So what was that KoiChoco drama all about?

I'm wondering about this: Are all those only h scene writters? And if not - what happened to their involvement and what was that?

Characters that are attached to dumb things and sacrifice their whole living time to them. You know, like in Hoshimemo Aoi (main spoiler for her route) Or like Michiru in Air is loving soap bubbles because her friend showed her that, and that's basically it, in terms of her character. Basically situations when girl getS something from protag, and kept this little junk for years. And when protag came back to his hometown years later, she still have this thing and adores it daily, waiting for once again use this together with him. Or something similiary stupid. People who just stuck to one thing. Human beings aren't like that. You have to had some sort of autism, or other mental disability to be able to be so focused and absorbed by meaningless, boring thing. But vns seems to be filled with heroines like that. [I have a theory that japanesse people/vn readers love girls on the verge of mental disability, and every little thing I came across is proving that... like how always awkward they're positioning themselves on sprites and cgs. Or - those 'silly' jokes, when protag is telling girl that he lost his wallet at south pole and then she run off, gets into the bus and start a trip and then suddenly she thinks 'but south pole is far away', etc]

Nope. I read VNs only since september 2015, and got to Fuwa/other vn communities a while later, so I missed it.

...Agree. And Disagree. Self censorship is really like that, like handing the wallet before anybody asked for that. But self censorship is really rooted in our culture. You can't write f.e. racist, or hardcore sexist stuff. Or attack anybody personally, or things like that. Even if you want to, you self censore yourself to 'fit the norms' and not to offend anybody. Is it bad? Kinda. Is it avoidable? No way. Wat do? Get over it. Nothing we can do. Self censorship is a thing and it will be growing. On the other hand, with self censorship we can get much better VNs - sexless. So more money for interesting CGs, as opposed to ero ones, no moodbreaking, cringy explicit alien sex descriptions, and overall much better experiences. So self censorship can have a positive results. EDIT: and like in the first tweet - no fan servicey pointless boobs. New version, while censored, is much better.

Nope. It's relatively easy to get accustomed to avoid those crashes though. I just stoped hitting Enter everytime there was any transition etc.

Well, I/O don't have a routes in typicall manner. It's just one big story. Twisted in convoluted 'rotues/chapters' system, which is the probably worst system in VNs ever. But it's worth it.

You technically could play in any order, but it's really not recommended. Just start with the first route, that with a school boy as a protagonist. Nothing confusing about this route, at least at start. But whole VN is confusing AF.

Ten hours today. Still not finished. But what a great VN this is, the amosphere is unbelievable! The NVL scene, in which (big spoiler) was mindblowingly creepyly enchanting and entrancing. And I changed my mind - new sprites for Maid are much, much more fitting. Don't know why they didn't make her 'right' in the first place.

I didn't say great, but it was good. All those PDAs with different tasks, while being cliched, were nice. They could provie some interesting interactions between cast. But they were not used at all. Aaaaaaaagree. Second part was horrible in almost every aspect, but eventually much better paced than first route. I stormed though it, while I was dragging AF through first one. And all that 'love at first sight'... ugh. But I must say h scenes with that little kid was so baffling I constantly was doing breaks with my palms on my head and jaw on the floor. Weirdest shit ever. Overall I gave it 4.5/10. Maybe to high, but it fits with other vns I've read, and their grades.

Well, I always try 'looking good' things, but they turn out miserable... And I'm trying to found anything positive about experience. ;d But list of worst titles might be interesting. :v

Well, great to see another Steampunk game. Haven't read any of them yet, but I love them right now. Settings, art (except Gatkhkhun I didn't like that style), music, screens with beautiful prose, opinions, all of them are building my hype. I hope I won't get dissapointed. But for now - kudos for MG. Also Fatal Twelve have good description and I'm interested. Anything else is very 'meh', outside my radar. So far best news this year is still Baldr Sky.

Off to Killer Queen. I'm 2 hours into second route and it's painfull, painfull as hell itself. I love it. Probably under 3/10, but we'll see. The biggest problem of this game is...too good premise and setting. If the setting would be less interesting, grade might be higher, because everything would be only 'meh'. But right now, great setting butchered horribly just screams for lower possible grades.
