  1. That's great. Best route in Kanon was bittersweet like that.
  2. Can you vaguely spoil what was so angering in those ending? And titles? Majo Koi Nikki, HatsuSaku?
  3. Okay guys, who is Nijima Yuu and why are your reactions so...intense about him?
  4. How did you came up with that? There is clearly written in prefundia, that they will uncensor any 'gore' stuff in regular release, and then, 3 months later they will add a patch with pointless atrociously detailed, typical for VNs porn scenes.
  5. They were hired because of the quality shown in those snippets. http://ask.fm/Conjueror/answers/139509433563?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=answer_own#_=_
  6. Also worth mentioning is a fact, that company behind western release of DI is not Light themselves, but Regista, known from making Root Double (which they released through Sekai).
  7. I read through almost whole of it. It was a decent 'first big step' into improving their PR. Nothing really informative in those answers, just idle chat with 'fandom'. Attempt (fairly succesive) to mingle and smalltalk.
  8. This looks like 'the perfect kickstarter'. I have absolutely nothing to complain, they covered all bases. I'm impressed. Even the splicing in two parts is not a bother, since they are aiming at releasing them both in may. Bravo.
  9. I think is something like Eden. Little too long to be short (up to 10 hours) and still too short to be called medium (10-30). Both took me around 11 hours.
  10. Yeah, I was aiming around 8.9 before 'true end'. So I like dit very, very much.
  11. I just can't do it differently xD I mentioned all those things I really liked at the beginning though. ;d
  12. Finished Swan Song. Minor spoilers ahead. Unbelievably well written characters with great development, really good setting, great depressing mood, good art, great presentation, good prose, very 'fitting' ero scenes, nice music, very good voice acting, but.... Plot is a little undeveloped. I just didn't found the whole conflict with the temple as 'gripping' as first 1/3 of this game, when they were just trying to survive. I'm sure there could be something much better. And true ending. Jesus Christ. It sucks major balls. Voice actress is screaming 'oniichan' directly to my brain, loli tsundere is slapping protagonist for things he didn't do, happy go lucky atmosphere instead of really great bittersweet 'normal' ending, and Himawari. I have a ptsd from sharin no kuni and everytime I see a field of sunflowers, especially as a 'sign of hope' I die a little inside. Sharin no kuni is a worst VN ever and should be killed with fire.... and I detoured again. Anyway. True ending eve nincorporates the worst thing in Grisaia - veru rushed writting, which in merely 3 sentences sumamrize whole conversqations and full scenes instead of showing those conversations and events unveiling right before readers eyes. It feels like a 'summary' and not like a proper ending to a story. So yeah, 'only' 8.7/10. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After that I started Remember11. I read that Ukikoshi 'mastermind' behind very disappointing and mediocre Ever17 is nowhere to be seen (on vndb), and overall he didn't do much on this. Nakazawa Takumi, guy behind I/O and the best route in e17 (You's route) is main concept planner, main senario writter and director of R11, so I get hyped. I'm only after prologue, but it's gripping from the start, mysterious, creepy, and very pleasantly written, so reading is a fast process. Much closer to I/O than E17. And I'm only around 45 minutes in, so I hope this trend will continue. I hear that this game have a 'non ending' ending, so it's even better. Ending to E17, and abundance of deus ex machina was probably the saddest thing about that VN. Especially that they explained 'everything', but not the most mysterious and interesting little things, which were presented in first four routes. I take open ending that explains not so much, ending which you must think about to made any sense out of, over any overexplained and dissapointing ending every time. So, as you can see, I'm pretty hyped for R11.
  13. Come on xD That was a little joke from me, but she looks almost exactly like Yumiko. Even the eyes - this could be reflection of a blaze, fire. I know it isn't Yumiko, but resemblances are obvious.
  14. As Winterfury said. And also - Degica picked up Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien, and it's being translated by main guy in 'muv luv' team, Evan. He did more than a half of this very long VN, so he will probably finish KimiGa before Schwarzesmarken. Or maybe they will hire somebody else for that. We'll see. I was little sarcastic about that '2019' but there is certainly a lot of waiting ahead of us.
  15. English version of Schwarzesmarken situation looks like this: There will be demo released on Steam, but after they finalize all, or almost all of Muv Luv kicstarter promises. If there will be much interest and good sales for MuvLuv, there will be a full translation and release. So, around 2019 Schwarzesmarken release looks reasonable.
  16. http://www.dualshockers.com/2016/11/25/visual-novel-grisaia-phantom-trigger-vol-1-2-gets-simultaneous-release-date/ Hi Yumiko, whatya doin' here?
  17. So you felt it like some kind of second-person-embarassment? Now I can understand how can somebody not 'get into' that scene.
  18. Great rant, great read. And I must say... I agree with most of your points. Cast, pacing, rape scene (I literally felt like I was slapped in the face. Not the physical pain on my cheek, but pain inside, that I was betrayed, I trusted and I got pain), plot, unconstant 'power' of enemies which killed the tension, etc. Almost. I loved the cast. They we're all cliched archetypes, but they 'buyed' me in Extra, I laughed aloud with them many times. (except for Sumika, Sumika suxx). And probably that's why I liked Altered Fable the most from whole muv luv series. Infodumping - I found it fascinating. It was necessary and perfectly fine within boundaries of this story to tell all of this stuff in some 'summary' to Takeru. And I felt probably just like him during those brefings. Kinda bored, but still fascinated. Angst - no. Crying in the middle of classroom after 'chomp'? Come one, you heartless bastard. I loved every second of that 'story arc'. Takeru was completly broken and his pain was depicted perfectly. I rarely get emotional these days, but with Takeru there, I was crying probably same amount as him. But considering all of this, that's why I gave it 'only' 8/10, later changing for 8.5. It's imperfect game, far from it. But with scope as big, and 'high points' as high as they are, I can forgive much. Muv Luv Trilogy is still my favourite VN. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Neon genesis Evangelion is best anime ever, and everybody should watch it. And for all of you Shinji haters (worth read, but heavy spoilers for Evangelion): ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I as well can't wait for Baldr Sky, and hope that it will be, while being at least as 'big', even better than ML. Anybody knows if Baldr Sky have 'routes' or rather more linear, like MLAlternative? Because ML series are the example of perfect 'structure' in vns. I can't even imagine story heavy VN with typical for charage route system. Tsukihime, while great, felt like an anthology of short stories.
  19. Where is my I/O ending rant? :< ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Anyway - don't let this thread die people! ;d I just finished Period, which I started in June. And while it has a lot of boring stuff, a lot of shitty-shit (it's visible in my grades what really irked me here ;p), it also has a really nice atosphere, few 'spot on' jokes that I laughed at and one of the best 'side kick' charcters in VNs. Shame there is only so little of her - the bisexual tomboy, Aoi. She's great. And here are my particular grades.:
  20. Hey, hey. Beside that one, they're great at every other thing. You should buy your VNs you like to support the scene.
  21. Mangagamer assholes are forcing their VN save and configuration files on C:\users\[yourusername]\appdata\roaming\mangagamer (on Windows 7) Don't know if it's the same with Kara1, but it was the case for Kara 2, Fatamorgana and few others.
