guess this was bound to happen, eh? did read it shortly before my mind collapsed and definitely had a blast whilst doing so, quite happy for others being able to experience the same somewhat soon-ish as well. from what i get the whole kickstarter thingy is to bring over an enhanced version (+goodies) of its, isn´t it? anyway hope it does well for you and possibly more to be brought over titles of theirs future-wise wouldn´t be bad either, especially a certain beautifully written jqv.

edit: don´t you ever go mainstream, doujinshi are the industry´s real alpha & omega.

edit2: just noticed that amoeba called malamasala commenting on the prefundia of yours. better not take his simpleminded whatsnot of an opinion as a measurement for the community as a whole, because that´s what it is. neither high res visuals/ famous voice acting, nor ero content which often feels out of place is what should matter most. if the writing is shit, everything is shit. simple as that.

The concept of 'native resolution' is unique to 2D pre-rendered 'static' art.  Many people, especially on Steam, are used to 3D games where everything is rendered dynamically in real-time by the engine, so they don't understand why VNs can't be rendered at any resolution desired without loss in visual quality.  In addition, it seems that higher resolution drastically increases production costs on detailed CG like you typically find in VNs.

Naturally, high resolution art is always good, but as people have pointed out in the replies, not playing on native resolution will always cause some loss of image quality (albeit it'll be the smaller the closer your display resolution is to the game's resolution), so target resolution does matter. On the other hand, many people have expressed a strong preference for playing fullscreen or windowed for immersion or because they alt-tab a lot.

Easy one, Little Busters! Though I have a few other ones I'd give a perfect score to as well (such as Ever 17, Planetarian, True Rememberance and the latest addition of ENIGMA:), I'd still say that remains my favorite. Thoroughly entertaining and moving all the way.
Reading through the routes for the 5th time and beyond, and they still strike home just as hard.

Are you people seriously having a discussion about how bad is Majikoi? The best translated comedy visual novel that actually is fun and sexy? That breakes most of the tropes? With one of the most professional VA out there? With smart and capable MC, likable characters and engaging writing? Sure, it has some flaws but nothing is perfect in this world. And blame top eroge for being... eroge is just unbelievable. Sometimes, I don't understand what people actually expect from japanese adult humour.
