I'm about to make the thread here. Oh well. Anyway, here's the project in case you didn't want to browse Nekonyan's site. Also note that I add the 'Secret Project' here, and the reason is because all of Nekonyan's announcements are their secret projects.
Secret Project 1 - Ren'ai Karichaimasta

Because of his family's unique circumstances, the only thing Yuki put his faith in was that "Money will make my little sister happy." To this end, he regularly worked a part-time job until late at night.

His goals were to graduate as soon as possible and get a full-time job. But, one day as he was leaving for work, his little sister told him, "If Yuki isn't going to college then I won't either." He knew he couldn't put such a burden upon his little sister.

So, in order to gather the necessary sum of money to enter university, Yuki signed up for a "human employment rental" website. It seemed extremely suspicious, but desperate times call for desperate measures.

He starts his new job...and for some reason, a girl in his class asks him to be her pretend-boyfriend. Then he's hired to pretend to be a woman's lover, another girl's friend, and even the older brother to a pair of twins!

The details of his fake relationships with these girls begins as soon as he takes their money!
Secret Project 2 - Cafe Stella to Shinigami no Chou

Takamine Kousei was living a carefree college life until, one day, he tragically died in an accident. But then, the bizarre happened: Takamine Kousei opened his eyes again. And what's more, when he woke up, it was the morning of the very day he had died. He proceeded to relive the same day, unable to grasp the reality of his situation. Kousei soon realized that his previous experience was not some prophetic dream, nor was he experiencing deja vu; everything was taking place the exact same way.

Overwhelmed by fear due to the unbelievable situation he has found himself in, he came back to the place where he had died. Then, at the moment of the accident, Kousei met a death goddess accompanied by a talking cat. The death goddess informed him that he has not yet avoided his death. In order to escape his grisly fate, Kousei must assist the death goddess with her work. And naturally, this means the opening of a café together.

By rewinding the world, Kousei may have overcome his fate for now, but can he overcome the certain death his future holds for him? This is the story of one man's love and his defiance of the world and his own fate... maybe?
Secret Project 3 - Sugar * Style

Spring needs to be a more fun season!!!

Getting deceived by an evil woman, having a had debt made by my parents who ran away at night... After a consecutive streak of trouble I was unable to decide on what to do after graduating. But then, I was helped by my kind relatives who introduced me to a local specialty school where I enrolled.

"This time I'll will enjoy my life!!"
And full of expectation in my chest, I reached the "Hidamari Dorm".

It turned out that it was a dorm where only women live in. It must be the place for my fateful encounter...! Is what I thought, but naturally, everyone was wary of me as the only man...!
But I won't give up...! This time, this spring, I will definitely enjoy myself!!
Secret Project 4 - Mirai Radio

July 10, 2061, Sunday. City: Nariyama. Prefecture: Chiba.

Yamanashi Sora redevelops the radio while tinkering with some components.

"...Just in time."

That day marked the fifteenth year since the artificial pigeons started consuming electromagnetic waves.
Sora began broadcasting with the radio left to him by his father.

The next day, after his first rocky broadcast, a mysterious message is picked up by the radio.

"This is a follow-up report on the Firmament's fall on August 1st. The death of a civilian named Yamanashi Sora has been confirmed at the former site of Terminal 1. A number of injured people has also been confirmed in Nariyama's International Sky Academy."

It’s a radio broadcast from the future.

“I'll... die in three weeks...?”

After listening to the ominous broadcast, Sora steps into the terminal for the first time in fifteen years. It was the former gateway to Japan, the same place where Sora lost his parents. The building was in ruins, a shadow of its former glory, now a nest to countless artificial pigeons. There, Sora meets a silver-haired maiden. She looks straight at Sora, gently brushing a still artificial pigeon's head with her finger.

"...You won't die."

The girl says calmly while Sora stands dumbfounded.

"Because I have decided so."
“Because I want you to.... look up at the sky and smile, Sora.”

This is how Yamanashi Sora and Hazuki Kaguya met.
Secret Project 5 - Aoi Tori

November, winter.
Sitting at the base of two mountains is Kirihara Academy, an all-girls Christian boarding school.
Men are normally forbidden on the premises, with the sole exception being the protagonist Shiratori Ritsu, who both attends the academy as a student and serves as a priest.

Ritsu has the power to bring "bliss" to anyone he touches, with the potency being higher if it's sexual in nature.
He's targeted by demons for having this miraculous power, and has never once left the academy.
The girls consider him an "angel", with many coming into his carnal embrace in search of "bliss".

Burdened by the sin of killing one of these girls, Ritsu vowed to put others' happiness above all else.

Caught in a chaotic mix between the pure and the obscene, Ritsu spends his days on the precipice of insanity.
That would soon change, however, with the arrival of a single girl.
The curtain of our story rises, and Mary Harker, a vampire at the end of her hundred-year long journey, takes the stage.

Sharing the spotlight with her, is the voice of a demon on the other side of the phone.

Can the power of "miracles" really bring people happiness?
What is the value of being born into this world?

PS - First of all I like the announcements very much and I look forward to Sugar * Style release at April 30th later even though apparently it's less good compared to either Fureraba or Makeover. While Cafe Stella here is sort of predictable, I'm still look forward to the release of it. Good job that Laplacian got Nekonyan to license Mirai Radio, and perhaps Nekonyan here might be the one who'll license Aojashin even though apparently Laplacian will try to going independent there. Karichaimasta here looks like Sukiren in that it'll full of comedy or something like that, although looks like it'll be better compared to Sukiren. Lastly Purple Software here is really flexible when it come to localization partner, and I'll look forward to the eventual release of Aoi Tori.

I have to say, NekoNyan has successfully established itself as consistently producing excellent titles. One looks at their translation teams and we get translators like Blick Winkel and ReadingSteiner, and editors like DxS, Decay and FredTheBarber, as well as their own regulars. I'm glad things seem to be going well for them.

Last years most wished for title Evenicle 2 has been announced since but the other titles are still unlicensed.

Hoshimachi Suisei (星街すいせい) is a female Japanese Virtual YouTuber associated with hololive. While originally an independent VTuber who eventually was recruited into hololive, she is currently part of "hololive 0th gen" alongside fellow solo debutants: Tokino Sora, Roboco, Sakura Miko and AZKi.
Suisei is a modest, multitalented singer and aspiring idol who is among the more level-headed members of hololive, though she also has a childish streak. After her unexpectedly compelling performance as a traitor in a game of Project Winter, she gained a reputation for remorseless sociopathy behind a facade of polite sweetness. No one seems to know how much of the "Psychopath Suisei" persona is real or not, but Suisei herself acknowledges that it is extremely funny and has referred to the incident on multiple occasions.

I've finished the second chapter of the story, which proved surprisingly long and involved. The plot at first felt just like generic anime BS and the formula of the cutscenes (segregated into usually very short "missions") made it seem a bit random/scattered, but I was surprised how well the many story threads came together in the Chapter 2 finale. It's still very much full of cliches, but it managed to become more imaginative and meaningful over time. There are cool relationships, plot-twists regarding the villains and characters that start out looking like caricatures but show decent depth later on... For an MMO, it's solid stuff. Also very well-voiced, but I guess that's standard for high-budget Japanese games. Ex. the crazy robot lady that acts as the ranger trainer is voiced by Kana Hanazawa and while she seemed like a tertiary character at first, she kept reappearing and it's hard to not appreciate her relentless and unapologetic bloodlust. 😛
The overarching lore has this Final Fantasy vibe of mixing sci-fi and fantasy and I think the latest story content went even deeper in the direction of mystical nonsense... But it's fun kind of cheese. I think I'm going to keep pushing for foreseeable future and in anticipation for New Genesis (which is part-sequel part-expansion on a new engine, apparently coming later this year).
Edit: Also, apart from the story, I have to tell I really like the ability to freely switch between classes and essentially train in two specs at once. As the kind of person that puts everything into one character rather then creating alts, the freedom to experiment in this way is pretty awesome. Of course levelling requires a lot of time, but it's not necessarily "grinding". You can do a lot just clearing one-time quests, participating in events and completing battle pass tasks. Didn't feel much pressure to spend money either, apart from initial investment of like $8 to expand inventory.

I wonder, anyone still playing it around here? I kind of jumped into it due to rather generous Game Pass perks and immidiately got hooked. This is, like, the ultimate loner MMO you can play on console and not even be bothered by the lack of keyboard to communicate with people properly. 😛 I'm playing a ranger on ship 4 BTW. The account name is the same as here. 
I started playing last week, mostly just advancing the story and doing quests, but I've spent over an hour tweaking the character today. I'm going to consult my gf on the final touches tomorrow and post it here afterwards. xD
Edit: The process of getting a screenshot from my xbox to PC proved a lot more complicated than it had any right to be, but I did manage to figure it out... Yay?

I would like to say before anything else, that this project is first and foremost an open love-letter to the visual novel medium. I've officially been reading visual novels (granted, on an on-and-off basis) for 10 years now. Hell, I've been posting on these forums for over 7 years. It's safe to say that visual novels are an ingrained part of me at this point. Whether across discussion threads here or blog posts, I've written a lot about my thoughts on visual novels, especially about those that I like. However, even with blog posts that I took lots of time to carefully write up and polish, I never felt like I was able to truly convey my genuine love for the medium. I think with this visual novel, Digital Seclusion, I've finally been able to do that to some respect.

 
Plot Synopsis: Isolated in a room repurposed into a personal shrine to esoteric Japanese media. Our nameless protagonist has dedicated himself to a collection of retro Japanese computer games, with a particular fondness for early visual novels. Although decaying in a slovenly existence to the untrained eye, his retreat into digital life is enriched by the scripted interactions with various charming 2D girls. His one purpose in life is to chronicle his thoughts and reflections on each of the digital worlds he immerses himself in. However, one day while pulling out another visual novel to review, a girl leaps straight out of the cover art and begins interacting with him, face to face. But perhaps most shocking of all, in a completely unscripted manner.
Information: Digital Seclusion is completely free. In terms of its length, I would estimate it to be between 1.5 ~ 2 hours long. The current and most likely final version of this VN is version 1.20.

"Kyle the Cat" was a short project I worked on in Unity in an effort to make my comic episode that I drew interactive. It contains music, SFX, a ton of snow, cute animal people and a strange little minigame!

This is a beautiful VN that I wanted to recommend to you guys since I've been wanting to get back into playing it for a while...
Firstly, the art is beautiful and the main character is super deadpan which I love of course 😀 But most importantly, the Adventure Game elements added make the world that much more immersive!
One of my favorite mechanics of this game is the lore book that is updated with new information on each character that you meet or items that you use throughout the game in order to progress.
And don't even get me started on the soothing soundtrack! 
Well, you'd have to hear it for yourself : D

I'm a newbie here, but with decent knowledge of indie game development. I always liked visual novels, and especially FF series' storytelling concepts.
I wanted to make my own visual novel (mixed with RPG elements), but was too bored to learn Ren'Py, and couldn't afford Visual Novel Maker.
So I started to build my own visual novel engine, and I think it turned out pretty good. I though it could be useful for others too, so I just released it - for FREE!

Tonight I'm planning on finishing the update process for the forums (including all themes) as well as finalizing some back-end sharing necessary for Emi to take over my admin duties. I'm still alive and around, paying for the site (etc.), but enough is enough and this is what needs to happen.

Just a little list I'm compiling for my personal art stream fetish, but I imagine keeping it public might both be interesting to others and help me keep it comprehensive. ^^ Because of me being an uneducated pleb with close to no Japanese skills, the list will focus on English-speaking creators (that is, those with at least some English content), with anyone else being delegated to honourable mentions.
 
1. Ninomae Ina'nis | Hololive | English – Ina is probably the most dedicated artist v-tuber, with frequent art streams, tutorials, art collabs... Also extremely skilful and able to keep up the conversation while drawing.
   
2. Airani Iofifteen | Hololive | Indonesian/English/Japanese – while Ina produces most art-related content of anyone on Hololive and beyond, Iofi is the only artist-themed v-tuber I know of and is probably a close second when it goes to output. Her streams have less of that Bob Ross-esque, cozy quality of Ina's content, but are still nice to watch and she definitely knows what she's doing.
 
3. Hana Macchia | Nijisanji | Indonesian/English/Japanese – the star of the Indonesian branch of Nijisanji is not primarily known for being an artist, but she's been creating that kind of content occasionally, with both drawing streams and tutorials. Considering she also sings well, speak three languages and is generally pretty entertaining to watch... I don't know where they get these people from.
 
4. Froot | Independent/VShojo | English – the British Succubus Lich definitely has the potential to challenge Ina when it goes to soothing qualities of her content. Her voice and personality are very cosy and her drawing skills extremely solid – unlike most artist v-tubers, she's an animation major rather than a hobbyist. Her first art streams were a bit slow, with her struggling to share attention between drawing and interacting with the viewers, but she seems to be getting used to the formula and will likely be a great source of content in foreseeable future.
 
5. Kani Kanizawa | Independent | English – another British vtuber that is just as promising as she is bad at getting out the message that she's an artist/showing off her work. 😛 Didn't produce art streams yet, but she says she wants make those in the future, after she buys extra equipment.
 
Honourable mentions (English-speaking):
Nana Nanatsuki | Independent | English – a popular online artist with clear focus on art streams. However, she went on hiatus soon after debuting. Moona Hoshinova | Hololive | Indonesian/English – I was surprised to find out that Moona is a decent artist, but she very rarely leans into that kind of content. It's quite fun when she does, however, and there always might be more in the future. Kuzuryu Io | Independent | English – mostly publishes simple lineart and chibi drawings. Does art streams, but with an overall shaky schedule. Paprika Gallus | Independent | English – frequent art streams, tutorials etc. – stylistically and content-wise slightly more detached from otaku culture. Stalkeralker | Independent | English – draws in a relatively simple, cute style and publishes art regularly on social media. Rare drawing streams. Momo | Independent | English – very rarely draws on stream, but shares art on social media – usually sketches/doodles. Outside of drawing, she likely has the best singing skills I've seen in all of v-tubing (not an exaggeration). Cecile | Independent | English – an artist publishing speed-paints and other art content on YouTube, now expanding into V-tubing. Currently in pre-debut stage. Honourable mentions (non-English-speaking):
Pochimaru | Independent | Japanese – professional mangaka and author of Pavola Reine's model. She does very frequent art streams. Collabs often with Iofi. Shigure Ui | Independent | Japanese – relatively regular art content, but with limited output overall (around a single video a week). Her illustrations are very high-quality and she created her own avatar. Natsume Eri | Independent | Japanese – so, this girl is apparently an eroge artist with nearly two decades of experience? WTH? ...I guess her skills makes it believable and she once made a nearly 10-hour long art stream which is not something I've ever seen before. Seems very likeable and massively underrated, but my Japanese is still barely a thing, so I leave SIMPing for her to you guys. Konbu Wakame | Independent | Japanese – professional mangaka with predominantly art-related content, but a very scarce uploading schedule (usually 1-2 videos per month). Natori Sana | Independent | Japanese – a long-time v-tuber with a large variety of content and regular art streams. Uses a cute, predominantly chibi-like style. Mizuryu | Independent | Japanese – the very rare male artist v-tuber. Unlike most streamers, he mostly does comics rather than stand-alone pieces. Kagura Nana | Independent | Japanese – occasional art streams & posts art online. She's done a single English Stream in the past, but primarily does content in Japanese. Also, produces a lot of music videos/covers. Amicia Michella & Siska Leontyne | Nijisanji | Indonesian – lesser-known members of Nijisanji ID also do art content, but sadly never in either English or Japanese. Hoshimachi Suisei | Hololive | Japanese – being a competent artist is among Suisei's many talents, however she seemed to have dropped drawing streams after transferring to Hololive proper.  
I know there's a few I'm still missing and there's a lot of English anime artists that are aiming to go into v-tubing/will debut soon so I might update this list if you guys point me towards any of them or if one catches my attention.

Well, 2020 was utter shit, but it's over now (at least here in Europe) and the new year has a real chance to be better. So, congrats everyone on surviving this madness and I wish you all a wonderful 2021, one that will make us all forget the crap we went through!
