  1. Well I am not sure what should be done about Tsundare case, dividing their score by 2 seems to be the least advantage/disadvantage. By the way, Originalren do you want any specific resolutions of pictures for cards?
  2. How about if you instead of 2 best tsundare guilds take #1 and #3 or #1 and #4 (Best and worse)? Flutterz can run a simulation on those 2 options too and the one that puts them in least advantage/disadvantage can be the final option.
  3. I understood pretty much all up till now true I still have a few questions. - In beginning you said that each match will have 4 players but then you said that all players from same guild play together each match, so I didn't quite get that. is each match played by all people from 4 guilds or will there be multiple matches so that in each match 1 person from a guild plays that match as a representative of that guild witch changes for every match? Personally I think that a later option is a lot more fun. - Why do all locations have only moe power? Or is it just coincidence and you have yet to make location cards with other powers (Friendship and cuteness)? - When will we start choosing characters for cards and when do you plan for a game to begin? - (additional questions for a first question) If it's a latter option is a correct one then how will we choose characters for cards? will we vote and every person from a guild will have a same characters/cards or will each person choose a characters for his cards and have a different ones? (I already asked you this but you misunderstood my question). - (additional questions for a first question) If it's a latter option is a correct one will there be some kind of "global ranking" like guild of lolis scored #1 that many times #2 that many times.... or will each match be completely for it self? - How muny matches do you plan there to be? - after you played a card after 4 turn ends will cards you played go back to your hand or will there go to your pile deck (once that don't stay on the fild)? If they go to your pile deck then what happens with cards that stay in your hand after each 4 turn? This looks like it will be a lot of fun.
  4. I think that gameplay in Kamidori was just amazing, in terms of gameplay it is probably a best game I had ever played (or one of the best), when it comes to story well it's noting special but I still think it's nice and has a great side characters. So when you talk about VNs with great gameplay I think that Kamidori must be included. Also as far as I remember there is no any rape in Kamidori, true there is a lot of cheating.
  5. Yea if you just listen to Japanese enough you will pick up grammar too eventually, of course reading books too speeds up a process but it is not necessary.
  6. Well I learned English by playing games and watching movies and series so yea it's not just VNs/Anime as long as you listen to some language alot you will start picking up words, in fact it is said that one of best ways to learn a new language is to listen to it as much as possible. Not true, as long as you know words learning Kana is pretty easy and fast and once you know Kana you can read Japanese with help of text hookers and then learn Kanji while reading.
  7. Few question, you said that each guild chooses 11 cards that he have in deck for start, does that mean each person from a guild get's to vote or something and each player from guild had those 11 cards for beginning or does every player get's to choose 11 cards he wants to begin with and there are always different 11 for beginning? Also how are players for each match decided? And what if card on field has let's say both Kawai and Friendship power, do you need to beat/equal both of them to win that card? what happens if you win in Kawai power but lose in Friendship power? Will match have decided time when they happen or will just each player in that match play when he gets online?
  8. I don't really understand what I need to do, but I hope I will understand when I see what are others doing. So sing me up for Guild of Lolis.
  9. I don't really think that pre-2008 can count as ancient, I mean that's not even 10 years old, and there is alot of anime pre-2008 that are still pretty popular like Zero no Tsukaima, Shakugan no Shana, Higurashi, Death Note, Code Geass and many others. The ones I personally found to be the best pre-2008 are: Zero no Tsukaima Vandread Code Geass Simoun Shuffle! (While I dislike VN I think anime is great) Elfen Lied But there are many more that I think are very good and that I would recommend.
  10. I think that it's pretty hard to draw a line between an RPGs and other games as pretty much all modern games have some RPG elements. Original definition of RPG was a game in witch you play a role of a character, so pretty much as long as a character you play has a personality and there is a story in a game it was consider an RPG. But today most games have this so definition of an RPG needed to be changed so that only a games in witch you playing a role of character is more important to the game then other elements are RPGs. That said there isn't any objective rule to what does playing a role mean witch is why there is so many different opinions on the meeter. Personally I consider that Boiware's games like DAO, ME, Jade empire are most true to RPG genre from a western games.
  11. I don't think that such VN exist, at least I newer heard of one, there are some that have multiple protagonist but there is no VNs without one (If you know Japanese true there is probably something similar out there). That said protagonists as bad as Akihito are not that usual.
  12. Chart updated with a few VNs from '90 that I missed and 2 new charts added for only fan-translated VNs and only localized VNs.
  13. I always wanted to ask some things about this VN to help me decide if I should read it or not but I newer got to open a topic. Now I'l use this one to ask some questions of mine i'l be grateful if anyone can give me an answers (I am asking about a muv luv as a series and not only alternative). #1. This VN seems to have a high ecchi content and probably a high sexual content as well so I was wondering if it is still worth reading for someone who dislikes ecchi and hates H-scenes or is it's popularity coming mostly from that? #2. You say that a VN has only one ending but I think I heard that it has multiple heroines, does that mean that protagonist is one of those who go around cheating and having sex with any girl that shows interest? as I really hate those kind. Or is only alternative the one with a only one ending and the rest have a multiple routes? #3. If other Muv luv VNs do have multiple routes and the Alternative is the only one with an single ending how does that work as Alternative is a direct squeal to others Muv luv VNs (Or so I think)? Is it the kinda that says "All the other routes are fake you newer had a choice of choosing a heroine" or is it a sequel to a specific route?
  14. I myself most often consider that I finished a VN after I read all the routes but I rarely read a bad endings and dead endings (Unless when I accidentally get them) with exception when a bad ending is a true ending for a route. I newer consider that I finished a VN until I finish all routes but oppositely I do sometimes do go for complete 100% and don't consider a VN finished until I get it like for example in Kamidori that has a lot of side stories that you won't get if you just finish all the routes. But when I just started reading a VNs I considered that I finished a VN when I read all the routes I am interested in.
  15. If you want an light comedy story about friendship with supernatural elements then LB!, if you want Action x Romance story with some slice of life then Rewrite. Personally I think that Rewrite is a lot better of the two.
  16. Thanks, true beside the two that you pointed out in chart topic and the ones that are already on my list others seem to be nukiges.
  17. That's right a first fan-translation was in 2001. You are right they are missing, I will add them to the list and update a chart later, I'l probably also make those separate charts in next few days. If you notice any more titles that are missing please let me know in this thread.
  18. I am not completely sure I understand what you are asking for but if I am not wrong you want to know with VN was released in witch year by whom? If that is a case the best place to do that would be my "Complete list of ALL English translated VNs".
  19. Well I guess because there are a lot of characters that act perverted while they are infect not and it's only act or joke and if it gets more serous they get scared and back down, so character on other side of this sometimes jokes/gives empty threat in order to tell that character to back down. That said I don't think that it is that common.
  20. So I was interested in knowing how much has translation of VNs increased with time and I had done some research and now I decided to make a chart and to share it here so everyone can see. (Only fully translated VNs are included in a chart, nukiges aren't included in a chart). And here are separated charts for fan-translated and officially localized VNs (VNs that ware fan-translated and later localized aren't included in localized chart)
  21. Those figures are some nice things, if I had a budget to buy them I would spend my money on them too.
