I have had similar thoughts, although not exactly the same. I don't really consider working in porn a "bad end", sure it may be for some, but I just see it as another job with a unique set of perks and disadvantages. I do wonder how working in this industry affects the "normal" parts of daily life. Like how much of the "equipment" can be written off as work expense in their taxes?

Honestly I have never seen Fuwanovel as anything other than a place to loiter around with people that have similar interests in a niche hobby. I don't really like the idea that Fuwanovel needs a concrete specific "purpose", having a specific goal will at some degree limit who would want to join the community by adding another qualifier. To be a member of the community you have to be a fan of visual novels and actively champion this "purpose". Sure, it might create a small group of fanatical individuals, but I don't think it would draw in a large crowd. We are talking about a niche entertainment medium, not a civil rights movement. Visual novels have become as popular as they will ever be in the west, at least for the next century. There is zero chance that we would see hard copies of MuvLuv sold next to COD at the local Walmart without a huge culture shift the likes the world has never seen. Having a decent handful of localizers publishing the biggest titles with some random extras, is the best we could have hoped for.

I was in a co-ed high school in the middle of Kansas, in which all the teachers were either late forties and above or grizzled ex-military dudes......... now that I think about it, I don't think my metaphor would work with my former female classmates either.

Are you saying that you were sexually attracted to many teachers in your high school days or are you saying that the "sexy teacher" is an outlier fetish? Granted my tastes are quite deviant when compared to conventional fetishes, but I had thought that the "sexy teacher" was a common theme in porn and trashy romance novels.

- Chaos Child: Pretty much every route aside from the initial glorious common route. Hinae and Nono's route were pretty decent, but the routes overall felt unnecessary and stitched on and didn't add much to the storytelling experience. - Rewrite: Shizuru's route was just awkward, yes one could say that about the entirety of this vn, but it felt like this route focused allot more on how Kotaru was a fuck up and less on their relationship. - Konosora: Ageha's route is the only case that I can think of in which the best girl in the game, was turned into the worst girl due to their route. She was just unnecessarily bitchy in her route, a contrast to the easy going personality she exhibited in the rest of the game.

Considering the team behind Nier has some very eccentric individuals, it is very hard to guess what they could be referring to. The situation kinda reminds me of the Pendant starting gift in Dark Souls.

You know, I'm not upset that I spent over a hundred dollars to try and get a Nero Bride and failed. I am upset that I feel like it was still worth it because I got a Carmilla, this game really fucks with your personal idea of monetary value.

Yup, apparently the standalone episodes are much better and the season premiere that focuses on the main story was the weakest link. So hopefully it gets better.

Finished the main story today, and I quite enjoyed it..... although I think I have a newfound understanding for the people who disliked the Michiru route. There is some goofy ass b-movie shit going on.

Well I think I found a phone that matches my price range, but I still have some worries. The FGO official page lists the requirement as 2GB of ram, now is that actual ram or listed ram? The phone I'm looking at has 2GB listed ram, but actual ram is closer to 1.8GB. Is that high enough to play the game without constant crashing? I don't care if the frame rate drops every once and awhile.

Anyone know any good cricket phones that are under a hundred bucks? I think I'm finally sick of the game crashing every other minute.

Illusion?!?! Rapelay Illusion?!?! Maybe I was mistaken, but I thought Illusion was kinda traumatized by that whole debacle and didn't want to distribute games outside of Japan. Hell though, if this means I can get a legitimate localized version of Artificial Academy 2 sometime in the future I might even forgive Fakku for removing some of my favorite tags on their site.

“we think this novel’s core audience is pedophiles” - Valve Wow what a very professional and researched reason for removing the game. If they could point to a specific problematic scene within the game that would be one thing, but I think we all know that Valve employees don't touch 99% of their bot run storefront. It's just very bizarre that valve randomly decided to step in with a visual novel that has never had any sexually explicit scenes and no community outrage. Looking into it a bit more it does seem a bit more understandable when you see that description of the protagonist. "He has a severe case of Lolita complex and has even gone as far as to set up hidden cameras in the school bathrooms". I'm still not convinced that this is reasonable, but in western society in which protecting hypothetical children is much more important than protecting actual children, I can see why valve took the game off the storefront. I doubt steam would go that far, the reason why the storefront has gone to shit was visual novels. They essentially said that they have no idea why people buy visual novels, so they are scared to do any curation for fear of taking down stuff that might sell.

Huh, I'm curious how this will look. If it isn't 100% cynical and some actual effort is put in, I may be into it. I'm hoping for 70% cynicism at most.

God Fate/Apocrypha is such a frustrating watch for me. I like the initial concept and I enjoy the majority of servants, but the execution is fucking awful. The structure and pacing of the plot is all over the place, it feels like a visual novel with five different routes smashed together into a single narrative. There are some great moments sprinkled here and there, but there are some godawful turds as well that are massive groaners and many plot points that just don't make any sense. I think the largest poison of the show is Sieg and the decision to incorporate a human "host" for Ruler. Sieg is such an annoying fucking protagonist that is only inserted into the plot so the author can talk down to the audience about how complicated and difficult life is, HEY FUCKWAD I live in reality I don't need you telling me how complicated it is! In this story about personalities from all through time, I don't give a flying fuck about someones journey to find a personality. I want more moments with the servants working off each other, their own unique perspectives challenging each other and changing in accordance to these conflicts. Speaking of servants, what was the point of giving Joan a human host? To put up a lame excuse to involve a romance? Fuck you Yuichiro Higashide. I suppose I should be grateful that he set up the pretense so Rin and Sakura could be awkwardly shoehorned in Fate Grand Order. Apocrypha feels like decent fanfiction, there are some enjoyable moments, but the story doesn't deserve any actual money.
