  1. To all those who don't really love first Chapter of Supipara - remember that Mangagamer version is only a half of 'Story 1' from original Japanese release. Just sayin.
  2. "Episode 1". ;_; I hope that trend will die before it grows.
  3. Actually I will wait for 18+ patch and at someday I will read it. I'm actually interested in Michiru hair colour and how stupid Makinas' new employment will be. Also main story is written by Ryuuta, so I know it will be bad... And I kinda like bad things. In Adam Sandler movies style. So bad that's funny. All those h scenes with all those characters... backstory to them just must be hilariously terrible and ridiculous. So I'm interesded in what he came up with to shoehorn them. Also I heard that final act of the trilogy is full action packed Jamesy Bondy style schlock (with harem h scenes), so this will be fun as well (in one way or another).
  4. I did it. I finally did it. I haven't feel so free since I drop out of college. I had this heavy, smelly, disgusring turd on my shoulders since 18.03. Almost 5 full months. But I did it. Today I finished the most unfunny comedy with the most terribly written story and most boring introduction ever. I finished reading Grisaia no Kajitsu. It wasn't entirely terrible. I gave it full 5/10. Here is my spreadsheet if anybody's interested. Major issue? Mr Fujisaki Ryuuta. Maybne he has a good 'prose', and really had a few nice ideas (whole Amane backstory for example). But he definitely don't know how to write. He's focusing on completly nonimportant parts of scenes/situations, and what is really good, he simply shortens to few 'microretrospect' sentences ("So in the end it was just this and then that and that was all."), but I wasted enough of my time to ranting about his style of writting in my past posts in this thread. Also - comedy doesn't clicked with me at all. Only one funny character was Makina, but even her get bored after 30+ hours of same pseudo jokes over and over again. Time to take care of another turd I left in limbo - second unique route of Killer Queen.
  5. ...wouldn't it be pretty if MG announced that they will be distributing Subahibi translation.
  6. Secret Game is a remake of Killer Queen. Strange thing is - Ithe pink haired kid is on the poster/cover for this game, but at least one h scene is with I remember Lemnisca wanted to finish shorter Killer Queen, just to be able to provide much better game, which is sequel/prequel "Rebellions: Secret Game 2nd Stage".
  7. Nobody checked yet what won the last years' Moe Game Awards?
  8. Thanks. I actually installed KnS2, and skipped thorugh all the game till first 'main' end (it took me around 70 minutes, because I made one msitake and got bad end in the meantime), and...there were no translation team in credits. ;p
  9. Does anybody have it installed and finished right now? I don't, so I'm asking. I need a screen from credits roll, screen that is listing Mangagamer staff. I would really like to know who is responbsible for this awesome translation and couldn't find the news on net.
  10. I went to vndb to add this to my wishlist, but I saw those two screens and amount of cancer was too high. xD (still added on wishlist, but only on low )
  11. And I did it! And this route is hilariously bad, as opposite to boring and sad (Killer Queen), so I have fun. :v
  12. Nothing. And I'm frustrated about it. Yesterday I even watched tv series and movie I saw once not so long ago. I have 'opened' 5 titles(!) right now. - Dengeki Stryker - I'm After 3 sagas, all chapters from original games, still have 2 'additional' sagas from 'Cho Dengeki Stryker' version. I couldn't started next saga, because ending after 3rd one was really fullfilling. Around 15 h to finish. - Fata Morgana - I'm in the middle, maybe a little further (minor spoilers) And although I love this game it's somehow really hard for me to get immerse. Especially that it's a very 'night' game, not to read in bright sunshine. Around 10-15 hours left. - Grisaia No Kajitsu - Only Yumiko chapter left. I hate this game, common, Amane, Makina and Sachi routes were atrocious, but I loved (despite it flaws especially at the end) Michiru chapter. I hear that Yumiko is much more 'down to earth' and it's written by other writter than that incompetent prick, Fujisaki Ryuuta, but other doesn't necessarily means better - Sachi route was at the same level as Amane and Makina. I'm exruciating myself with this VN for long, long months and still can't finish this. Basing on script lenghts and my reading speed I would say that 10h left till the end. - Killer Queen - I finished first route it was horrbily boring with stupid, annoying characters (I gave it 4.5/10). I started second, unique route, but main characters in this (10 year old loli, and yes - there will be h scenes with her) are even worse. It's around 4-7 hours of reading through tedious, boring and painfull story. It pains me even thinking about that, but I'm sure that I will sometime finish this. - Period - I strted this few months ago, read through half of common route and really liked one character. One out of 7, or 8 main heroines. So, in July I started it once again and in one day I read through common route and then I read chapter of his favourite character of mine - tomboyish Aoi. ...aaaand I have no urge to read anybody else. If this vn have around 30h, I'm around 24 before ending. So, people of Fuwa, help me please. I'm mildly ill right now, so I have a weekend at bed, without even internet connection, if not count few short moments, like this one right now. It's 15:17 right now. So, please - help me choose a VN I should read over this weekend, help me finish something. I can't wait for Ever17, but there is still a long, long way to go.
  13. Actually it's not. Sakura games are so dumb, that in result they're hilarious. And cheap. And goodlooking. So people buy them for laughs, just like people watching comedy movies.
  14. It's worth mentioning that it earned only 5k from almost 3 weeks of Eden* sellings + first 3 or 4 days of Supipara. 5k is, I would dare to say, really low number. Looking forward to your impressions.
  15. Actually that was not a gag. It was much much deeper, and I loved it in S;G. Of course there was a scenes when Okabe was a complete criminally dumb and was but Lukako story was really nice. About how her family fucked up with rasing him, how he was completly It wasn't just a gag, never seen it as one. But this is a discussion for another thread. And I do mean it, it could be really nice discussion.
  16. That I can agree with. Takeru was basically dick to her, in the 'don't you even dare talk to me' type of way. Still - his behaviour was understandable and not 'transphobic'. Anyway - I like reviews like that. Competent, detailed and good written. Even if I''m disagreeing with some things it was a good read. I ate MuvLuv very fast and was enjoying it, but flaws definitelly are here.
  17. I think not, you seem to be too intelligent for their scripts. Anyway - I hate their heroines' figures. Soooo big, soooo unatractive.
  18. Same here. Just a happy middle ground. Not to lose cultural references, not adding english 'memes'. Just made the text simply flow and everything will be fine. I actually enjoy many 'liberal' translations (Grisaia text, while contain horribly written story, was flowing pretty nicely), as far as I don't know what was in original version. I'm just kind of guy who don't like unnecessary changes. "Better is an antagonist for Good." As they sometimes say where I live.
  19. If I came across as hostile, then I apologize I didn't wanted to. As you cleearly see I'm far from native-level of english and subtle 'mood changes' tend to get lost when I'm writting, or sometimes even reading. About 'yoohoo' - yes, I have not played it, I just assumed. But if it was some japanesse 'gibberish' like (I'm making that up) f.e 'ueueueueue' as a form a greeting, then 'yoohoo' is even a localisation, because everybody in western culture can recognize 'yoohoo' as a greeting. But Fred said that it was parotting japanesse word. 'Yoohoo' is not a japanesse ('japanesse only' at last) word. It's international form of cartoonish greeting. So nothing bad in it. 'Move your body' - okay, it's just coming up with best possible word, so move your body is probably not that. But still -it's correct, ergo - it's nitpicking. Analogies - I just want to know what would be more pleasant for you or Fred. If not munching on a squid, then what? Also - old man munching on a dried squid is really graphic description, everybody can imagine that. And story takes place in japan, so there is no need to change that at all.
  20. I just can't agree with you. At all. If what you're saying means 'good editing', then give me bad editing all the time, please. First screen - perfectly fine line. The way she's speaking, she's normally accenting the 'quotation' she's using. Because these subtitles are exactly that - subttitles, not a self contained prose, so it's perfectly fine to depict in english text, what she said. Second - I heard 'yoohoo' many, many, many times. In english, polish, japanesse media. Normal, silly, 'cartoonish' even way of greeting someone. And I bet she wasn't speaking clear word 'yoohoo', I bet she was rather making a noise in form of her 'non word' greeting, which could be transcribed as 'yoohoo'. Third - Where do you live? Under a rock or somehting? https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=move+your+body Perfectly normal phrase, common even, I would dare to say. Fourth - I don't know what do you mean. Is it an ironic joke? Or are you just saying that 'there are no old dudes munching on dried squids in america, so I don't want to read that, give me the >avocado munchng old hobo<, because western people should be able to easily relate'? If the second, then I must say... Why. Why do you want to change what is perfectlyfine in the original. Change for a sake of changes. For the sake of Americans, who only knows their hamburgers. Maybe all VNs should went full Phoenix Wright, or Brok and his donuts? Is that what you want?
  21. Wow, this whole text, especially with screenshots just got me pumped up to read this VN. This style looks great, and if the story will not be stupid, or overlly boring, I would probably love it. also This is stupid.
