Heh, the good old 'your opinion is wrong' though we actually agree on one of the shows if you looked more carefully. Yes a good VA can make any show significantly better, but either way Warau simply didn't really align with my taste.

Of the stuff I've watched (and or dropped): Alice to Zouroku - pleasant enough to watch, not exciting Warau Salesman - shit Frame Arms Girl - shit Rokudenashi Majutsu - shit Oushitsu Kyoushi - decent but too strong BL overtones for my liking Busou Shoujo - shit Sagrada Reset - fair but boring Sakura Quest - pleasant and harmless Tsuki ga Kirei - pleasant but slow Saekano flat - very good Clockwork Planet - shit Renai Boukun - shit Hinako Note - pleasant and harmless Twin Angel Break - shit Seikaisuru kado - decent Shingeki 2 - very good Granblue fantasy - fair Littlewitch (cont) - very good Nobunaga no shinobi (cont) - very good Sekai no yami - terrible Love Kome - terrible Gin no guardian - fair Still a few hopefuls but so far the only things worth watching are sequels or continuations. Meh. EDIT: Finally some decent stuff! Eromanga sensei - good Re-creators - very(?) good

I'm looking forward to more dungeon, AoT and Saekano. Beyond that granblue was so generic and bland with its first two episodes I'd be hard pressed to bother watching any more. First episode of Alice to Zouroku was charming enough for me to look forward to more. Still watching Little witch academia which is ongoing and the rest are all gambles based on what I can read. So far I've watched the first episode of pretty much everything that's aired and everything besides AoT has been meh :\

Oh hey someone's playing the same thing I am. Love the relatively H heavy storylines and their storytelling of sexual tension, though it's actually a bit milder in this than some of their other games. H'ing all the girls as part of the common route was a refreshing change. The secret box that you unlock extra H scenes is most welcome, bringing other beautiful babes into the H'able category. I think my favourite ended up being Tomoe. There's also a fandisk but you should also play sarasarasasara first after Prima since it's a fandisk of both PrimaStella and Sara*. Sorry can't help you on the full screen front since I'm playing it on linux, though I do usually set my screen to a 4:3 resolution before setting it to fullscreen myself which seems to help.

I don't think I've despised April fools as much as I have this year. It's gone beyond not being funny, I'm actually offended by quite a few of the April fools jokes.

Well said. I kept expecting to be disappointed so I could drop GD but instead I found myself laughing out loud. And as for the subtitles, you are spot on; this is one of the best localisations in anime I can recall. There is a LOT of artistic license in their approach to translation but in terms of capturing nuance while writing something completely different from the original Japanese, this has been sensational.

One thing that no one can argue against - move to Japan for a period. Definitely the fastest way to accelerate your Japanese unless you manage to socially isolate yourself while there.

Accept that what you are doing is considered fringe. There is no need to force yourself to try and prove you're proud of it for regardless of what you think, and what others on this forum think, you will be shunned by people for what you do. You cannot convince them that there's nothing wrong with what you do much like others have said about watching porn. Consider it the same way yourself - know that there are billions of people who watch or who have watched porn yet would never admit it in public, nor discuss it as a casual topic, nor try defending it. The difference is that eroge IS fringe outside of Japan, and in Japan it's treated the same way as porn is for the west. There is no need to treat your hobby with some kind of 'gay pride' like behaviour. Unless you want to be a crusader at trying to convince the public that what you're doing is an extension of normality, it will just end up costing you. One must partition different parts of your life and social circles - what would you gain by telling people who don't understand and have no intention of understanding? Unless they were open to the idea in the first place, you'll just end up alienating people. There will be open minded people who understand and accept it but unless you know them well enough to know they are, you should just assume they won't - and it sounds like you already know that which is why you're seeking opinions here. There is also no need to do this by your lonely self as there is a community out there you can share your love of this art form - you've found one right here.

Added Twin Star Exorcists - Sousei no Onmyouji. A flawed show that had lots of ups and downs but when it hit the right notes (especially on the romance front) it was very good and of course satisfied the requirements to make this list.

According to their obscenity laws, pubic hair is considered obscene. Early VNs had pubic hair that was censored along with the genitals but later on they started removing them entirely to make it easier to stick to their obscenity laws and pixelate less of the picture. With time it became commonplace and routine to not draw any pubic hair at all and so it's often the exception to see pubic hair at all now. The reason you see more pubic hair without pixelation in hentai doujins and the like is that the artists there are usually much lower profile than a big game manufacturer and they just put in a token gesture to obey the obscenity laws with usually a little black or white line instead. As there is no actual hard definition of what is considered obscene, it means it's up to the studios and artists to decide how much to censor and how so as to not draw attention to their work by the police. Ultimately the punishment for breaking obscenity laws is very harsh so most err on the side of very conservative with heavy pixelation; the bigger the studio the worse the censorship often. There is talk of Japan eventually moving away from its censorship (which we all know is crazy in this internet world) by 2050... by that time I'll be 80 and I'm not holding my breath waiting for it. As for the loli aspect, that's secondary IMO with most portrayed characters being high teens. Japan has not yet become a bald brazilian haven like other parts of the world. Bush is still the norm with real people, so it's not them trying to accurately portray the public pubic.

Well Masamune kun was always average, but somehow they managed to make it fall below average with their completely underwhelming ending. I can't even tell if that was meant to be final somehow, hint at a second season, or a sign we should go off and read the manga if we care to find out what actually happens or what. Sure there are better shows to talk about this season but I'm impressed at how one can make a final episode that is so non-descript. Apart from the first part of the episode, the rest was almost filler material from a midway episode. EDIT: Well I was supposed to come down hard on Seiren for being so meh till the end but instead they had one very good arc at the end and absolutely nailed the ending.

Already looking forward to season 2 of Shingeki, Saekano, Dungeon, and Nobunaga and the continuation of Little Witch, along with the haifuri and brave witches OVAs as far as existing series go. Boku no hero did nothing for me so no interest in S2. Of the new stuff nothing looks particularly exciting; maybe eromanga sensei for nonsense (implied incestuous) romcom.
