I think some people are looking into it to deep, being lolicon doesn't have to mean that you have to like all lolis or that you can't like non-loli characters too or that you have to think about them in a sexual way. Liking a lot of lolis and liking them in a romantic way and liking more lolis then other characters is enough to be a lolicon.

Both, 14-15 and below are Lolis, Pre-high school . Officially every underage (18-) girl is loli but in Anime people usually draw that line below 14-15 and don't consider 16-18 to be lolis (15 is a borderline). The most popular ones are usually around 12. Some people consider older girls who just look as children to be Lolis too while other consider them to be a fake Lolis.

So when did this happen to you: When did you had become a Lolicon? In my case I always liked little girls more then mature ones and the more Loli character I saw the more aware of it I had become, so I guess you could say that I always had it in me and it's kinda hard to pinpoint an exact time when did I become one. So what about you? was it same for you or did a certain Loli trigger your Lolines?

Just finished Mayuki route, it was so Kawaii!!! It had less action but more character development it had more satisfying ending then Benio Route it had a nice romance and Akihito was a lot better then he was in Benio and common routes. If Akihito is more like this in the rest of the routes this VN might still end up in my Top 3 VNs.

I am not arguing with that I am just saying would you really like to have people close to you that you care about be raped or killed just so they could invoke strong feelings in you. I can stomach anything but that doesn't mean I will like it. I myself like "from bad to happy" endings, when first it seems that something bad happened but turns out to be okay in the end, but that is completely different as ending result is that character in question is even happier then he should be otherwise. @ Yukiru For me it is a big deal and there is pretty much noting worse for me then having sex just because of sex, it is not just a hobby it is a big part of a persons personality that I hate more then anything else. I guess our "philosophy" on the meeter is just way to different for us to find a middle ground. You don't see a big deal in it and like it, for me it is a big deal and I absolutely hate it we both like the rest of the VN. Well that said I am in a middle of a Mayuki's route now and up till now Akihito isn't as bad as he was in Benio's route, I hope he stays that way till the rest of VN it could greatly improve a VN for me if he does, true from what people said in this thread I doubt it will be that way.

@ Yukiru I just don't get the way you think, I really don't see how can you considered death of someone you care for to be a good thing unless you don't really care for him. If you care for your family/friends you won't say that it's beautiful thing for them to die, for me that's just a pure logic. I also don't see how can you like protagonist being a whore unless you just want something different from usual while not caring for how different it is, or if you just want him to have sex with every girl so you can get many H. otherwise I just don't get it. @ Celphes Well if he doesn't consider Benio to be worth being faithful to then he shouldn't be with her in a first place, otherwise he is just using her and no meeter what kind of character she is nothing can justify that. And while you say you can't understand why people hold that kind of thing against the protagonists I can't understand how can some people not hold it against him. Especially in the serious stories, if it's some lighthearted story like for example Kamidori I could understand how can people ignore protagonist having sex with bunch of girls because story is not that serous and shouldn't be taken that way but in serious stories I just can't go over it. I can't say anything for DDC as that one is not translated yet but I am not so sure that I would hate a protagonist as it seems to be very unique VN, well I for sure won't like the fact that protagonist is "Doing whatever he likes" when it comes to sex but depending on the story and characters I might not mind it as much as I do in Comyu + you said he changes as far as that is concerned after getting with a heroine witch is already better then Akihito (At least in Benio Route).

You see you make a difference between them, witch means you don't care so much about them as you care for 3D people. If I had to choose between something bad happening to my favorite characters or my 3D friends and family I would choose a later as I care for character more then for 3D people. And that's the reason why you like those things while I don't, it's about how much you care for them. People who care a lot for characters will not like those thing people who don't care that much won't be bothered by them much or will even like them. This is related to Comyu as it proves that people who deeply care for characters most probably won't like the protagonist. I'l leave the second meeter as it is to not go far off-topic.

I don't really get how can someone really care for characters while wanting them to end up killed, tortured, treated like dearth or worse just because it feels more real and closer to 3D world. It's like saying I care for my family but it would be interesting to see them all get killed when they get to hard times because that is more realistic. Those things just don't really match witch leads me to doubt how deeply you really care for them. And yes having loveless sex all the time is exactly like being a drug addict, both are needs and hard addictions and in both cases you just drown yourself in pleasure with pleasure as only goal. There are many plant drugs that are 100% natural so that's not any different either, and sex will also potentially cause you to harm others just as drugs if you don't get it in time once you are addicted. If anything sex is even worse as drug addicts at least realize that they have problem, and none drug is as wide spread as sex.

I am against morals and blind justice too but I hate bad/sad endings and I absolutely hate loveless sex. Everything is wrong and bad about it just fallowing that simple pleasure is noting better then being hardcore junkie who just wants his fix. And to me it seems you don't care for characters as you say that "having heroines die is just interesting". And by saying that your favorite character is Yoruko becouse "Imagine all sorts of things you could do with a servant like that" seems like you care for H more then for a story. And if that is a case our reasons for liking VNs in a first place are completely different. Like I said, if you care for characters I don't see how could you like those things.

loveless sex, brutal heroine deaths, just no, that is terrible I have no idea how can anyone like that, especially the first. At least if you care for characters I don't see how can you like it. And I don't think they are that common stuff in Chunii, I prefer Chunii and serious stories over a Moe/slice of life too, when I say that my favorite genre is action X romance I actually refer to Chunii x Romance I just say action because it's easier for most people to understand it that way.

I think that there are plenty of guys who would refuse such things (Including myself), they might be in minority in 3D but hey that's just one more reason 3D sucks. @Kaguya I think that there is a pretty good reason why "gotta be faithful" protagonists are cliche in non-nukige VNs and I think they should be that way. At least they won't gonna get any love for me otherwise.

@ChaosWaraith Well ok you are right about last part, protagonists can change depending on the route it just rarely happens. Once I had read other routes I'l let you know what I think. @MR. Meogii Yes it's a Chunii VN. True it doesn't mean you can't like both slice of life/Moe and Chunii VNs.

@Yukiru Benio for one isn't like that for sure she beliefs in one true love, and Haru is even worse then protagonist except she doesn't have that big of a rule so she doesn't bother me so much. And other characters also aren't like that, at least not up till this point. And for me it is a big deal to have a protagonist that is a whore and that I hate for that. @ChaosWaraith First spoiler as well as first half of second spoiler is from Benio's route, and that's exactly the second thing I said I don't like about him, He is undefined. True even if we ignore that and just say that he is doing that to escape from pain that still doesn't justify it. Also I like to watch on all routes/endings equally it doesn't meeter if there is a true route or not. True I can ignore 1 or 2 bad routes if others are good but the protagonist probably want change in other routes witch is still a big negative point, even if I absolutely love everything else in a VN protagonist like that will still drag it down big time. That doesn't mean it won't be a great VN but it could still be so much better with a decent protagonist.

It's like discussing episode of anime that just aired and you watched it while Anime is still not finished. It's not your "final judgment" just your opinion and expectation for now. True at least as far as protagonist is concerned I doubt that I will change my opinion about him, just like Funnerific said that's not a good reason enough for him to do what he does it's closer to an excuse for himself. True I might hate him a little less if he at least has an excuse, I will probably still hate him. True I myself unlike Funnerific did like everything except protagonist and Benio's ending. I Just finished Benio route, and up till now this VN has many great things, but it also has some pretty big faults. For the good points it has a great set of characters, I liked most of them, especially Mayuki and Rondo, and from the male characters Izawa a lot his probably a best male character from VNs I have seen so far. It has an amazing story with some very unpredicted and interesting twists. I also liked how story looks at things more objectively and doesn't bound it self for normal rules and morals but challenges them. And there's even an option to turn off H-scenes so you can read a story without being forced to go true porn here and there. Generally I loved most of things in this VN and if there weren't for those faults it would definitely enter my top #3 VNs, might even become my new number #1 favorite VN. Unfortunately those faults do take away alot from overwall story. And now for those faults. Firstly an ending of Benio Route was very disappointing. She was always a bit annoying with her naivety and hero of justice stuff and felt like she didn't blend in story very much, but still I did like her otherwise, I liked how pure she is and she would usually stop with her justice nonsense before it really mattered. (Benio Ending Big Spoilers) It is terrible and it doesn't fit in a rest of a story at all. If this was an anime and this was an only ending it would be enough to ruin a whole story. Good thing that it is only 1/5 endings and hopefully other endings are better. And second thing is protagonist. There is one thing that I dislike about him and one thing I hate about him. The thing I dislike about him is how undefined he can be sometimes. (Small Spoiler about protagonist personality) But the thing I really hate about him is that he is a whore, he has no problem with having sex with any random girl just for the sake of sex. (Middle level Spoiler) He is the worst, Heroines and other girls deserve better then him. With such protagonist it's hard to have any decent romance, no meeter how much you tried to build it latter having such a slut for a protagonist automatically kills it. And it takes alot out VN when you hate a protagonist no meter how much great the rest of it is. Well it is still a great VN but it could be so so much better if it just had a decent protagonist and a decent ending, well for an ending there are still 4 more for me to read so there is still a chance for it but I doubt there is any chance for a protagonist to become a decent character.

Just as there are man who want to have more then one wive there are woman who want to have more then one husband, denying that would be denying equality between man and woman. (Also you might want to give a try to some otome VNs/Anime if you don't think that that is true, reverse harem is as usual as a normal harem in anime/VN world.) Polygomy simply can't work nicely in society if it's both ways as it would destroy family, and if it goes just one way it can work but it is denying equality between man and woman, witch would bring more bad then good. I am not that much against polygomy as I don't think that 3D "romantic" relationships can be much worse then they already are but I simply don't think that it can work properly in a modern socaity. If you want to stand on the side of polygomy you need to think of a way for it to work both ways and to blend in modern society in order for others to accept it. You can't expect others to accept you point of view if you yourself haven't think about how would it all work.

Non-existing, pretty much nobody know what anime are at all, there are a few anime that are airing on TV channels for kids and those are always for kids (Yu-Gi-Oh, bakugan etc.) and everyone just calls them cartoons. And there are some toys from those anime you can buy at Chinese shops but that's it. I doubt that number of people watching anime in my country passes two digit number if you exclude kids. Even shipping things online is pretty complicated as most online stores don't ship to my country or shiping prices are extreme in cases that they do. Like for example I remember when I saw some SAO T-shirt on E-bay that cost only 2$ and shiping cost to my country was 60$. It also doesn't help that prices of anime goods are usually beyond what an average person here can afford to collect.

You see that's a problem here, today society stands for equality between man and woman and therefore you can't allow just man to have multiple wives and not allow woman to have multiple husbands. And if you do allow both man and woman to have multiple wives and husbands that would destroy families as we have them now. I mean imagine one man having 3-4 wives and each of those wives having 3-4 husbands and each of those husbands having 3-4 wives... you wouldn't have an end or beginning of family any more and that would destroy the very purpose of getting married. It wouldn't be any different then disbanding marriage all together. Also Incest is not any more harmful to society then gay marriages or marriages without children (Either because they can't or won't have children) as neither of them add to berth rate. Also looking at things globally berth rate should be decreased and not increased anyway.

That is not a situational trait, it's a personality. And by the way I hate those ones.

And what about people who's wallets are to thin to support anything? Should they just stop watching because they can't afford it? That's why it's best to have both piracy and means to support companies.

Do you want your protagonists to have siblings? Yes, one Imouto who is lovely-dovly with him. What about his parents? Are they living, are they dead? Dead or non-existing. Do you prefer fantasy or sci-fi like add-ons to your protagonist's personal issues? I like both. Do you prefer your protagonist to be mundane? No. Do you prefer him to be poor or rich? Do you just want him to be normal? Rich. Is he free to move about, or is he somehow restricted by circumstance? Free How does society see him? Is he the child of a criminal or maybe that of a brilliant scientist? They see him as a weirdo/eccentric.
