  1. Great review, convinced me to have a crack at this one. I'm intrigued by it being a non-cliché slice-of-life in particular, and the art looks awesome
  2. Dude, YES. Probably the best album from 2014, absolutely beautiful stuff. The only thing I will say is if it doesn't immediately grab you... It doesn't work that way, at least not for me. Give it a few chances, and its charm is absolutely undeniable.
  3. I tried to watch the stream but my connection is far too bad for it to be worthwhile However, I managed to catch a few horribly jerky moments of what I think was Alice being drawn, so it's cool to see where that fits into the cover art! Love the work done on the dress in particular.
  4. If you like Sufjan Stevens and that sort of thing, I cannot recommend Ben Howard enough, particularly his latest album. Keaton Henson too. If you haven't heard them already, that is... I also recommend Brand New if you're not familiar, they're kinda pop-punk but they have a real emotional draw (The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me is my favourite). If you like them, then check Captain We're Sinking's 'The Future Is Cancelled'. There are several, in fact. Rate Your Music is probably the best one as it's an utterly comprehensive library - down to some really obscure stuff. I use Sputnikmusic cos I'm a fairly active member of the community there, but RYM is pretty much objectively better if you're looking at music cataloguing.
  5. Please be joking, please be joking, please be joking... Like, if you like hair, that's cool (in fact it might be more flattering to somebody for you to like their hair, particularly if they put effort into making it look nice, keeping it healthy etc... or I could be wrong ). If you like saliva, or feet, or eyes, or for that matter anything fairly unobtrusive, I guess that's cool too. But stalking is a special kind of not okay, particularly if you're consciously doing so. Of course, if you're joking, then feel free to call me a tit
  6. Letting go of Tsumiki was tough, but I'm sure she'll be back. Heterochromia is besterochromia/10
  7. It's different, and looks pretty damn cool for it. 8.5/10
  8. I've just learnt how to Fuwa, I need a few minutes to adjust! A truly commendable effort worthy of Sachi herself
  9. I fell for this hook line and sinker. Nicely done \ / In the event of an automated system being created, as Kaguya noted there would be the issue of potentially people ganging together to 'kick' someone, effectively. Could there be some kind of overriding moderator authority which, if these 'triggers' are tripped, could verify real quick? Or is this not how it (hypothetically) works?
  10. I'm at my parents' at the moment, and in total this is gonna take ~18/19 hours to download in full, assuming there's no phone calls (they knock the phone out, which is excellent -_-) Probably gonna have to run one section per night and do it that way, cos like hell am I waiting nearly 3 weeks to go back to my student house (though there I could download it all in about 1 hour and a bit) Hyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyype
  11. @ArcadeoticIt's quite impressive that I have this many posts and my Fuwa game is so weak, I think EDIT: AWWWWWWWWWWW YEAH IT WORKED
  12. Exactly Degenerates, spoiling the pristine moral integrity of Fuwanovel! Confession: I thought giving someone a 'mention' using the @ symbol was easy. 3 tries later, and I think I'm just gonna give up
  13. In @hsmsful 's defence, I can definitely appreciate really nice hair, so I don't think fetishizing it could be a million miles off... Just don't get caught, yeah?
  14. Yeah, I do too. Tried watching someone playing Amnesia for a bit and they soldiered on fine; went to make a cup of tea as an excuse to get out of there. Just a bit of a wuss tbh. I smell a new VN...
  15. That's actually quite a good way of looking at it. It might be a bit more, uncomfortable, perhaps, if they did things in the older, more 'personal' style. I'll bear that in mind.
  16. I'm not so much excited than I am intrigued, but I am pretty likely to play this all the same. HuniePop surprised me with how much fun it was, and even with the art style change (which in my humble opinion sucks) I reckon this could surprise me again. Another one to explain to awkwardly explain to Steam friends as to why I've bought it...
  17. So it basically works how Bandcamp works with name-your-price releases? While I have no experience of this (yet, but I will check it out), if it works anything like Bandcamp does it's a fantastic idea, particularly for budding developers trying to make a name for themselves. Sounds awesome!
  18. From the manga I've read, a lot of it seems to be the infamous black line, or the 'region' is totally whited out. I doubt that the latter would work particularly well in the glorious technicolour of visual novels, so blacklining that shit would have been what I've have said. Yours is definitely a better idea though. As for dick drawing (something I'm so pleased I've been able to say on a forum ) and censorship... It's weird, but whenever I see an uncensored scene in a VN nowadays, it normally features me hiding behind a chair and throwing gifts of appeasement to the noonie goods is quite jarring, to be honest. It sounds daft, but for myself the censorship is an important part of the experience.
  19. I actually liked the monotony of it - I thought it fit the situation in that sense (in the least negative way possible). But I'll admit your sentiment is understandable.
  20. It's been over two years now since I played Katawa Shoujo last, but Wiosna still hits me in the loolies: Also, Scab from the Grisaia soundtrack I find is particularly effective (notably in Amane's 'cutaway' section). Unfortunately this rip sounds like total arse, but it's the only one I could find:
  21. I actually really like the sprite style used here, looks... I dunno... softer(?) than the style used a lot nowadays. I will admit that background is complete arse though.
  22. 'Aksys said it will announce a release date for the Steam launch later this year. Windows PC ports of the previous installments in the series, 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors and Virtue's Last Reward, are not currently in the works, however.' It's getting to the stage where I'm considering purchasing a DS for the express purpose of playing 999. Pretty confident it'll be money well spent too. Either way, this looks really cool, and I love that artwork. I doubt it'll be worth/wise to go through it without having done at least 999 beforehand however... I'm open to being told otherwise though
