I'm so happy that it's finished! I just downloaded the completed PDF, and it looks beautiful.
I haven't started reading Vol.2 yet, but I will soon! Editing Vol.1 made me a Kitsune fan.

If you haven't started Kitsune and Me yet, and you enjoy light-hearted stories with a little bit of a fantasy element to them (Kitsune being a fox-spirit) mixed with a sprinkle of yuri, now is the best time to start Vol.1!
It's been completely edited and proofread, so you should have quite the enjoyable reading experience. If there's any minor mistakes that somehow bypassed me, please let us know.
    Enjoy Kitsune and Me!

This link now has the new, completed version! (With the awesome cover made by @Forgetful Frank, who was the person who edited the book. Thanks x1000!)

One question I always had for fans of Fan-service manga/anime. Why don't you just read/watch hentai instead? I don't understand the appeal of exciting yourself, but not getting the whole thing. I feel like fan-service manga is just watered down hentai. If you want story, non fanservice titles tend to have better quality writing. And if you want to get aroused, well porn and hentai is made for that.
Regardless, DearS has a lot of fan service. So that might be up your ally.

First off, I second Highschool of the Dead, (it's pretty good, and is pretty much what you are asking for.)
Anyways, I'd say Strike Witches is pretty entertaining, especially if you also watch the anime.

The manga isn't one long run, but several small sized arcs.
The translated and licensed books in "order":
    - Maidens in the Sky 1-2
    - The sky that connects us
    - 1937 Fuso Incident 1-2
    - One winged Witches 1-2
The witches of Africa is not licensed the last time I checked.

If you want something extremely cute, Girl Friends is a great shoujo ai manga.
It does have a few fanservice scenes, though not as much as Strike Witches.

    1) Handle (the one I use or plan to use):
Forgetful Frank - FF for short (Thanks Nashetania!)

    2) Positions I can fill:
Quality Control/Proofreading- I am very confident in my English writing and proper grammar and spelling. So any work you have available that I can volunteer for that requires me to go through your written English text to ensure it is of good quality is where I will work best. I want to provide professional standard quality of writing to a good fan-translated VN project that has worked hard in translating and editing. Out of the VNs I've read so far with a fan-translated patch/restoration, I have always spotted several grammar, spelling mistakes and typos that I could have corrected if only I proof read it first. I have also noticed when reading the H-scenes, most of them seem to suffer a huge quality drop in writing when compared to the normal scenes, I aim to put in as much effort into ensuring the quality of writing is consistent across the board, H-scenes or no.

    3) Types of projects (VNs) preferred:
Practically anything that has a decent story. However I don't want to work on a VN that is primarily Yaoi, Loli or Yuri, because I don't have any interest in those genres.
I can look past all three genres if the VN only has one or two routes involving those genres. But if the VN primarily focuses on them, I'm sorry but I just won't be interested and I wouldn't be able to guarantee I would be committed to your project.

    4) Availability:
Currently too busy to join any new projects.
As of April 2016, I am apart of Arcadeotic's Euphemic Translation team as a proofreader.

    5) (VN's most interested in producing an FTL for:
Currently being new to visual novels in general, I don't really have a preferred VN that I would like to work on specifically since I'm not familiar with them enough. And honestly I don't think I ever will be, as I'll only ever read VNs in English, which means they would already have been translated. So my answer to this question is pretty much the same answer to question 3). I will be happy to work on pretty much anything minus the genres mentioned in question 3), that has a dedicated team doing their work properly and the VN you're working on has good writing and an interesting story.

    6) Motivation for joining in on FTL:
During the Steam Christmas Sales 2015, I purchased a few VNs and played them throughout all of December. At first I was disappointed when I learned that the VNs I purchased were actually cut and I wasn't receiving the proper story and experience it was intended to have. I don't really care for H-scenes, but if they're in there, I don't want them cut out, otherwise I am missing a small important part of the story. I shortly discovered fan-translations and restoration patches, which of course I tried out, and I really enjoyed them!
I have since wanted to return my gratitude to the community who helps deliver us good quality fan-translated VN's voluntarily giving up some of their free time to do so. I am very confident in my English writing ability and even though I may not be able to read/write Japanese, I really want to offer my knowledge of proper English to help deliver professional quality writing for a fan-translated VN project that is putting in the effort worthy of it. I'm so grateful to the people in this community who helps bring good quality fan-translated VN patches for free out of their hard labour of love, and I want to help return the favour. Since I've noticed several grammar and spelling mistakes as well as typos in all the fan-translated VNs I've read so far, I strongly believe I can help bring higher quality writing to any project that will have me.

    7) Conditions* (any additional conditions, under which I will or won't work):
I will only volunteer to work if everyone on the project is putting in the right effort required and that is expected for anyone who wants to deliver a good fan-translated VN. The translators have to be competent enough to translate well and actually understand Japanese to the point that they can provide good quality translations so the editor's can write good English writing that I can then ensure is properly written with correct English grammar and punctuation with no typos and sentences that actually make sense in English. I promise to put in the effort required to ensure your project has professional quality writing, if everyone else is doing their job correctly and efficiently.
I also require everyone to be friendly and treat each other with respect, and that the project leader does not act like a dictator who will not listen to reason and constructive criticism. I want to be a part of a project who works as a team, and not on the whims of one person.
I also humbly ask that you keep in mind that I currently suffer from extreme Social Anxiety Disorder which has hindered me from currently working a real job, which is the reason I have a lot more free time on my hand currently to volunteer my services to a project. This means that I will struggle to talk to people in voice chat applications, however writing via instant messaging isn't a problem at all for me and much preferred. As I get to know you I will be able to join in on voice communications in time if that is what you require, but if that is the case all I ask is a little patience at first as I get used to you and more comfortable.

    Final Words:
Thank you very much for reading about my skills, and I hope you can offer me a chance to give back to this community what it has given me after reading fan-translated VN's myself. I really want to get involved in many VN projects and help ensure your writing is of the highest possible quality before you release it.

    Dracu-Riot! Completion Project
    Project Info:
As i said in a previous post, if the Dracu-Riot scripts were released, I will translate Miu's route, and that's exactly what I'm announcing in this thread.
But I'm not alone in this crusade, I've partnered with the wonderful people at The Oxford Comma is Superior Subs so we can deliver the best possible final product and lay the Dracu-Riot memes to rest. We also got several people from the Fuwanovel community to help speed up things even more.
How is the project going to go down, you ask. Well you can read this post if you want detailed info, but the tl;dr version is that we are aiming to release multiple patches.
The first patch aims to translate the remainder of Miu's route as well as any remaining untranslated content (images, menus, etc.) with complete editing to polish the current patch.
We are going to try and release this in about 2 months, if everything goes according to plan.
The second patch is meant to be more heavily translation checked as that's when Fiddle has enough free time to go over the whole game.
There is no ETA for this second patch.
This doesn't mean the first patch will be terrible, we will of course strive for a good product, but we would still like to inform you of our schedule. If we waited for Fiddle to be completely free, it would take much more time to release Miu's route, and so we've decided to do it this way.
I hope you look forward to future updates.
    FAQ:
Why not just make a Miu partial patch, why do you want to go over the whole game?
There are actually 3 main reasons for this:
The first and biggest one is that Insem's patch only works with the physical version of Dracu-Riot! which is very hard to get in the West and we want to make a new patch that works on both the physical and digital versions of the game, this way people can purchase the digital version and patch it, thus supporting Yuzusoft. The second one is that we want to americanize the writing style as well as make sure everything is edited properly, because Insem didn't have time to finish the whole thing. The last one is translation checking. Although we don't doubt Insem's abilities, we really want to try and make sure the translation is accurate. We also want to include translation notes in the game. Only 2 months? That seems way too fast.
2 months is indeed fast, if we were translating the entire game, but we're actually only translating about 4,000 lines and we're splitting those lines between two main translators, this will hopefully make that 2 month deadline possible.
Please do note we will not jeopardize translation quality for the sake of reaching the deadline. If we can not make it in time, we will delay the release until we're satisfied with the end result.
    Will the translation have memes?
Yes, but only the dankest ones.
Why aren't The Oxford Comma people making the announcement here?
So I can get those sweet, sweet internet points.
    I want to help!
Contact @Fiddle and beat him in a pipe bag showdown (plaid skirt is mandatory).

Forgetful Frank reacted to Caio000 in Konichiwa~
I think it's a bit late for to post this here as I already posted two times in this forum but whatever. Hi, I am Caio000, I am mostly a lurker who sometimes feel a urge to post something and so I decided to introduce myself here just to say hi however this will be a long post, when I decide to talk about myself I tend to talk a lot so I apologize in advance if this post is too long.

I am somewhat of a antisocial who feels lonely easily, as you can see from my profile I live in Brazil but not the Brazil I wanted to live in but this doesn't matter here, my interests are mainly anime, light novels, games (especially JRPGs), visual novels, family trees (especially the messed up ones, the more messed up the better) and history (please ignore the fact the last two has nothing to do with the others). My tastes are varied and I can pretty much read anything that has at least a nice story although I love good and awesome stories my standards are somewhat low and a have a liking for harem stories (I know, it's a trash liking) since I read Koihime before that I was indifferent at best.

My interest in the 2D world goes back to my childhood, even though I didn't know what anime back was then I liked them better than others cartoon and was because of anime I became interested in visual novels. I discovered visual novels because of my cousin, when I was younger and didn't have a computer I always watched my cousin play games in his computer, there was time he played True Love which interested me (by the way, I was quite surprised when he reached a h-scene and I became so nervous I left the room).

Years later when I had a computer I remembered about True Love (VNDB) and decided to play it myself, after search it in internet I discovered visual novels I became immensely interested in them. I guess my first visual novels after this was Narcissu which I read in 2012 or 2013, it was translated in Portuguese but I eventually became frustrated with the lack of visual novels translated to Portuguese and decided to learn English reading visual novels translated to English and taking my English lessons in school seriously (I become one of the best in English of my class). Since then I read many visual novels however I started paying for them relatively recently when Sekai Project started publishing them in Steam (moenovel doesn't count) because of the regional pricing and because I finally realized how wrong piracy is (piracy is too much common in my country), I plan in future pay for the visual novels I pirated.

The only visual novels I played untranslated were 0verflow’s visual novels because I had to know all about this family tree no matter what even though what I knew of Japanese was the little I learned in some video classes I downloaded (I dropped it in the third or fourth class), in the beginning I used mostly machine translation but eventually I used only JParser to translate word per word, I was a bit surprised the much of Japanese I learned using it. Currently I am doing an actual course of Japanese to stop being a peasant who only reads visual novels in English and became one of these elusive elite who talks about Dies irae, Muramasa, Sakura no Uta and such(though when I learn enough Japanese I am more likely to drown myself in moeges than anything else).

In this forum I am usually lurking around the Visual Novel Talk reading people comments on news, principally if it's news that'll make people salty. It's quite entertaining (I am actually trying to forget I am a bit salty too).

I guess that's it... Maybe this post is a "little" too big. Is it okay post something this big here? I apologize again for it. Anyway, although I probably won't post frequently here よろしくお願いします。

Forgetful Frank reacted to Aizen-Sama in Better late than never, right? (Introducing myself)
Hi guys! After some posts and wandering around this forum both in threads and chat, I think it's time to introduce myself to everyone, since I actually never did to begin with. I remember my first post being a shitty question about starting a fan translation project, even though I don't know japanese (typical noob post, lol). That post encouraged me to learn japanese though (I'm taking classes right now).
Well, I go for the pseudonym of Aizen pretty much everywhere I go, since I'm a hopeless fanboy of his ever since I watched Bleach's Karakura Arc. Bleach was in fact the first anime I ever saw (which was actually only a year ago) and since then it's my favorite of all times. I discovered anime around a year ago, and ever since then I've been hooked to every genre available (yes, I find interesting genres like otome and yaoi too). The first time I knew about visual novels was while watching Seitokai no Ichizon, when the protagonist was playing a bishōjo game in one of the scenes. I though those kinds of games only existed in anime, but after a little research I found out that they were very real, and that there were hundreds, maybe even thousands of them. My first visual novel was A Profile (which I actually absolutely despise now), and from there I tried other titles (most of them are pretty famous; Katawa Shoujo, Majikoi, Grisaia no Kajitsu,Noble Works and Kara no Shoujo for example). The first time I became interested in translations was while I was playing throughout the Noble Works game. I knew it was translated, but what I didn't know was that the translation was done by fans, and let me tell you that I thought that the work they did with the game was incredible. I looked for the group responsible for the translation (which is The Oxford Comma is Superior subs) and I was impressed by their dedication and effort that they put into the project (I actually look up to them). Seeing this amount of dedication made me want to contribute to the community too, and it has made me want to learn to become a better writer, to improve my english, as well as learning how to extracting game's texts (I still find it pretty difficult but I'll sort it out little by little) and learn how to design websites (Oxford Comma Subs' website looks sick in my opinion ).
Summing up; I hope I can become a known contributor to the community in the future, that the team I'm currently setting up (Luna Translations) someday achieves the godly level of The Oxford Comma is Superior Subs , and I'd like to inmerse myself in this community as much as I can (pretty much being up to date with the Visual Novel Translation Scene, involving big companies like Sekai Project and fan translation teams like Rinjibou Translations for example).
Finally, I just want to thank everyone in this community. People here are very friendly, and even though I'm a little bit of an airhead sometimes I hope we can all get along well. I'll end up with Aizen's Shikai release, which is badass: Kudakero, Kyōka Suigetsu.

    Hello~
I've probably been aware of Fuwanovel since 2013, and for the last year or so, have exclusively used the site for walkthroughs, VNTL information, and perhaps reading a few of the blog posts (ever since vntls.org stopped updating once upon a time). I'm a fairly introverted (INTP-A, for those familiar with that type of thing) 25 year old. Being exposed to Visual Novels has been an interesting journey, i must say. In a gaming lul, i decided to pick up Katawa Shoujo on a whim sometime in late summer 2012, and i was blown away on how much such a thing could actually immerse me (I didn't sleep that first night, and managed to read most of the VN in one day). At the time, i had barely any knowledge of what a VN was, as most was heard second hand on various discussion boards, and the little i thought i knew was pretty unflattering (I assumed most VNs were Nukige-like, and had little story/character substance). That opened me up to trying out Fate/Stay Night, Steins;Gate, Ever17, Muv-Luv + Alternative, and a plethora of others that i grew to enjoy. Coincidently enough, between highschool and katawa shoujo, i hadn't really watched much anime, and going through Katawa shoujo actually rekindled my interest in that medium as well, haha.
I've probably read enough to where i'd have a hard time making a top 5, but If i had to choose a top 5 (in no particular order), they would be the following:
Cross†Channel Ef - A fairy tale of the two. Ever17 -the Out of Infinity- Muv Luv + Alternative (Specifically Alternative) Steins;Gate Some honorable mentions would be Rewrite, Majikoi, Grisaia, Fate/Stay Night, and Sharin no Kuni

But yeah, Making topics aren't my strong point, so hopefully this serves as some kind of bare-bones introduction. If there is anything anyone wants to know, feel free to ask and i'll try to answer it to the best of my ability.

Character 1 is a yearly event, but yeah think of it as another convention. As for Yoshitsune, do I even need to answer xD
Oh I forgot to answer your other question. If you mean the Kazuko shirt from eg-tops, then yes. I am
"In this one" do you mean A-1? If so, it's Azumi, Sayaka, and Benkei. You should already know Azumi. Sayaka does not appear at all until this A-1, but Benkei does appear to the sequel (Majikoi S). A lot of new characters are introduced in Majikoi S though.
As for the A Series, the only new one would be Cookie 4 IS. There's a lot of sub heroines that are brand new in the A series such as Bushou, all of Margit's underlings, and more.
The main Heroines in Majikoi S would be: Margit, Kokoro, Tsubame, Monshiro, and Koyuki

Forgetful Frank reacted to Nosebleed in What Anime are you watching now?
It gets much worse. Things start getting complicated after certain characters are introduced and some of the main characters are in risk of dying right now, it's really uncertain what's about to happen.
One thing the anime left out though was this scene in the school where people from the outside actually pass by. I'm not sure why they didn't put it in, but it was quite important to the grand scheme of things and it's also the reason why the school burned down, The anime had a somewhat original ending in that regard.
Several scenes were changed as well. Mii-kun is not with the girls from the start in the manga, for example, and they tell her story in flashback format as opposed to the manga where it's an actual arc. Mii-kun's story is also missing scenes, namely several moments in the mall where the people got trapped in, Mii-kun was in a larger group that eventually all turned into zombies, but they didn't show that in the anime.
The anime's violent scenes are also quite toned down. The manga isn't very gorey either but it shows more of the unsettling details.
Well, all I can say is you should read it, it doesn't take very long to catch up and there's lots of new things.

That's wonderful news! Congrats to everyone on the team.
I only just found out about this project, I love the art-style and its quality and the premise sounds pretty interesting. I'll be sure to check out the demo later.
Unfortunately I won't be able to support the Kickstarter before it ends, but I'm definitely picking this game up once it's released. Keep up the good work everyone on the team!

I enjoyed playing Bastion, although regrettably I haven't had the pleasure in playing Transistor yet. I do plan to when I have the time, and finish other games I'm in the middle of playing.
Pyre looks beautiful, I really enjoy the style of their games.
