Sure, but let's say I'm rating something. I'll go by Aselia. 
Some events feel forced, and, as expected of an old game, the art is bad and the voice-acting can range from meh to pretty bad. The OST is mostly ok and the gameplay is nice at times and tiring at others, and for a VN with that many routes it can get pretty frustrating if you plan on playing it more than once. 
Still, I gave Aselia a 9.5 out of 10. Normally, I would rate any game with those qualities as lower than that. My judgment is most likely biased because I really liked certain aspects of the story, but it probably isn't deserving of that rating. 

Writing doesn't matter as long as the game is cute  
On a more serious note I believe that voice acting is good getting character's emotions and personality through on charages. More writing heavy VNs could do without voice acting but narrative/protagonist's thoughts are almost never voiced right? Narrative/protagonist's thoughts are more important in telling a heavy story than some characters' lines, right? So there should be a lot more actual text describing shit than characters talking? Also I believe that people appreciate the voice acting in chuuniges. Who the hell would understand what they are saying without voice acting?  
Just some random thoughts. Feel free to ignore it if it doesn't make sense. 

I want to see an English team work on something completely new from popular companies (i.e. = Irotoridori, not HNM). Moege drives the VN market in Japan as of the past 4-5 years, and Princess E. is a step in the right direction, but in all honesty is the only high quality, length driven moege that has ever been released from all 3 major localization companies since they started. Even if you don't like the genre, seeing games from AAA companies in the VN industry that already had fan translation associated with them bothers me.
People always say how the English teams get rights to certain AAA companies games (i.e. = Favorite, Front Wing), but do you ever see them translating something new when that happens? Nope.

i dunno. i know she dislikes sad endings and she was pretty scared with gakkou gurashi. also she looks me with a strange look everytime an ecchi scene pops out in shokugeki no souma

i want vns, but most vns are eroge, so... i have to explain to her porn is just a tiny fraction of eroge and they are just like animu besides that. also, lb is a good one, but id prefer something more common cuz then she might have the wrong impression about eroge, that most of them are nakige... but if i dont get anything else decent, then ill go with lb.

Why that Kylo Ren had the mask, anyway? I did not get it. Also his nose... And rabbit ears... Who had such a nose and ear? Han or Leia? Seems no one had.
And yes, story is too much similar to Episode IV. It was in 1977 and was better.
The worst is the actors here. The only one main character who really acted was guess who? Harrison Ford. What the hell, man. Why grand-dad have to bring whole film on his shoulders, what the rest of the cast were doing? Rei is the new Luke? Really? With same dumbface she had whole film. Same for that stormtrooper. Only other guy I enjoyed watching was the Death Star commander or whoever he was, that stubborn red-haired guy. This one could act, especially comparing to that emokid Vader replacement.
