Well, yes, it is incredibly patronizing to tell someone how their job should be done when you have zero experience.

That much is obvious. The Kickstarter says "And friends, there will also be a Denpasoft version of the game distributed exclusively by Nutaku!". So obvious they must have negotiated something, because otherwise the VN would also be released on Denpasoft. And those kind of exclusive distribution rights normally cost money, because SP has no advantage in not putting the game also on Denpasoft. I can only guess but maybe Nutaku wants some exclusive titles to promote their envisioned Steam for adult games. I could see that happen again in the future if they are serious about their platform, but I guess those kinds of deals are difficult to make with Mangagamer and JAST because their adult stores are more core to their businesses.
Generally the idea of making a kickstarter for the sake of financing physical merchandise is a good one. There are people looking for those physical editions and goods, and this is good way to provide them without financial risk for Sekai Project. Also it's good promotion for the VN.

Yeah, like I said, pretty sure that releasing 18+ versions exclusive to Denpasoft store isn't working out too well for them (low sales), so they are trying something new this time around with Nutaku to have a bigger coverage on this title and try to see how it does from there in terms of Nutaku sales.

Nandemonai got a reaction from Silvz in Gahktun on steam - a sexy question [MINOR SPOILERS]
That does seem to be the logical conclusion, for now anyway.  I believe that was the exact same justification that Kindred Spirits used to get a 100% uncensored release.
However, decisions in this area tend to be ... inconsistent.  Two data points does not a general policy make.  Taken literally, "sex without vaginas is okay" might appear to imply that a version of (say) Imopara that cut out all the sex scenes where you can see the lady parts, would be approved.  I am, uh, highly skeptical any such thing would be approved.
In other words, it might be okay for characters in your game to enjoy a slice of pizza now and then in a story about something else.  But that doesn't mean that pizza delivery simulators are okay now, as long as they don't show the sausage holders.
(Granted, Imopara maybe not the best choice; maybe a third of the game would be left.  That's not my point

Nandemonai reacted to SpeedBeatz in Corona Blossom Vol.2: The Truth From Beyond Confirmed for 11/25/2016 Release in Japan!
    Hi!
So, we have a completely different release and marketing schedule for Japan and overseas.
The reason Vol.2 has been announced and preorders opened in Japan is that the physical release of Vol.1 was last Friday, and the promotion for Vol.2 was prepared in light of that.
We haven't started promoting Vol.2 overseas yet for a number of reasons; for example, we're still reviewing all the feedback we got about Vol.1 and figuring out how to approach Vol.2's release in light of that, also, we're going to be utilizing Indiegogo again essentially as a pre-order platform for the game (more on our reasoning for this will come when the campaign is announced), but not all of the goods, etc. have been completely prepared yet so we've held off on an opening date announcement for that (but it's coming soon!).  It has nothing to do with our relationship with or standing in the Western VN community, nor with the sales of Vol.1.
As far as the tapestry is concerned, our contract with Sofmap prevented us from being able to offer it overseas.  I'm glad you like the design, and it's unfortunate we couldn't make it more easily available, but there's literally nothing we could do about that.
I've mentioned it before, but we're certainly not affiliated in any way with anyone trying to guilt people into buying our products or anything remotely like that.  At this point the only person speaking for Frontwing outside of official social media accounts is me.  To be perfectly honest, it's a bit disheartening to me that people still think of us like the OP does, but in a way, that just means I'm not doing my job well enough, so I do apologize for that.
Lastly, (criticism of the pricing model and format of the H-scenes aside) while Corona Blossom may not be a genre-changing masterpiece, I think the reviews for Vol.1 on Steam and other sites show that at the very least the game doesn't "suck"!

    Introduction
    Hello, Fuwanovel.
I am Nandemonai.  Yes, the same Nandemonai from the PP/Jast forums, and the Mangagamer forums (back when they had forums).  A few years ago, I found out that the NI Renewal version is a thing, with improved gfx and voice acting.  Since Nocturnal Illusion is still my favorite game translated in the early years, I was interested.  I have some Japanese skills, so I thought I'd try my hand at translating the updated scenes.  This wasn't possible for two reasons.  1)  The remake breaks the scenes up into completely different file structure than the original; and 2) The original translation is just terrible.  Mostly unusable, and basically unsalvagable.  I'd known it wasn't very good, but was still surprised at just how "not good" it really was.
Long story short, I decided to re-translate the entire game from scratch.  That was in 2011.  I finished up the translation some time ago.  Unfortunately, the coders I was relying on to reinsert the translation seem to have dropped off the face of the earth.

Well, to be honest?  Right now (6/19/2016) there is no "team", there's just me.  However, I did not reach this point all by myself.
I would like to thank Kagami-sensei for generously assisting me in translating various lines that were giving me trouble.  Kagami has touched < 1% of the lines of the game, but they're all the hard lines.  Thank you very much.
I would like to thank the folks over at vilevn.org - BaSF, Fenris, and kile.  Without their assistance, this effort would have gone nowhere.  They showed me how to extract the text from the original Nocturnal Illusion.  They extracted the text from the remake (which involved finding existing tools, and then fixing bugs in them when they didn't work right).  They sadly seem to have vanished.  The last communication I had from them was in 2014, where they hoped to have a new version of vile ready "in a few months".  Thank you guys very much for all the hard work.

    Q.  Didn't you say the translation is at 100%?  Why 99%?
    A.  Yes, but there are a few minor nits that - since I'm creating this page anyway - I might as well try to crowdsource some picks for.  More details to follow when I have time to post them.
As it turns out, I was able to figure these out myself.
    Q.  What about licensing?  Doesn't Peter Payne have Nocturnal lllusion?
    A.  Indeed he does, and I approached him about an official release.  He informed me he hasn't got rights to the remake.  (I presume the original contract is somehow still good, but the remake needs rights that can't be gotten because the company hasn't existed in 15 years.  But Peter didn't say.)  Peter did say a fan patch was okay with him.

Nandemonai reacted to Darklord Rooke in What is your opinion on cheating?
With multiplayer games, instead of "cheating" I employ "strategy". For example, when seated next to a person beating me convincingly, I would yank his controller cord out of the console. The lengthy 'WHAT THE FUCK' and his subsequent scrambling granted me plenty of time to rack up an advantage. A little bit harder to do now that wireless controllers have become a thing, but a hearty overhead chop should be enough to make him drop his controller, granting you a few precious seconds to do what you will.
    ... ‘Strategy’ :3
Note: Shielding your controller and your person against retaliatory strikes is a must.

If it's a single player game then do what you want. If cheating somehow makes the game more enjoyable for you then knock yourself out. Multiplayer is a different story though, especially when it comes to competitive games. When it comes to online multiplayer I think devs should have a zero tolerance policy and perma ban on first offense.

If you're just playing the game solo at home I could care less if you use GOD MODE or whatever else. It's just you and the CPU, and the CPU has no feelings.
If you're cheating in some sort of multi-player game to get an advantage over others in PK or tournaments or whatever, then you're a dick.

Nandemonai got a reaction from Arcadeotic in Nocturnal Illusion Renewal Translation Project
    The Team
6/26/2016 Thanks to Ryechu for agreeing to be an editor!
7/10/2016 A (belated) thanks to Mad Pierre mnakamura for agreeing to do the port.
    Progress
    Translation: 100%
Editing: 50%  Let's break this out.  Initial editing pass: (by me) 100% Second pass (by Ryechu Darklord Rooke): 24.9% 71.0% Last updated:  07/04/2018
    Coding: Need Humanity (0%)
This project is now recruiting.  I need coders capable of getting the remade script inserted into something that runs on modern Windows.  Also, while I did a second pass of the translation and edited on the way, it probably needs real editors.
Update:  In the rollback, an edit to this post got lost.  Ryechu and Darklord Rooke have agreed to edit this, and Mad Pierre mnakamura has agreed to port the game to an engine he is working on.
    Misc
