If your avatar is the same as it was last year and I gave you a Santa hat for said avatar, it's time to change it. Otherwise, you may select one of the Santa hats and/or other adornments below, and I'll use my sick graphical skillz to put it on your avatar. (If you don't choose a hat, I'll choose for you, for better or worse. [Worse.])

You know the rules, and so do I. But in case you have a poor memory, they are as follows:
Make sure your current avatar hasn't already been Santified last year or a year before that. You can make a special request or ask for a Santa hat you found somewhere on the Interwebs, but it might be difficult to implement on your avatar. (Translation: I might be too lazy to accommodate your request.) Some avatars won't look very good with a Santa hat, either because the Santa hat is cut off from view or for other reasons. I probably won't be able to do animated avatars. If you get a Santa hat from me, I'll save your original avatar somewhere and @ you after Christmas to remind you that it's time to de-Santify your avatar. For every day beyond liturgical Christmas in which your Santa hat is still on your avatar, I will be angry and I'll probably keep @'ing you in a way that one could reasonably interpret as targeted harassment.

Disable your firewall and any security software, and then run the game as administrator and try again.
If that doesn't work try submitting the information while connected to a Japanese VPN.
I've also found, by googling, that you may need to open Internet Explorer (the browser) and reset the settings. Why this would work is beyond me, tho.

Hello guys, name's Jeremiah Sand, and I'm here posting this thread because I need some help with releasing a patch for this game I've been working on for a while.
Background
Some months ago I started translating Sen no Hatou to English and I was committed to finish the project, but due to me switching to a more professional enviroment in translations I no longer have much time to dump into the project and I fear that at the speed I'm going it'll never come out, so I'd like to release everything I've done until now, or at least the contents that the game trial covers.
Progress so far
Around 20k lines translated (the trial covers 10k lines) and tlc'd (except maybe the last thousand) ready to be edited at any moment. I wouldn't mind releasing as it is if I could, but the main issues holding me back are:
1. I lack an editor, the previous one ghosted me, and I'm an ESL so I fear some parts might need the help of a native to improve the reading experience.
2. Although I have a tool that is supposed to insert the text into the game said tool doesn't work, and thus I am left without a means to insert back text or images. I can't extract any images either.
3. (Optional) I would not mind having a couple of QCs at my disposal if possible, but having the text edited is a priority and I won't accept any form of QC until I have confirmation that the editing has been finished.
4. Probably not an issue, but maybe I need image editing, depending on whether the guy who was open to help me is still available or not.
So yeah, that's everything. Maybe a trial patch is not what people seek, but I'd really like to get this out as I've been working very hard on it and I would like to encourage someone to maybe continue with what I did, unless enough people would ask me to see this until the end, and in that case I would highly consider doing so.

Extra things:
1. I will translate both openings that appear in the trial and add video lyrics if possible in them (if I have the means to do so).
2. I will translate the UI if I have the means to do so, just like the OPs.

If you are competent and have delivered a quality product (i.e. translates from one language to another properly, reads well in the second language), then I agree, endless gratitude and praise to you. If you have not, I'll still give you many thanks and compliments if you can recognize your issues, fix them, and learn for later. If, however, you don't care about quality or are too stubborn to accept constructive criticism, and you fail to acknowledge your issue or improve, then fuck you, you're a cancer to the VN community and only promote the accumulation of garbage.
