  1. Confession: I'm almost the exact same way. I don't interact with people unless forced too, and when we finally interact past a certain point I get clingy. I'm just antisocial.
  2. False. Somehow I feel the need to comment that I probably would as long as it's not a cute girl I might want to hit on . This probably says a lot about me. Next person wears socks indoors.
  3. False. I used it one time for curiosity's sake when doing a paper for college. Never again. The only thing it was useful for was locating pictures accurately. Next person is subscribed to more than 50 youtube channels.
  4. Slay the ponie with the English longsword I have in my room. I declare the sentence to be beheading.
  5. False, my laptop HDD is only 500gb but has held more than 10TB of data so far. Next person is using a computer that was built for dedicated playing of video games.
  6. I would be all willing to help, but I don't have the necessary skillset It's one of the things I intend to get around doing when I'm finally out of my lazy slump. Unfortunately, DAL 7 on BT just finished, so that's my plans for today.
  7. I'd assume the entire show for something under $100. I mean, holy crap, have you seen how much they charge for a bluray series now? For two episodes its something absurd like $20, meaning an entire cour is something like $140 with a full two cour show being around $300.
  8. My body physically rejects them. When I ate veggie casserole to save face a few months ago, the first bite almost made me vomit, with subsequent bites just making my tongue numb. Also, considering I probably only eat one meal a day in the form of dinner, I'm never going to need a diet :3
  9. Yolo, theres a first for everything, I'll go in for Cycle 5 if possible. It's been awhile since I've seen Kore Wa and Nanoha, with the other two current recommendations being completely new, but I remember enjoying Kore Wa more than Nanoha though. It's not a genre I'm well versed in, so I look forward to whatever happens to be picked.
  10. I would have stopped, but you keep agging me on x.x So you are saying its the type of writing that makes it a novel? If I were to take the script of any typical visual novel and cut it, it would look more or less like a play, and this holds true for both Fire Emblem and Kamidori. If you were to start comparing the places they appear in, the map overview in FE is like the story text that you get in the beginning each of the chapters of Kamidori, the prebattle banter is effectively the same in both games, and the support conversations in FE are equatable to the heroine romancing you get in Kamidori. Overall, the systems are pretty standard, and I'm still failing to see where you are making the distinction between them. The amount of text shouldn't be it; if you ignore the heroine romancing and the support conversation, using only the core story, FE probably has a longer script.
  11. Fire Emblem DOES tell the narrative with novel sections just like Kamidori, except that its a third person omniscient narrator instead of first person. Also, number 3 is only the defining characteristic between a kinetic novel and interactive novel, and thus shouldn't be considered. EDIT: Some more evidence that you can't just write Fire Emblem off as not doing novel telling:
  12. Again, I haven't played either of the series, nor have I played Rance, but the fact that they have gameplay, to me, immediately declassifies it as a novel. Baldr I can't comment, as I've never played, refer to above. Eushelly isn't VN, Kamidori is an SRPG with hentai, and most of their other games are just that, games with hentai added on. I don't classify them as novels. The only difference between Kamidori and Fire Emblem for example is the fact that Kamidori has hentai, but you don;t see people toting Fire Emblem as a visual novel. I'm really stringent on my terminology
  13. Sorry, but from what I've heard, isn't BlazBlue basically a fighting game first and foremost like Mortal Kombat or Tekken? Even if it has text stringing together a story, I can't call that a visual novel, that's a fighting game with a story. Persona Arena definitely falls into this category as well. The gamebooks I'm on the fence about on a logical level, but as a personal preference, because they aren't purely text based, I can't call them novels, thus I don't consider them as true VN's. The thing that really got me about this list was this: It was almost as if he is featuring it as a significant portion and aspect of the games. Any time I see this crap, I immediately think that the author has an agenda or at least a checklist they are checking off. I find it insulting as I could care less about any relationships as long as the story is interesting (though I can say that I'm not into any male x male relationships as a focus). All in all, the first page was OK at best with the second page turning into a trainwreck. TL;DR I don't classify anything with actual gameplay elements a novel, but rather a game with a text based story.
  14. False for all intents and purposes, but they probably exist. I find religion and ghosts much more relevant due to entertainment value. Next person has read any of the Germanic Poems in original form.
  15. Hanayamata OP~ Iroha ni ho paato paato hareyaka ni (HAI~) sakasemashou hana no you ni (HAI HAI~) Such a wonderful earworm. It might be one of the first shows I watched simply because the moeblob was too good. I also blame my like for shojo ai, because yuri is love, yuri is life.
  16. Disclaimed: I just started learning cooking recently, so... it still looks quite messy, haha... Would eat minus veggies, because I don't do plants. I still haven't come up with a term for my diet, maybe anherbivorous?
  17. According to MAL it is the same artist. Even though the artist is the same, because it's not translated, I can't vouch for it being any good like HakoMaria, though the radio drama with Yuki Kajiura in it leads me to believe it probably has some sort of budget behind it. I'm hopeful, and I look forward to another Kajiura OST from this show EDIT: Holy crap, I totally misread those names
  18. Confession: Nano might be the singular reason I still have faith that modern lyricists can write good songs.
  19. I can only think of this one describing my life thus far. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ROxkJoIhr6o
  20. I always try to get into this mindset to laugh at the meaningless melodrama but I can never seem to do it and it always ends up being cringy instead. Confession: I might be having peanut butter saltine crackers for dinner way too often.
  21. GC had all it needed, but it failed its execution magnificently. They basically spent all their money on everything but the plot. The one thing I can say that was good that came from it would be Supercell being formed with Chelly as the vocalist.
  22. Honestly, I'd rather see the Touma V Accelerator, round 3 XD
