seriously though i do it alot. sometimes i need a break from a vn and go to another i previously started, or i go onto another route if i need a little break from it.

.....(raises hand) dont look at me like that! it was cumming of age story, about a young girl trying to find acceptance in a bitter and cynical world, where her fetish was shunned by society. then she finds a group of people willing to accept her (actually, more like she accepts them) in their own little world full of happiness.

im in the mood to romance a girl with glasses in a vn. the last one i played had a great design for a girl with glasses but it turned out the vn was an NTR. (Shivers) i would like it to have a school setting with the character being moe and is just lovey dovey. got any recommendations?

That was great! It honestly took me less than an half an hour to read because I was so immersed. Great job! If Key made an after story for every heroine I would be so glad to fork over a couple bucks to just read it. This was unexpected, and it gave me goosebumps. That ending though... It exceeded my expectations, thats for sure. Thanks for this! Kyou was one of my favorite heroines throughout Clannad and I was disappointed when even though Tomoya and Kyou had so much chemistry together he couldn't get it on with her because he was too attached to his past with Nagisa and his kid(what kind of bullcrap is that anyways bro, SHE WANTS THE D!)

A great conclusion to an otherwise faulty arc. Seriously, Key should've done something more like this with after story instead of Tomoya just waking up and finishing with Nagisa still alive. This is much more realistic in terms of the themes that Clannad put out there.

ugh..... ive been debating on drawing more attention to this, since its the very first fan fic ive completed, but after 2 years of it having no feed back ive become a bit desperate. its on MAL and i have no plans of moving over to Fuwa since that would take a lot of time.
 
as i said it was my first fan fic that ive ever completed so go easy on it. this is a fan fic for the anime clannad and its second season clannad after story. the setup is it takes place 5 years after (SPOILERS FOR CLANNAD SO CONTINUE READING AT YOU OWN RISK) Nagisa passed away from child birth. the twist is that tomoya doesnt end up dead with a dead ushio in his arms. instead it focuses on him moving on with his life with ushio and he just might find new love in kyou fujibayashi, the girl he knew from high school.
 
i focused on kyou because she is one of my favorite girl from the clannad universe. just look at her, she is so pretty.


 
Now i know the pacing is off on some parts where it just jumps around or goes too slow, so cut me some slack. its not im trying to revolutionize the fan fic world. im just trying to tell a story and look at me stalling on the link to my story. what nice weather we're having isnt it? have you heard of the show attack on titan? nice show isnt it.

I am Mike. Cheese is my drug. I am a college student majoring in linguistics. I ultimately plan, for a career, to be an International Translator and/or ESL (English as Second Language) teacher. As a multilinguist, my specialization is Far East Asian dialects, most prominently being Japanese, but I have learned a good bit of German, and am currently learning Spanish. While I am not very fluent in any of those languages, my goal is to teach English to Japanese students - be they in Japan, or exchange students in the States, or even online. While I may be perceived as a weaboo, I have actually taken steps to learn Japanese, both its language and culture. I have naught but respect for the Japanese people and their culture and language. As such, I can read, speak, and write Japanese, if not fluently. I don't know much in the way of Kanji, but I understand Hiragana and Katakana writing.
 
Anyway, I'm a writer, and I have been on the lookout for people to create a manga or visual novel with me, and I eventually came across this site, which looks quite active to me. I decided to join, if not for forming a team, then at least for perhaps making friends who are just as passionate about this stuff as I am, though having a way to make a visual novel or manga that I can share with people would be great, too.
 
My current idea is for a manga (which, with adequate ideas and thinking could be made into a visual novel.... maybe). It takes place somewhere in the states, but I want to try to make it as friendly to Japanese culture as possible for such a setting. The Male Protagonist is a college student named Chase who wants to become a Filmmaker. He used to play baseball, but an injury to his leg prevents his further participation. He had always had an interest in film, however, so it wasn't a big loss. One day while he is walking home from work at the popluar movie theater in town, he passes by the local hospital. There are patients who are well enough to be out and about playing outside. One of them is a young woman bound to a wheelchair. Her name is Anastasia, and she has Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS for short), and is thus in her legs. While playing, Anastasia is attempting to catch a thrown frizbee, and ultimately runs into Chase as she is not paying attention to where she is going. As Chase is smashed, he experiences the "Smiling Pain", where, even though he's hurting really bad, he's got a pained smile on his face, and he looks like he feels great. This painful meeting between the two leads to a great many things happening, both good and bad. Over time, the two become close. I have plans for a slight supernatural feel to the story, but I'm not entirely sure how to fit it in without it just seeming out of place.
 
I have a great love for romantic stories, and my favorite anime include Kobato, Searching for the Full Moon, Seto no Hanayome, and Clannad. My favorite Visual novels right now are Princess Evangile (Finished only one route so far, currently immersed in another) and If My Heart Had Wings (again only finished one route).
 
Anyway, I consider myself to be a nice person, so I hope I can get to know you guys and be friends.

I mean honestly. You showed us this already, why even bother? The inconsistency pisses me off more than the intention. Da Capo II did the same thing, for some reason.
 

i keep forgetting to add that this vn has the same problem with most vn's. its hard choosing another girls route knowing that some of the other girls route has a huge revelation about their life that is forever changed for the better, and this is accomplished by falling in love with the mc. it always makes me sad when this happens. like with kotori's route in if my heart had wings.

now that im remembering it, it is like emi's route in way. although the pay off isnt as good and its sooo long compared to Katawa Shoujo. that may be why people dont like it. i never thought of it like that but Ageha's is still my least liked route.

i dont find it really special either but its just a really nice vn. its not groundbreaking but it has a lot of enjoyable moments and its enough to keep most people reading. those character designs though. it should be illegal how cute these characters are designed.

it was a very sweet, cute, absolutely adowable, wittle, vn. with characters that, I have cancer........

i think it is. its pretty heavy on the high school drama so be warned. although the drama isnt that bad. may be a little cliche but it throws some new stuff in there every once in a while. the route that appears to be the most popular one is Otowa Yuka's and is definitely my favorite route. theres also a hidden route once youve finished the other girls. just read one of the girls route and see if you like it. I think Otowa's is the shortest so go for her. you might need a guide to get there though.

literally just finished my first route. the credits are rolling as i am typing. the first girl i went for was Ayaka's. Ayaka's route, as well as the rest of the novel was great. next im doing ritsuko's route.
 
i am sad that there arent routes for the other girls. at least give me a ruriko route. its funny how at one point the nun (I forget her name) is giving love advice to the mc and lists the potential girls he could have and she lists ruriko as one of them. i thought "You're right. Ruriko would be a great choice wouldn't she? Except she isn't and option is she? Why do you taunt me, sister? Is is because you're secretly sadistic?"
 
it is extremely odd to have a major story arc for a Ruriko and have her

and not have route for her. whats even stranger is having a Ritsuko route when she didnt have a story arc in the first part of the vn.
 
But whatever, i still enjoyed the vn and am looking forward to seeing more.

Ive had really really for a while now, the sequel to shuffle, and everything was going fine until my pc crashed and the save file was deleted and it wont create a new on its own. Where exactly is the save file found? Ill just create the save folder myself, i just need the location of where the save needs to go and what its called. Please dont send me a download link of any kind, because my pc doesnt have an internet connection and i am using a phone to post

Does anyone know a good kanji learning software? I would really like to learn and I think it would be easier if I had some sort of teaching software for the pc.

I had a hard time dealing with the main character but some of the gameplay parts were interesting so I still recommend it.
 
Also I agree with what Decay said about Princess Waltz. For me I felt the combat was kind of pointless. Like this one battle I did early on I was fighting this monster and won. Then once it took me back to the reading part it said the monster was still alive and was still causing havoc. What was the point in me fighting and winning then if it was just going to continue its rampage? Also I think before or after the monster battle I fought this girl, I won and she was still kicking and almost kicked my butt. Again, what was the point in me fighting if this was the result? Also there where sections to that game that was just soooooooooo long and I started to slowly not care about these "epic" moments that was going on.
