    I think some people here are getting a bit carried away.  Don't take advantage of Nao's naivety to pitch your own private projects that won't be useful to FruitsJam commercially. o.O;

    When you become friends with someone on Fuwanovel, your accounts become linked with an invisible "affection bar," which increases based on your interaction with them. There are also various quests you can do to increase your affection. The affection gauge starts at level 0, but once you gather enough points to max it out, you can increase your affection levels. I still have to play around to test what sorts of effects each level grants you, but this is what I have discovered so far:

    - When your affection with another member is at level 2, the success rate of favors increases by 60%.
    - When your affection with another member is at level 3, you gain a skill point, which you can allocate towards one of two skills: "Add Skype [Passive]," "Game Together [Active, 80 mana],"
    - When your affection with another member is at level 8, you unlock the ability to ask for sexual favors (still testing this)

    There is another functionality that revolves around the affection bar. If you and a group of other people all share a high affection mutually, then you can form a party and participate in what is known to be "circlejerking." However, be warned! Circlejerking has a chance to decrease your affection with members who are not a member of your party. If you are looking to try to maximize your affection levels with a certain member, then I advise you to include him or her in your circlejerk adventures.

    I prefer voices. But if it's a great vn, I am okay with no voices.

    Homaru reacted to Nosebleed in Shower Thoughts on Character Archetypes
    I always thought of archtypes as ways to make characters more expressive, even if that expressiveness is usually exaggerated, but that to me has always been part of fiction (fiction ≠ reality) so I never found it weird and more often than not I find it charming. I never thought of it as something defining.

    I guess it boils down to how you relate to the characters, in your case you prefer relating to more realistic character personalities (or just personality traits in general), and that's fine, but when I'm reading a story for example I always put myself in the prespective of a narrator of sorts, I don't try to put myself in the place of any of the characters and so I don't find it easy or difficult to emphasize with them due to their personalities, I'm just an outsider looking at the events unfold, I don't imagine myself as a friend in their group or as the protagonist or whatever, and I also don't judge how likely it would be for those characters to end up together in real life since i'm reading a fictional story (a good story would explain why they got together too). More often than not I find myself attracted by a character's actions and/or backstory rather than their personality alone and I definitely hardly ever relate to something as superficial as an archtype (personality ≠ archtype)

    There is an issue with how certain characters end up being defined solely by their archtype, and I can't help but agree on that front, but those characters that are solely based around an archtype usually aren't exactly the most well written, the good ones have a backstory and have relevance to the plot other than being that archtype alone.

    So I guess you could say for me archtypes exist for the sole purpose of expressing (more vividly) particular personality traits that are much more toned down in real life.
    Also if you start putting things in your head like "this character is a tsundere/kuudere/etc" it'll become much harder to like characters because you'll start judging all of them based on that criteria and that to me is unfair. I just judge a character by how they progress and forget about things like archtypes and the sort, because an archtype doesn't define a character alone and if it does then that character was not written properly.
    A story with perfectly realistic characters (personality wise and setting wise) sounds like it'd be pretty average and boring in my opinion, and this is coming from someone who loves slice of life.

    So you feel that SAO has no flaws? Well lets start of with the relationship of Kirito and asuna. To me it felt like the romance was written by a teenage girl guessing how romances work. Guy meets girl, they kind know each other, spend some time together, she acts like she doesn't like him (BULLSHIT). She cooks for him, she suddenly likes him, they spend a few more days together, and then they decide to get married. The whole thing was just handled so lazily and developed a ridiculously unnatural pace,leaving Asuna as nothing more than just a plot device by the end.

    The characters of this show have enough individual problems to fill a Britannic Encyclopedia set. In all seriousness after watching all 25 episodes of following Kirito is that hes some badass because he wears black clothes and is really good at videogames, spends most of his time trying to be the lone antihero. He's the ultimate wish fulfillment character since he is stupidly overpowered for unexplained reasons. Asuna for all the potential she showed in her badass introduction, just turns out to be a generic Tsundere and doesn't develop any deeper than that.
