Hey guys. Remember me? Well I killed Black Sands about 5 months ago due to production costs being too high but I shifted my efforts to a much more cost efficient comic series in the same universe.
I wanted to share with you my personal story because I feel it is a very interesting perspective from an EVN developer.
 
The PAST
I worked on Black Sands, Legends of Kemet for a little over a year.. I had updated my project page here close to 50 times and I had this very unusual story. In 2015 I launched my first kickstarter and failed miserably. Most people when they fail, they blame others for not reading their story and getting immersed. 
I didn't believe this at all. 
I felt I failed because my art was subpar and thus people never got the chance to read my story. I then recruited an amazing artist by the name of hydriss to create my VN. We worked for a year to get it ready for a kickstarter relaunch and overhauled the story to be more engaging.
We had success finding major investors but they never had time for our production so after waiting months for a cash injection, we cut ties. We were then 10k in the hole.
I killed production of Black Sands then and there and decided to do a much easier comic book series that was targeted at kids and their parents who were fans of DBZ and what not.
I named it Kids 2 Kings. Not because it was a good name, but because it was a memorable name. It's really hard to forget.
 
We created our first issue and released it on the madefire app and had great reviews. We then launched our kickstarter, which is in its last days now.
The funny thing is we recently made a trailer for kids 2 kings and it went viral and facebook and twitter.
Now sitting at 190 retweets and 235k views on facebook, Kids 2 Kings, is becoming my dream come true.
Now it is extremely unusual for people to completely turn around and do something else but it is a very UNIQUE experience that you might want to learn more about so I AM OPEN FOR ANY AND ALL QUESTIONS.
BTW, thanks Fuwa for keeping me motivated all these years when i was developing black sands. I couldn't have gotten to this point without you guys.

Sorry, did I say Nier Automata is 'pretty good'? 
I meant it's FKING AWESOME
Granted Routes A and B are pretty standard stuff overall
But man do they really hype things up with the beginning of C
That's gotta be one of the most fun 'shit goes from bad, to worse, to FK EVERYTHING' chain of events to get to play through and it ends so beautifully with the last stand segments where you're just like C'MONNNNN but you inevitably have to accept reality and then commence crying buckets

I've been playing Atelier Firis non-stop for the past week.
It's honestly great: basically everything I liked about Sophie, and then some. The best part is how it makes the experience of traveling across the world feel like such an impressive journey. The plot gives you a one-month deadline for the "tutorial" section of the game, which is trivial and whatever, and then a one-year deadline for the first real major goal. I'm probably 20 hours into the game now, I've expended 200 days of my year, and I've basically just been traveling across the world map the whole time (okay, fine, and stopping to do a whole lot of synthesizing along the way, which is actually where a lot of that time went). At any rate, the game world feels absolutely huge, which is a feeling I've been craving from a JRPG for quite a while.
Edit: oops, meant to say "everything I liked about Ayesha", not "Sophie". I never played Sophie. I'm so sorry, Ayesha!

Hell yes, NieR:Automata is the best game I've played in a while.
Not only is it fun game on it's own to just play, but it's also really deep with it's story themes and actually utilizes the fact that it's a game to it's fullest potential. The amount of topic it touches is unbelievable and it gets better the deeper you dive in to it. At first I thought the writing was bit shallow, not bad but still. But in retrospect everything starts to fit together and you start to appreciate the minimalism, you could say, in context. I should play Automata again from the start and see how much more I can get out of it now, but at the same time I kinda don't, as I feel like I'm betraying myself in some extent towards the game.
Not going to explain more because of spoilers!, but Automata is fantastic at making messages through it's mechanics. And as it touches so many themes (like really, I've heard people saying that NieR:Automata is game about everything in life, and it's not necessarily wrong) there's bound to one that touches you on a personal level, or you find something about yourself. I know I did, and I wish I could talk more about, but... Maybe later. NieR:Automata is the kind of game that, if it really clicks with you it won't leave your mind and you just keep constantly thinking about it.
And yeah, the music is fantastic. I might have been mashing F5 on iTunes impatiently waiting for the release of the Original Soundtrack.

NieR:Automata's pretty cool. It has some REALLY fluid action rpg hack n' slash gameplay, very satisfying (minus some of the arcade space shooter parts, I suck at those). You play as 2B, a stoic sexy & badass female YoRHa (android) in a post-apocalypticish machines-took-over-the-Earth-and-humanity-was-forced-to-the-moon scenario. 
One of the best things about NieR:Automata is its soundtrack, just yummy phenomenemities everywhere yo. When you get a track like this for a bossfight it's like yeeeeeeee
Play it when you can.

Root Letter

Summary
"If fate allows it, I wish to one day be able to meet you, Max."
Takayuki, 32, is casually cleaning his room when he discovers an ominous letter. The sender? His pen pal Aya Fumino whom he exchanged letters with during his high school days 15 years ago. Filled to the brim with nostalgia and curious as to why Aya would have written such a letter and how it mysteriously appeared, he makes his way to Matsue, Shimane Prefecture, in search of his long lost companion.
Ending Guideline / Suggested Route Order
There are 5 endings: Crossing Paths, Cursed Letter, Princess of Himegamori Forest, A Government Plot, and The Bond of Marriage.
A Government Plot and The Bond of Marriage are unlocked upon getting your first ending. I would recommend going Crossing Paths -> Cursed Letter -> Princess of Himegamori Forest -> A Government Plot -> The Bond of Marriage.
Route Guideline
All of the routes / ends are based on your P.S. replies to Aya's letters at the beginning of each Chapter. Upon getting your first ending, you can use your Smartphone's SKIP function to jump to the beginning of the next Chapter. Sadly, you cannot skip Chapter 8 and have to play through it when trying to get into routes.

Summary

The story begins with Mutsura Yuuto accompanying his friend on a holiday to Aqua Eden, an artificial island city paradise where anything is possible. However, his holiday plans are laid to waste when a girl he meets gets kidnapped. Trying his best to rescue the girl, Yuuto himself unfortunately gets captured as well. The city's Disciplinary Committee luckily arrive to save the day, but not before the unthinkable happens: the kidnapper is revealed to be a vampire and transforms Yuuto into one too!
Feeling guilty about the incident, the kidnapped girl Yarai Miu (who also is a vampire) decides to take Yuuto under her wing. As a vampire, Yuuto can no longer leave Aqua Eden; forced to abandon his previous life and with nowhere else to go, he takes up Miu's offer and decides to enroll in a special school for vampires on the island - and thus, his new night life begins!

Even though I'm supposed to be the uh, JP expert in the fam fam, I just went to watch the new SAO: Ordinal Scale movie with my sister because she was like Oh yeah wanna go?!

Big SAO fan here btw. The movie's a solid 7, maybe 8 outta 10. Whereas Sword Art Online focused on VR where you made virtual into reality; by the time of Ordinal Scale their society is hopping on the AR (augmented reality) hype train and making reality into virtual- the movie spends a good introductory chunk showing a nonenthusiastic Kirito n' Friends live their daily lives decked out with 'Augmas' and legit going here and there in the real world to participate in boss battle events Pokemon-GO style. Luckily though the movie isn't all Kirito n' Friends and Silica karaoke-ing, there's actually a pretty decent plot here that will cleverly link back to the good ol' Aincrad days. There'll be a bit of annoying e-peen slap fests going on throughout from the new poster baddie, but overall the motivations behind and the inevitable resolution with these new characters was quite impactful. Let us not forget the nameless~
Action scenes were good, it's hilarious watching Silica stab a boss mob with her dagger and hearing the distinct "KLANG"you-obviously-did-0-damage, Or Liz actively tanking. On a more highlighty note you'll also get to see #1 sniper Sinon in action, The Eclipse, and Mother's Rosario. Those were some really hyphey moments mang.
Kirito is useless for 75% of the movie, he was the king of VR but when it comes to the real world and AR he has no interest and you'll laugh as he valiantly dashes towards the first boss and gets pwnt because of lag being physically unconditioned. He'll naturally work his way up though when shit gets real. Meanwhile Asuna's useless for 90% of the movie, while in the beginning she's very enthusiastic about Ordinal Scale's boss fights she'll unfortunately get plot-damseled-in-distressed until the endgame where she finally makes her triumphant return. Naturally, there'll some yummy romance between the two.
Overall pretty enjoyable.
Oh, and keep and eye out for Rath in the future~

And yes I know you work as an engineer and it's a fairly different field, but none of the fields we're raising are similar to 'store supervisor' in any case xD
You also tend to get less leeway when you're just employed or promoted

Lastly Rewrite S2 anime has been the only weeberz stuff I've been keeping up with, in general I feel I may be transitioning outta this phase... Good riddance rite </3

Prewar-era Japan. Deep in the snowy mountains of northwestern Japan there exists a settlement called Hitogata, the Village of Dolls. On the night of the festival honoring the clay idol Hinna-sama, a girl is murdered. The villagers all blame Hinna-sama's curse. One outside the faith has joined in the festival of Hinna-sama, and brought the painful death of the curse down upon themself.

October, 1957. Two years have passed since Kuchiki Touko's abduction from her hospital room. Tokisaka Reiji's younger sister saves a man who had tried to commit suicide. He, too, is the most recent victim of "Hinna-sama's curse". Reiji begins his investigation, clinging desperately to the hope that Touko can be saved, and at the same time, a strange religious group said to have dissolved six years ago begins to move again to put a certain plan into motion...

The curse will be carried out, whether by the gods or by human hands.
 
Ending Guideline / Suggested Route Order
Kara no Shoujo: The Second Episode is a linear story with eleven endings. There are no individual heroine routes.
There are seven gameover endings, four endings, and one true end. You have access to all gameover ends, but only one ending on your first playthrough. The other three endings and true ending can only be accessed upon getting this ending and starting your second+ playthrough. You also need to get Bad End #2 "To Search for Toko" to get True and Obsession Ends.

There was alotta politics and delays over the past 2 months regarding my promotes but I now finally get to tell people that I is da sooper vizors now instead of just some random grunt counting shiz at dem stores, hah!
Meanwhile I cant believe how fast time is flying, been so busy, and it feels like I haven't participated in this place for a while now
And I just remembered that I completely forgot about reading Fata Morgana. I remember finishing the First Door and getting hyped and posting in VN Talk, then

Rewrite S2, yes yes the CGI monsters are terra-bad and all them non-VNers are getting totally shrekt on wtf is going on, but any1 who's read Moon route should've climaxed 9000x at the adaptation's version of it, seeing all the heroines' final moments in Moon along with the flashback snippets of their individual route CGs just gave me the biggest nostalgia boner ever.
