  1. Fata Morgana, finished chapter 4 and started chapter 5. Also, a small question to those who already finished the game. I managed to get the right option (well, I guess it was the right option) to the choice at the end of the 4th chapter on the first try, but I'm pretty curious about where other options lead. So, what do you think, should I finish the VN first, or try other options right now? Anyway, I'm finally completely hooked! I'm not sure about how much free time I have right now, but I am probably going to spend a bit more of it on this VN.
  2. Wait, what exactly didn't you like about it? Just curious.
  3. Well, other than Clannad (which I haven't finished btw, but saw the anime) we also have Little Busters, which also has a pretty shitty ending. It feels like Maeda just doesn't know how to end his stories. Well, recently I started to get a feeling that he doesn't even know how to write a proper story, without fully relying on 'feels'.
  4. Yeah, I have a feeling I might need to.
  5. Well, the first episode of the second season doesn't seem so bad, but it still probably going to go downhill from this point. Can't help but wonder why i'm still watching this...
  6. Well, of course I'm still going to read it, I'm not just going to trust what everyone says. I just can't help but feel a bit less excited after understanding that this vn might not be as good as I hope it to be.
  7. After another monthly delay, finished the third chapter of Fata Morgana, and it was awesome! It's definitely the best chapter so far. Heavy spoilers ahead. That said, this VN is extremely to my tastes at this point. I'm pretty tired of Japanese school settings, and this seems like a nice change of pace. I might not have time to continue to the fourth chapter right now, but I definitely going to finish it some day. So far 9/10, with potential to increase.
  8. Seeing more and more people bash on it, I'm not even sure if I want to read this vn anymore. And I used to be really excited for it for several reasons. Well...
  9. After half a year when I only had about one or two hours for VNs every several weeks, I finally got myself some free time and returned to Fata Morgana. Right now I'm at the very beginning of chapter 3. So far, the story is pretty good, almost excellent, but there are some problems, and I have a feeling that more problems may arise in the future. The main advantage of this title so far is the setting. I'm pretty tired of modern Japanese high-schools in VNs, so the early Modern Age Europe is undoubtedly refreshing. Also, I like how they keep the nice balance between between developing the characters and the main intrigue of the story, which is not always done that well. At the same time, there probably are some problems with the pacing, as I often feel like the story becomes a bit too boring. Characters themselves are pretty interesting, though I believe that the first chapter is bit better in that regard than the second one. The main intrigue is pretty interesting, and I personally cannot see so far where this is going. I just hope they don't end it all with something stupid like "It was all a dream" or something. I would be pretty disappointed if this is the case. Also, nice intrigue is always good, but it means that the main ideas of the story are left in the dark until the very end, and I have no means of judging them before then. So far I'm willing to rate this title with 9/10, but I would not be surprised if the mark falls to 7 in the end.
  10. Well, if it is a legit sequel of some sort, I will be pretty interested. Though I'm pretty sure it's just a quick moneygrab.
  11. Well, it's not that short. I read about an hour or two a day, and each route took me about a week, if I remember correctly. Though I am a pretty slow reader.
  12. Rewrite? It feels forced, but I can think of several interpretations. The protagonist climbed a very high building to kill a crazy robot with a voice of a little girl.
  13. Well, Umineko often comes really close to breaking the fourth wall, and a reader, actually, plays quite an important role in the story. But it still tries to keep everything in-universe, so I am not sure it is exactly what you are looking for.
  14. Well, the best artist and the best writer in original Grisaia staff will work on that. Also, the famous name means higher budget, even though essentially it will probably be a completely new game. Can't say I'm not hyped, even though I still haven't read Grisaia 2 and 3. It will still probably be trash though.
  15. I think it's ok. Not many people voted on it anyway, and the average vote is pretty nice.
  16. Well, I expected it might happen. The main problem of bad adaptations is that they show all the problems within the main story, and fail to show its strong sides. Also, there are a lot of idiots who think they can judge the quality of an original basing on an adaptation, and some of them are pretty vocal.
  17. Basically, zero. To be honest, I don't think any company would risk making it, considering the existing anime failed in sales. Also, after I've seen Rewrite anime, I don't believe in visual novel adaptations anymore. And, I think, Rewrite is much more popular than Umineko in Japan.
  18. So far, Umineko and Muv-luv Alternative are the only ones. Though I haven't read that many VNs yet.
