Just of the routes I mentioned as one is considered incest and if Mare's physical looks reflect her age, it could be considered pedophilia, but that's just my perspective. Well, yeah you're right. Brother x sister I can kind of tolerate by just not paying attention to it, though if the incest route is the 'true' route that's a deal-breaker. Also age matters. Getting with your little sister who is like a year younger than you? Ehhhh sure I guess as long as it's not the true route. Getting with your LITTLE little sister? Nnnnah dude. I always like vns that break stigmas, but games like Hoshimemo just use the little sister trope as pandering, not to address anything related to the issues of incest, so it's not exactly "breaking the taboo" in any way, it's just a little sister route and that's that, and there's plenty more that do the same thing. You'll struggle to find good vns that actually property address this topic. OreImo is no exception since They turned the characters into cousins to make the game legal. And regarding Oreimo, that anime ending pissed me off like no other anime has to this day. And what they did with the VN was well... not the ending we needed, not the ending we wanted, but in the end... it's the ending we got and it's better than nothing. I'm hoping that Yosuga no Sora takes it seriously, but if it was as serious as the shoddy anime adaptation, then meh. It's kinda treated seriously, but I don't think it was as agonizing for the characters as in Koi Kaze, since well, Sora seems to want to get in Haruka's pants since they were kids. Just thinking about that VN makes my blood boil, I'm not a fan of Romeo Tanaka. I'm hoping that Yosuga no Sora takes it seriously, but if it was as serious as the shoddy anime adaptation, then meh. Koi Kaze is a great example of handling the subject well, except for the ending. the mc is tormented by the thought that he is in love with his little sister and doesnt want to be. Orimo is an example of poorly handling it. through out the first season of the anime i thought it would focus on two siblings who used to be close to each other but drifted apart for some reason, then start to work on their relationship by helping each other and grow closer. THAN season 2 came around and turned it into a harem. forcing all the female characters to all of a sudden like kyousuke. the most annoying arc in the anime was the one with kirino's dark haired friend. she seemed to hate kyousuke, then at the beginning of a certain episode in season 2, they give this horrible recap of events that weve never seen and all of a sudden shes calling him nee-san. i had to go back to the previous episode because i was so confused by this. ABORT! ABORT! gotta get of the oreimo topic before i get completely sucked in. XD As for Aki Sora, I think I read it until halfway, then it became too much about the sex for me to continue it (nothing wrong with that, just not what I was looking for). And let's see... "Brother/Sister Romance"; "Incest Romance";"Blood-Related Sister Heroine";"Imouto-Type Heroine" Characters: Minagami Sakuya: "Younger sister of the protagonist (...)". Though there's some other decent candidates like Boku wa Imouto Koi Suru the manga (not that shitty OVA) or Aki Sora which despite the amount of sexual content actually does address the incest theme a bit, especially with the ending. Suzu Fanatic Posted April 19, 2015 Share Posted April 19, 2015 I like the idea of wincest in a VN, (like others, I tend to prefer the "safe" zone of two siblings close to the same age and not too young) aka Yosuga no sora (or to a much less obvious extent, Kanon (cousins) ). Not just for the obvious kink of it (there is that appeal, sure) - but I like it when/if they explore the social and moral dillemma involved in such a relationship. Making it the main route/focus would make for a great read imo. To see if/how the two overcome the stigma and the world's resentment. Can they find happiness and say "screw what others think."? Or will they walk separate paths, realizing it's too hard a journey? That's why I am so disappointed with a lot of VNs that have the incest tag, they just treat it like fluff and take it for granted. Everyone is happy-go-lucky with no repercussions or concerns. =/ Mind you, those ones tend to exist solely for the sake of porn and not much else, heh...
