I assume when you say tearing you mean the (very few) movies in it? Just as a guess, try toggling overlay in movie settings if you haven't already.

I enjoyed it. Fuck you all.

So I marathoned Nisekoi. Yes I know there's a thread for it by itself but this seemed more appropriate here since everyone on that thread seems to hate it now. I rarely read manga these days but I fell for this series from the TV anime series. It killed me that I couldn't see how the story went yet I absolutely refused to start reading the manga before it was finished. I kept hoping for news of a 3rd season or more that would end concurrently with the manga (like they did with FMAB) but alas that didn't happen so reading the manga was the obvious choice once it was completed. It took me almost 2 and a half days to read through it all from start to finish (with other regular daily commitments) which is the longest stretch I've ever marathoned a manga ever. It was 95% as I predicted it would be but by the same token it was thoroughly enjoyable at all times in its execution of said predictable plot and I couldn't stop grinning like a fool half the time. I'm so glad I didn't start reading before it was finished as the suspense would have killed me. It reminded me an awful lot of the first time I read Love Hina and it was very obvious it was paying homage to it in many ways. For those purists who always complain about the anime, I still think season 1 is an exceptional rendition of what's in the manga and even though season 2 just picked and chose from the chapters that had already been written so far rather than try to stick linearly to the plot, each of those anime episodes were also excellent renditions of the chapters as they are in the manga and their selection of chapters to use worked in animated form IMO. Even though I know all the story now, if a final/next season was to be animated, I would religiously watch it and likely enjoy it more than almost all other new anime coming out if it's done with the same production qualities and cast. Knowing the on-screen version and voice actors before the manga helped flesh out the characters in my head as I read the manga version, giving them voice and more motion in my head. I also feel a sense of relief knowing no one can spoil it for me. That may have been my greatest motivator in reading it.

AmagamiSS Brighter than the dawning blue Chivalry of a Failed Knight Chobits Cross Game Eureka 7 Golden Time Itazura na Kiss Kaichou wa maid sama Karin Kobato Lovely Complex A Lull in the Sea Maison Ikkoku Maria the Virgin Witch My Bride is a Mermaid My Love Story Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu Planetes Please Teacher Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo Snow White with Red Hair ToraDora Wagnaria!! Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches Zero no Tsukaima Trimmed my ultimately satisfying ending list with series where romance predominates. None of these have bad endings or unresolved romance/harems. All of these I rate 7/10 or better. There are numerous other romances too but this is my best selection (in my opinion) that I've watched.

It definitely had impact, but what hit me most was -

True love was legendary indeed. It got me into VNs even if it was a hybrid. Here's a walkthrough. http://www.gamefaqs.com/pc/581171-true-love-95/faqs/11017 And I played it again only last year to bring back the memories and don't recall anything gay in it then. You can play it on the site I linked above (though I still have the binaries.) -

As I said in the other thread, there is no gay route in True Love. Was it one on here: http://tss.asenheim.org/ -
Was it hard for you to move on after Katawa Shoujo?
ittaku replied to Nuka's topic in Visual Novel Talk
There was no gay route in true love. It was the dating sim with stats you had to power up where you could successfully get all the girls in one playthrough if done right (and it was legendary and my first VN.) -

If you're having trouble moving on from heroines in VNs after the story is over it's because you haven't fapped to them. -

Did I miss where you told us what this sentence was? -
Acchi Kocchi remained cute to the end and was very good at narcotising me if I watched it late at night, making it easy for me to go to bed. The lack of any sort of character development or romantic progression is annoying enough to make me glad it was only 12 episodes long. Just finished watching "Karin" as a romcom. It was decent enough and had a very satisfying ending making me add it to my ultimately satisfying ending list. I didn't find it hilarious or anything but at least the situation comedy almost never relied on standard romantic tropes. Now going to try and watch Welcome to the NHK followed by Kimi ni Todoke.

Which anime released in the past decade will become classics?

My bad then, for I was pulling shit out of my arse when talking about DBZ since I know zero about the manga and the anime(s). -

Can't really compare FMA/FMAB to DBZ. One is based on a manga that had a planned complete storyline and only FMAB portrayed the entire storyline. Yes you can logic your way out of anything but FMAB is legendary. As far as I can see, only nostalgia made people like the first incarnation of FMA. To me there was no comparison though. /opinion -

Both of these are over 10 years old (Sakura being almost 20). -
10 Official Localized Visual Novel at 2000's
ittaku replied to littleshogun's topic in Recommendations
There's some pretty meh VNs in there. Is this a list of the only 10 VNs you know from that era? There's quite a few I wouldn't recommend there. Echoing what Tyrosyn said about some in particular, Private nurse was boring as batshit, Figures of Happiness was awful, Snow Sakura was subpar and Family Project was uninteresting. -

Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood was 2009-2010 and is already the highest rated show ever on ANN. No doubt it will remain a classic. -
Rewrite Anime Discussion [Rewritten Fuwa Version]

Don't have much hope left for this. -
Finished Itazura na Kiss (as mentioned elsewhere). It was good simple romcom fun. Finished Dragonar Academy. When it took itself seriously it wasn't that great but luckily it didn't really do that that much. It was fun when it was light hearted and not taking itself seriously (like most of the time) and had tons of nipple fanservice, especially for those in for loli action. It also had a very satisfying ending. Watching Karin next.

Why do lots of VNs still run at such low resolutions?
ittaku replied to Barktooth's topic in Visual Novel Talk
It's not the 600p CGs that bother me so much as the 60p mosaics. -
Added Itazura na Kiss to my list.

Well that sounds both like a spoiler and an ominous title. Wading from scratch again would suck... but then so many dead would suck a heck of a lot more.
