning to follow the same route format I did the first time around
Yumiko > Michiru > Sachi > Amane > Makina

...... the two scenes were somewhat similar too....

I just finished reading EF. I really enjoyed it. I also thought the music and cgs were amazing! 

* Grisaia no Kajitsu. Angelic Howl, that setting and that music still haunt me somewhat. You need a strong stomach for that....
Then there was a scene in Michiru's route ...... that made me break down emotionally. First time I ever cried while playing a game, and one of the very few times I teared up from depression.
Then Sachi's good end had me tear up again (bittersweet tears this time)
Actually, Grisaia being my intro to VNs in general, the whole VN was memorable for me. And Chiru Chiru is still my favorite girl from any VN.
 
* If My Heart Had Wings. Some of those flying scenes. Also a scene towards the end of Kotori's route, had a lot of action, and vocals come on at the right time. I teared up from happiness there.
 
* Clannad. I must have teared up almost 30 times during this VN! Almost every single time Shining in the Sky played, that was instant waterworks for me (Roaring Tides was almost as powerful too).
Then ....... "that" scene, had me tossing and turning in bed afterwards....
 
* Grisaia no Rakuen. Angelic Howl Denouement. THAT WAS THE MOST BRUTAL SHIT I EVER WENT THROUGH! As if the first time wasn't bad enough.....
Funny how the rest of the VN was almost light hearted, for the most part....
 
* Planetarian. You probably knew the writing was on the wall. Then it happens. And I come to terms with it. But the scene drags out ...... then it starts playing the memories. Cue the waterworks ....... lots of waterworks.
 
* ef - a fairy tale of the two. Good grief, did this smack me in the heart, and devastate my emotions towards the end. It covers quite a few unpleasant themes.
