yeah,they will be doing the same thing as Moenovel did with "If My Heart Had Wings" and removing the h-scenes on their patches.

I don't mind it that much,but they are just a fan-translation group,why being so concerned to have a "clean" image?Maybe they just REALLY hate to translate porn.Anyway,I'm posting this in case somebody here is interested to translate and restore the content when Lemnisca release their patches in a distant future.

It's a shame they're treating us like babies and making the decision for us. If they're not into the H scenes they could just release two versions to accommodate both markets with a clean and an explicit version.

 

For possible legal reasons I can understand the loli stuff, but other than that I don't get it.

1) another projects? what about Before Crime, Code18, 12Riven and stuff like this? We'll see them in 10 years or so? Please take moar projects. I like when people plan their sheldue ahead for decades.

2) not including 18+, lol, I always thought of Blick as a retard, but now I have no respect for Lemnisca as a whole.

Mmm... the h-scenes in those games show off the desperation of the characters and are part of the story integrally... To be honest, I have negative feelings about this.  I'd prefer if they did it like Amaterasu did it with Cross Channel, where they gave  you a choice.

That said, while we are removing the H-Scenes/ero content itself, we will not remove the references in-game to the ero content either. As for Secret Game: Killer Queen and Rebellions, the H-Content was added solely for the PC versions of the game as opposed to the non-ero original PS2 and PSP versions (respectively), and they are completely unnecessary in the game itself as they are not integrated into the story for any reason. As a result, we will be removing the H-Scenes from these versions to keep them more in-line with the original 17+ versions.

 

 

Personally I am fine with them not adding the ero scenes. Though mostly ero does add something regardless to the game. So removing them makes me kinda, "That's too bad".

Ideally having a choice of the patch they would be best imo. But considering they don't want to mess with the loli issue. Which is understandble, considering the "dangers" of possessing such material they in some countries.

Or they just don't want to translate "porn", either way their beef not mine.

 

In the end if many people really thinks the h-scenes are that important. They will prbly TL them after Lemnisca is done translating as shcboomer said.

I have no problem whatsoever with them removing the H-scenes; the games look interesting enough and I'd rather have them translated with some compromises than not have them at all. Hell, in some cases it's better to not have porn scenes at all (looking at you Aselia).

 

Also, pretty understandable if their real names can be somewhat traced back from their translations, no one wants to have HR going after you.

I only play eroges if there's a non-ero patch for it avaliable. So unless it's a non-eroge version of the game, I won't work with it.

I wish Regista will make Route Double port and will and H to it. I'd like to see GA's reaction then.

I am not likely to read this one but honestly the concept of censorship really tick me off for some reason. If you don't want to translate or play H-scenes what the hell are you doing picking up an eroge? Is there seriously nothing else you could have read? Also i just hate people messing with the originals. If it was made like that it is because the author wanted it that way. You are free not to like it but don't go around changing it.

You're forgetting that in most cases they are translating it for other people, not for themselves. Unless they have something to gain from it. And yes, people are entitled to get fan translation, why wouldn't they? If you don't think so, why you do TL? If you do it for yourself - usually you do it quietly and make sure it doesn't leaves your harddrive. And especially you're not doing all these secret projects with pseudonyms to fool other people so that they'll see translation is going and won't start new project.

Edit: but personally I'm okay with that. I'm sad not because of the fact of "doing the way they want" but because of GA being retard.

Translator of course have a freedom to do things in the way he wants, but there are some limits to that. Passing these limits and making people dislike your work defeats the purpose of making something for them to begin with. Of course I don't think that this H stuff is that of a big deal, and not that much people will dislike it, but hopefully at least now you'll understand.
And if you release something to the public, you agree that people are entitled to get it. And nothing strange if they may not like it if you did it wrong.
Edit: More extreme example that fits my definition above probably machine translations. Same thing. You do it for people but you do it wrong. Better don't do it at all.

I understand that sentiment and I am wholly against censorship, but its not like you're unable to play the original works anymore. Additionally on the topic of censorship, I know there's some heated contention when it comes to altering the original artist(s) vision and its a very muddy topic. I personally feel that people should be able to alter a work anyway they feel like once they own a copy of whatever.

 

Ultimately,  it's their prerogative since they're the one putting forth the effort to translate it. Likewise, we also have the right not to read or even (respectfully) let them know how we feel about the direction of their projects.

I think you guys misunderstand me. I am not hating on the guys that translated this. I simply think that it is weird to go out of your way to do something related to something you don't like. If you want to translate but don't like H why are you translating Eroge? That is all I mean.

Last but not least. Just because you can't do better does not mean that you can't see when something sucks. I can't sing but I know good music when I hear it. And I know that lyrics are not supposed to sound like you are skinning a cat. Even if that is what I sound like....

While I admit things got out of control in terms of people's reactions, it wasn't just the ero scene removal people were upset about. From what I hear story segments were also cut and MN went so far as to cut kissing scenes; bit of an odd choice to do to a romance story.
