If you were referring to my post where I was joking about the release date - just ignore it! I actually mistook Sekai Project for Jast. In my defense, it was very early in the morning and my mind needs at least one hour more to wake up than my body...

We don't have AX or Otakon yet. I don't think they will officially announce a big untranslated new title just on a small con even if they are teasing for Aokana quite a bit.
The best news is actually that Favorite is willing to release their titles in the west which isn't a given, so there's hope for more from them.

I just don't get why the hell Sekai Project wouldn't aim for already translated titles. It's more cost efficient, faster and goes nicely with their motto of spreading VN's around. Sure, most VN fans may have already played such fan translations, but that's why Sekai Project always goes for steam.
In my opinion, they'd be bonkers if they didn't go for fan translated titles when they have the chance.

No they are not - and nobody claimed that! The poster asked for something similar to Koirizo OR a vn that has HD native resolution. It was an optional request not a must.

When it was accounced I wasn't so interested in it, but I reconsidered because the title got a shitload of awards in Japan which made me curious. It's also drawn by Onigiri-kun who's IMHO AliceSoft's best artist.
Not sure if I'll regret my decision to play it though. There's certainly a lot of H-content I rather don't want to see. But apparently the title allows you play the good guy and avoid all the nasty tentacle stuff, so I'll give it a try.

ChaosRaven got a reaction from kingdomcome in Beastmaster and Prince -Flower and Snow- Otomege Kickstarter Launched
First, some otomes have really interesting classic scenario's. Otomate in particular is almost specialized in medieval Japanese stories like Hakuoki. And I really like medieval knight & samurai stories. PersonA has Phantom of the Opera as a theme and that's my favorite musical by a long mile. And Sanzen Sekai Yuugi is almost modern spy movie style.
Secondly, they put much greater emphasis in male characters, and I'm so sick of the idiot friend type. It's actually very refreshing to have a coversation with a male character who acts like an intelligent being and doesn't shout the whole time as I'd be deaf. Maybe that doesn't apply to all otomege's, but at least the guys in Hakuoki are some real kickass dudes.
Thirdly, it's still a boy-girl scenario just with reversed roles, which is kind of interesting.
Fourthly, they still have some gorgeous protagonist girls which are even always visible on screen like Tomoe Nakahara from Sanzen Sekai Yuugi:

And all the H-scenes are with her... *drool*

Wanted to read Hatsuyuki Sakura for a long time so I'm rooting for that one of course. Especially if it's against this... 'thing'.
Hatsusaku also has an average of almost 8.5 with about 350 votes on VNDB for an untranslated VN. That's hardly a rating for a mere 'run of the mill moege' anymore. Sakura no Uta also isn't that much higher with just ~0.4 more and... 250 votes less.

It's important to have a harem for your top waifu to fullfill her latent lesbian needs. The harem should be of reasonable size to offer some variation, otherwise your waifu might get unsatified. So in short words, a harem is just for the sake of your waifu and harem owners therefore like their waifu more than non-harem owners because they care more for their needs.

I would have have really liked to see a route for Tokita Yuki from G-Senjou no Maou. I feel like she's easily more interesting than any of the main heroines other than Haru in the story and certainly far more so than her sister.

Masada tends to be rated highly due to the quality of his writing, he is said to be a superb writer, but does he write stuff a lot of people want to read? It's the age old literature vs genre fiction thing - literature is said to be of a higher quality while genre fiction is said to be entertaining. Because of this literature gets the higher rated reviews and a lot of the awards, but in sales genre fiction destroys modern literature. Similarly in VNs the ones which sell the most are not the ones which are said to be of highest quality. Sakura no Uta came in 9th in the recent Getchu sales chart, Custom Maid 3D2 came in 2nd (is that right?) And in the West, well, I think we all know what's dominating the sale chart here. Quality is about art, but popularity is about entertainment. You won't really see that in this poll due to the low number of participants and the community the poll is aimed at, but I think you're seeing it a little.
Also, Parfait is supposed to be really good ... apparently (I wouldn't know )

So, the Getchu Bishoujo Game Awards 2015 are out. That was a lot faster than last year.
Congratulations to Makura and SCA-Ji: Sakura no Uta won it. Looks like there's more to this title than just hype. I'm slowly getting interested.

She was certainly a bit over the top which always bears the risk to be received as annoying. But for me she was the only one who brought some much-needed life in the otherwise rather stale common route. She was a bit like a loli ball hitting a blob of moe pins with full speed, and everyone went "Ahhhh, Konomi!" . She was just hilarious!

I don't think that can be really called 'gameplay'. I think it's just a visual representation of the consequences of your map targets and scene choices. Alice Soft released a similar game a few years ago with Oyako Rankan which seems to be much more focused on netorare, but the gameplay part itself looks very similar.

There might be another interesting untranslated title: Tsumamigui 3, the newest title from Alice Soft. I didn't play that yet, but it's currently a best seller on Getchu and it looks pretty hot. No rape and seems to be more about seduction, neotori and (avoidable) netorare. Ratings are good on VNDB but the vote count is not high enough to be reliable yet.
Another artist for more mature girls who's more into straight nukiges is Sano Toshihide from G.J.? He had some popularity a few years ago with stuff like Hime to Boin, Sex Life and Madonna. After that it somehow went downhill. I played the former two about two years ago I think. What makes them kind of special is that they are animated and the first one has - believe it or not - adjustable boob sizes for the heroines.

You're probably right, Eushully games have so much content in the side routes that intentionally skipping that much content would be a real waste. It's also risky since skipping the side quests could lead to underleveling and make the main quest line too difficult. Though I still liked Servalwi's route a lot.
It's probably better to stick to Aselia and the soon to be released Seinarukana (which I'm eagerly awaiting myself). Can't recommend Yumina though - it was awful.

If you don't mind untranslated, I'd suggest Kiriya Hakushakuke no Roku Shimai from Atelier Kaguya. It's a bit like an Innocent Grey VN just with a lot more and better ero and the guys are dying instead of the girls. Great atmoshere and soundtrack. There's some rape in bad endings though, but the main routes are fine except one if I remember right. It's the hottest VN I've ever read. Just don't pick Sumi if you want a submissive girl, she's the exact opposite.

Completely without romance but lighthearted is tough. If low on romance is also okay I'd suggest Overdrive stuff: Edelweiss, Kira Kira, Deardrops or Dengeki Stryker. They have very entertaining slice of life with lots of fun and quirky characters.

Just for comparison, this is Getchu's sales ranking 2015. I've also added a list of the top twenty below. Only the entries which didn't appear already in the Getchu awards got an image and VNDB link for easier differentiation (and less work). Some interesting observations:
I'm not sure what's more shocking, that Angel Beats didn't make it into the Getchu awards or that nobody even seemed to miss it. I think this is the first time that this happened to a major Key title, but it at least did sell well. Poor Key - beaten by Custom Maid 3D2.
Eushully might not haven been happy about the ratings for Kami no Rhapsody but they certainly won't complain about the sales on third place. The same applies to Chrono Clock from Purple Software as well on fifth place.
It also shows that a good writer isn't a guaranty for a good story. Both Looseboy's 'Boku no Hitori Sensou' and Ou Jacksons/Takahiro's Anekouji 'Naoko to Gin'iro no Shinigami' didn't get good ratings even if their titles sold well. That's why I love good artists - they always deliver.
Edit: List fixed and several titles made it in from the Getchu winners like Sakura no Uta or... Custom Maid 3DR2. Other new titles are from Favorite, Feng and Ensemble.
