I was really wanting Xrd, but I don't think i'll be able to pick it up for a while. But I have hype for Melty Blood, hopefully it comes on Steam soon. In the meantime, i'm having a ton of fun with Persona 4 Arena.

I generally like to play rushdown characters, like Makoto in USF4. Never really cared for shoto's, just too boring for me personally. I also absolutely suck with charge characters, because I cannot for the life of me charge buffer consistently on a controller. Grapplers and zoning characters are also really fun too, though grapplers generally have some pretty wonky inputs that I have trouble doing on a controller.

I just got a PS3 again (it's broken, so I have to return it for another one though q.q), and along with it I got P4 Arena Ultimax and Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax. I plan on getting Blazblue and Guilty Gear Xrd at some point, and I also have MvC2 on here

Looks fun, but i'm going pass. I don't feel like making a new account, downloading a whole separate game client, and downloading a bunch of other stuff just to play it. I don't know why they couldn't just put it on steam, or as a standalone game without the client.

Can you point me to whichever Messenger of Magic you made a contract with to obtain that reading speed?

I don't know, if you ask me, that's a pretty accurate representation of how much content is over there.

From what one of the editors said on Steam, apparently their censorship is limited pretty much only to pictures - text is almost unaltered and the sex still remains in the story (it just isn't explicitly shown), so the plot shouldn't be affected. At least that's what he claims. And yeah, the poor job at cropping is AkabeiSoft's fault, not Sekai's.
But... so what? It doesn't change the fact it's a cut version with not-that-great, cropped "HD". And since AkabeiSoft only made an all-ages "HD" version (so - no "HD" H-CGs), the chances for an English 18+ release are very slim. Buying it does NOT support "releasing VNs on the West". It supports the practice of releasing ONLY censored, Steam-DRM-ridden versions of originally 18+ VNs with no choice whatsoever. Because why bother with uncut releases, when people will buy whatever you throw at them anyway?

As far as I've heard, they just used the fan TL and fixed a few minor errors, but also introduced a few new minor grammatical errors in the process.  Heard that from the editor of the fan TL, who posted a review on Steam.  Basically, it's pretty much the same translation, so that's not really a factor.
If you ask my opinion, I'd say that the original version is better, but I'm a "purist" in the sense that I prefer the 18+, unaltered version if it exists, and I get really irritated when that's not an option.  If Sekai Project provided an 18+ version with unaltered CGs, I'd buy it, but until then, tough shit, they aren't getting a cent from me.  Obviously, I'm a little bitter about the whole thing.

I'm not too surprised, he looked extremely good. I just want to know how his limit break system works. Actually, i'd be surprised if he wasn't OP as all hell, you don't put Cloud in smash and make him crap 

I recommend Tenchu 2 for the PS1. I got it as part of a box of games when I got my first console, and it was actually pretty great.  

I've always been curious about this, but haven't ever actually brought it up to anyone. Ever since I was a kid, I've always liked Japanese music just as much, if not more (in some cases) than English music. I think it really started with FMA's second opening, "Ready Steady Go". I mean, I liked other songs before that, but I think that's where I really started to get into it. Maybe it's because it's another language, and that in and of itself was fascinating to me as a kid, and it just stuck with me all these years? Or would it be weird to say that I can still feel the emotions put into the songs, despite not understanding what they are actually saying? It's really making me want to learn the language, and I think it would be the biggest source of my motivation, even more so than VN's. I think being able to understand a whole 'nother cultures massive library of music would be more amazing than anything I could ever read or watch.

well me neither but maybe is because i'm just tired of the multiplayer fps :/ the truth is they sell really well so I don't know, maybe the market is not aimed at guys like us

Really? This is what sells the system to you? Not the FF 7 remake? No Mans Sky? Bloodborne? FF XV? 

Something that really gets under my skin with SP is how they put basically no work into 80% of their releases, instead they just take a previous fan translation, maybe change the CG's like they did with G-Senjou, censor it, and then put it up for sale. I know that they have every right to take the fan TL's and use them for their releases, but the fact that they are taking all these fan TL groups hard work and using it to make a profit just bothers me on a moral level. Of course they do don't this with absolutely everything, see..Clannad (which I still don't know how they haven't finished it yet, are they in an endless circlejerk or something?).
