  1. Earl and Fairy - What I know is that the anime is about a fairy doctor Lydia was hired by cool noble Edgar because he need someone with the knowledge about fairy, and it's more or less romance anime with the focus on single main couple. I know about this when my favorite Precure reviewer mention this in one of her HCPC review, thanks to Toei feature the main casts VAs of this (Nana Mizuki as Lydia and Midorikawa Hikaru as Edgar) in HCPC. ef 2 - At least the writer didn't change the personality for the heroines like what he did to Kei and Miyako in the first ef, although I doubt that I would like to check whether what I say is true or not. Black Butler - I assume that this anime is quite popular, so much that most of butler characters in the anime are called Sebastian. That aside, let's just say that this anime is popular across gender because a number of reason, be it cool battle or perhaps the romance story. Girl from Hell 3 - It's more or less about on how Enma Ai solve the problem that happen in the last season ending by using Yuzuki's body, and of course there's still some Client of the Week who in need to get even with the one who harass them by sending the harasser to hell. Master of Martial Heart - The last episode has some good ending, although whether the author planned it because of his twisted idea or have the fight with the higher up I don't know. Chaos Head - Compared to Steins Gate, Chaos Head anime is definitely has shorter number of episodes, so it's understandably that they need to cut some events so that it can fit 12 episodes slot. At least it's interesting to note Steins Gate always overshadow Chaos Head in both VN and anime. I also should mention that it might be fit to call Chaos Head (And the rest of Science Adventure) as chuunige if we based it on how Okabe dreaming about conspiracy, and not to mention that Chiyomaru himself like to imagine conspiration so much that he created Committee of 300 only to underutilize it in his works. Akane iro Somaru Saka - It's one of feng VN that Sekai manage to get the license of it, which is quite unfortunate because it mean that it'll be hard to see it released in the near future. Other than that, well there are much more nice translated VN that has similar premise as this VN. For the anime itself, I suppose I can say that it's faithful although then again I didn't watch it. Casshern Sin - The remake of old Casshern anime, and there's one notable twist happen in the series. Nodame Cantabile Paris - I only glance it for one episode in Animax, and I remember the lyric for the ending song (Tokyo et Pari, Pari et Tokyo). Clannad After Story - Arguably the most well received Kyoani anime, especially with them faithfully adapted the after story section of Clannad and expand it. As for whether it's sad or not, I suppose it depend on each person (Or as someone said, whether you experienced similar situation like Tomoya or not). I should also note that there's some controversy on how Kyoani did adapt the ending, which to be fair it's quite hard to do properly if one remember that you need to restart from a certain section in the game after you get all of the orbs in order to get the true ending. Forgot to mention that while the opening song is not in the game, it still very good. Index - The start of To Aru franchise (Translated as 'A Certain' in English), and of course the start of Kamijou Touma who will keep having hard fight with his weapon is his anti magic in his right hand. I can see on why it become popular, although seeing that there's a number of the spin off I gave up on following it. Toradora - This is definitely not usual romance anime, especially because each of the girls have their own flaw and depth beneath their appearance, which of course also apply to the premise in the story in that it started with the MC Ryuuji tried to play cupid between his friends before realizing his own feeling (And his real crush). Toradora also has translated VN for PSP that provide alternative ending for Ryuuji, which from what I see might be one of the more well known one (For VN that adapt the anime series). That's all for what I can write in regard of Fall 2008 anime here.
  2. Now that we finally have full translation patch for it, I should say congratulation to the release. That said, even with new contents that Nasu has been cooked (Particularly in Ciel's route), I doubt that I'll play this, seeing that I didn't own Switch while my own laptop can't handle Switch emulator smoothly (I knew because I tried to play Mahoyo on it). Anyway, if you've been playing this whether by using console or emulator, then I hope that you'll have fun.
  3. Because we have Tsukihime -A piece of blue glass moon- release with Nasu as the writer already have Fate as his most famous franchise, I figure may as well add 'Fate' in the title along with 'Twilight' (Because it's has vampire with Tsukihime also has it) and change 'Blue' into 'Cerulean' (The synonym of blue, and it's because Nekonyan announced Cerulean Day), so we have 'Fate/Twilight Night -Cerulean Glass Moon-' as the title. Anyway as for this week, I can definitely say that it's more interesting compared to the last week, especially with Tsukihime Remake Part 1 translation patch release. While the main highlight is obviously Tsukihime Remake, we also has several other updates, with the most prominent one is that Clover Days passed Steam review (Yes you didn't read it wrong). Overall, like I say beforehand this week is an interesting one, and let's see what I can write in regard of it. Cabbit announce their newest VN (Kagi o Kakushita Kago no Tori) in English, and you can try the trial in the Steam store of it. What I can say is while Cabbit has some VNs with interesting premise (Including this), it's quite unfortunate that they can't just trust other companies to handle their non-nukige VN, especially because it mean that they'll cut the sex scene. Ultimately, it's not like there's no much interesting VN that are or about to be translated anyway, and if anything else at least Cabbit didn't work together with SakuraGame again. Craftwork delayed Geminism release to September 29th later, which mean they probably has more work left that they're initially thought. Aksys released Jack Jeanne, and from all of their releases it's the only their otome VN that didn't produced by Idea Factory, but instead it's worked on by Broccoli (Galaxy Angel developer). What I know is that the MC attended the school for theater acting, she need to hide her identity as girl because the school is all male school, and it's only available in Switch. Go get it if you've been interested with it and had Switch. PQube announced Konosuba VN, and it has dress up game with the casts (The female main casts) personality reversed because of a curse, so you'll get sadistic Darkness, Megumin embracing her role as lolita, and Aqua act like the proper goddess. Unlike Jack Jeanne, at least PQube also announced the PC version of Konosuba VN. Frontwing announced that they'll release Aikagi After Days in this year, which from what I can gather it's about the after story of first Aikagi with the MC and the heroine will have a lot of fun in summer. Sekai did have several updates, with them about to release Imouto no Seiiki on 26th later along with had Sheol engine work is 80% done. We have Clover Days passed Steam review, and once again you didn't read it wrong, because Hikari Field decided to tweak the build and submit the new build to have it reviewed. For the reminder, the last time Valve did reject Clover Days, so it's obvious that they passed it is a good news. That said, there still some works left before the release, but at least that's one major step got taken care of. For fan translation updates, we have ChuSingura is at 27.13% translated, 275 out of 2499 main script of Fate/Extra CCC are edited, Akagoei FD is at 60.92% edited along with 27.59% in QA, Tsuma Netori is at 35% edited, Planetarian Snow Globe image editing work has been finished, and Yosuga no Sora is at 72% TLC-ed along with 57% edited. We also have new translation project from the former White Album translator, with said project is Aikano that also has love triangle story. For the progress of Aikano, currently 186 out of 4471 lines of it are translated. Other than Tsukihime Remake 1 release, there's another release from fan translation in that it's a VN called Nakoruru, and from what I gather it's about a character from SNK fighting game Samurai Spirits. Oh, and that the VN is only available for Dreamcast. Go get Nakokuru if you're interested with it. Lastly, we have Tsukihime Remake Part 1 translation patch release, in which unfortunately it's not available for PC, so you need to have Switch if you want to to play it. The basic premise here is still like in 2000 version, with our orphan MC Shiki called to live together with his strict young sister Akiha, and he also has power to see the line of death that he impulsively use to kill passerby vampire Arcueid, weakening her in progress because she did use most of her energy to revive. The remake has some differences though, with Nasu filled his idea as much as possible in the new version (Especially on Ciel's route), so much that he need to make it in parts, and so he only manage to release one part of it with he obviously need more time to develop the second part. Nasu here also add more new prominent characters in the Remake, in that it'll be nice to see if Battle Moon Wars or Carnival Phantasm can add them. Go get Tsukihime Remake if you've been waiting for the big release of it, and have fun. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
  4. Well I never know that there's a thread in regard of Double Cast translation, and as far as PSP version I already forgot about it. In any case, well at least now we have Double Cast available in English, even though it may not as interesting as the newer VNs when it come to the writing. If anything else, it has some interesting graphic in form of animated graphic (The only similar VNs that also have that is Overflow VNs, and they're wrote the in-game setting under influence) and music (Composed by Yuki Kajiura who is lauded as one of well known anime composer, although the soundtrack in here may not up to her newer work).
  5. I just find a thread about Dungeon Travelers 2, so may as well revive it a bit by mentioned that Shiravune already released the PC version of this along with the alternative version (2-2) back on last Friday, which mean you can play it right now instead of buying PSV. You can only purchase this on Johren though thanks to Valve banned this. Anyway, have fun in case you've been playing this on the PC. PS - Speaking of DLC, from what I see 2-2 did add several cameo from past Leaf VNs (Including WA2 main heroines (Setsuna and Kazusa)) as the playable characters. What I can say, well, let's just say that I agree that it's waste of money (Technically speaking you didn't need to buy it because Shiravune already bundled it) because I felt that it would be jarring to have WA2 heroines as playable characters. PPS - Would like to see Shiravune finally manage to release Tears to Tiara 2 (And the first game remake) on PC now that they got this along with Utawarerumono trilogy and White Album, but maybe it's too much for them for now.
  6. Welcome to this week VNTS Review. For the title, since we have Nekonyan announced their first OELVN license (Cerulean Day) and had Shiravune announced White Album re-released Onikiss back on last Wednesday, I combined both title so we have 'Cerulean Kiss' as the title. For this week, well, let's just be blunt that this week is more or less a plain one with no interesting announcement (Besides Tsukihime Remake 1 full translation patch exact release date announcement). As for the release, well at least Koiyasumi is a nice short single heroine VN with good graphic, so at least it should be good if you're in mood to play something light. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week. Sekai did have several updates, and as for the updates we have Sheol engine work is 60% done, Inouto no Seiiki is at 90% in QA, and Nie no Hakoniwa is at 30% edited. JAST did announce the exact release date for Onigokko FD, and it'll be on 23rd later. Cherry Kiss announce yet another nukige with the title Mommy Sensei: Horny Homework with them will release it on 20th later, and I can always say that they're very creative when it come to translate the premise. A company did pick Club Suicide, and from what I see it's an otome VN with the female MC see the announcement in regard of the club who had the goal to do suicide with the female MC unwittingly took a look of it which cause her to be dragged into the club. Turned out that Craftwork had another surprise in regard of their new VN Geminism in which it's already surprising enough that they manage to develop a VN after Sayooshi release back in 2001, because actually they're planned to have Geminism simultaneous English release on August 25th later. I don't know though if Craftwork planned to release this by themselves or asking another party (Maybe Shiravune) for help. For Geminism itself, it has a female twin sisters fought each other for an unknown reasons with two mysterious men watch over the twin fight. Other than that, apparently this might be another VN with disturbing contents, which shouldn't be surprise if we know Sayooshi. Like I mention beforehand, we have an announcement for Tsukihime Remake 1 full translation patch exact release date with said date will be on 17th later (Obviously it mean that Ciel's route are both fully edited and finalized), so if you're understandably been waiting for the full translation patch and have Switch than you can note the date. Personally speaking I probably will not playing this, because it's quite bothersome to set Switch emulator on my laptop back when I tried Mahoyo and the result is not worth of the effort. For Koiyasumi itself, it's about the MC who is an university student coming back to his hometown and reunited with his female childhood friend, and of course they'll have a lot of sweet moment as the couple. Go get the patch if you've been waiting for Koiyasumi, and have fun. For the rest of fan translation updates, we have Yuzuki's route of Ginharu is more than halfway edited, ChuSingura is at 26.24% translated, Akagoei FD is past halfway (55.17%) edited, 33 out of 169 script files for Akagoei 3 are translated, and Tsuma Netori is at 30% edited. In regard of Cerulean Day, from what I see it's a VN about an island that become isolated from the outside world because the government decided to make a very tightly controlled internet network as the result of the lethal biological attack that happen in the past, which in exchange make the island is like the world before the internet introduced. I don't know if the VN can be as popular as DDLC or Katawa Shoujo or as well received as Sekimeiya, but at least I can say that the graphic is quite nice looking. For a bit of history, this VN is from Swedian creator with them making the Kickstarter back in 2019, and obviously I don't know about this until Nekonyan announced it. Personally speaking I would prefer Nekonyan to just put the focus on translating VNs, although if they want to try to publish OELVN then so be it (I just hope that they didn't try to create as much as OELVN as possible like Sekai). That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
  7. I didn't know if I should post the update in here or not seeing that the update is not much, but I decided to may as well do it. For the updates, currently we have Yuzuki's route is more than halfway edited, although whether the exact increase is large or not I don't know. That's all for this month update here.
  8. Sands of Destructions - It has anime first instead of the games, so naturally there are some differences. The games itself has some good name who've been working on well received RPG Xenogears and Chrono Cross (Masato Kato as the writer and Yasunori Mitsuda as composer), so naturally the expectation is high. As for how it turned out, let's just say that the expectation is pretty much unfulfilled. Oh yes it has unique premise, with the heroes decided to destroy the world and remake it anew thanks to them being fed up oppressed by the Beastman. Koihime Musou - Like Galaxy Angel, the anime staff decided to remove Kazuto (The VN MC), so obviously the focus will be on the (Very large) cast of girls which naturally would made some audience do some GL shipping between the casts. Unlike in Galaxy Angel anime where the girls do comical thing, in here the girls do many fanservices, which to say is quite faithful to the VN seeing that the VN has high number of sex scenes. Oh yes, it also has two more sequels, in that while it follow the VN that has multiple sequels, at least it's not as painful to follow. That's all for what I can write in regard of Summer 2008 anime.
  9. Turned out that there's no notable VN in May 2023, so if I may say which is the closest to be VN of the Month then it should be Ambitious Mission FD, although it's still only the first part so it can't be qualified anyway. That said, if I may mention otome VN, then obviously Bustafellows 2 is VN of the Month even though you didn't list it for the obvious reason. All in all, no much to say other than what I say above and that I still hope that Nekonyan have the license for Ambitious Mission, so that's all for May 2023 releases.
  10. May as well revive this thread for a bit because we finally have WA translation is announced, and turned out that I just need to wait for four and half years to see it localized by Shiravune (The link to the Steam store of it), which should be obvious that it's not by JAST lol. That said, Shiravune did localize the backport for PS3 version, so obviously there'll be no sex scenes, but at least there'll be Nana Mizuki voice (By the way, she's rarely voicing translated VNs heroines with her last role that I knew is Kaho from Hourglass of Summer).
  11. Welcome to this week, and as for the title I'll explain it in PS. For this week, let's just say that we have Shiravune being very active for an easy word with them had a number of announcements. Other than Shiravune, Nekonyan also has some news to share, although unfortunately it's not in regard of their releases yet. Lastly, we obviously still have some updates from fan translation. Overall, let's just say that this week is an almost below average one and let's see what I can write in regard of it. This week we have Tsuma Netori is at a quarter edited, 225 lines of Fate/Extra CCC main script has been edited, ChuSingura is at 25.9% translated, Tsukihime Remake Ciel's Route Day 13 has been finalized along with Day 14 of it has been fully edited, and Akagoei FD is at 48.28% edited. I know there's also Koiyasumi release as well, although I'll save the talk for next VNTS Review. We also have Rewrite Harvest Festa partial patch release that Amaterasu did work on (For the info initially it's Amaterasu 9th project before they're disappear), and the patch did contain full translation for all of the routes along with translate the beginning part of Rewrite Quest (The RPG minigame in Harvest Festa). In case you've been waiting for this ever since Sekai announce it (With them currently struggling with the editing work) and just want to read the story, then feel free to try the patch. While we know that Sol Press has financial problem when it come to the tax, turned out that the problem is far worse than we thought, especially with them didn't manage to pay the royalty for Tinkle Position (ie Onikiss developer). Since Sol Press has been suspended from doing business, naturally Onikiss license has been indirectly stopped and thus there's no way to get the royalty. With that circumstance, Nekonyan decided to help them by took over the license for Onikiss, and they planned to re-release it in the near future. Well, initially they want to release it in last Friday, although there are some unavoidable circumstances so they need to delay it for a while. Honestly speaking while Kara no Shoujo trilogy announcement from Shiravune is good news, I can't help but think that the announcement for the first two title is redundant, especially with almost no change in the second part. Granted arguably the first part has a number of improvement compared to what Mangagamer released in 2011, but even then there's a patch that add Mangagamer's translation into newer version of the first part (And also the second part), and thus the first two parts are redundant even with the new version and translation (Lemnisca is responsible for the retranslation work) on top made it available on Steam. If anything else, at least it mean that they have the license for the long awaited third part, so you can just wait for it to be released. Speaking of release, Shiravune already have the exact release date for the first part, and it'll be on July 28th later. They'll also release Nukitashi on 23rd and Dungeon Travelers 2 duology on Friday later. Other than Kara no Shoujo trilogy, they also have White Album, as if the first White Album that has no relation with WA2 (If I remember right, WA2 only has mention the first WA heroines in the beginning), and for the info they'll release PS3 backport version which as we know has no sex scenes. For the premise, it's about our MC Touya who's been in relationship with the upstart idol Morikawa Yuki, although thanks to her popularity their relationship has been pulled apart, so Touya need to be either tried his best to maintain their relationship or perhaps find someone else. It should be mentioned that while it eventually spawn the well received WA2 and it also has love triangle story, it won't be as dramatic as WA2. There's still no plan on when Shiravune release WA, although looking at the Steam store it'll be on Q3 of this year (ie between July to September). I also know that WA has fan translation project, so I'll just wait and see for both. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week. PS - Since we have Kara no Shoujo trilogy announcements with the direct translation of it is 'Girl in the Sell' (By the way Shiravune localize the title as 'The Shell' which to say is very generic) and White Album announcement, I make the parody of Kara no Shoujo translated title with I change 'Girl' into 'Star' (Because WA has idol and the most well known idol anime is Oshi no Ko with the title can be translated as 'My Star'), so we have 'Star in the Shell' as the title.
  12. There's a reason on why people did associate True End must be happy ending, and said reason is because it's the reward for the people who willing to put up with the lengthy playthrough, especially with Clannad in which you need to open the guide in order to know on how to open a new route, and not to mention very numerous side routes beside five main heroines. Aoishiro itself is not lost in that matter either even with no side routes, especially with on how the player need to navigate a lot of choices that can lead into one of 40+ bad endings. Another example of complicated true ending is YU-NO, in which you may as well open the guide to make it less headache, and the guide is very confusing to look if we didn't understand any of it. Of course though, not all of true ending it selves are necessarily happy ending, in that it's pretty much inevitable if it's a prequel of a tragedy VN, such as Fata Morgana FD with the main story has tragic ending because the premise itself is about the tale that lead up to the present tragedy. Another one is Kara no Shoujo, in that the true end for both parts are more or less very tragic with the developer was had a plan to resolve it in the third part. It should be noted that this kind of ending is very rare, which is inevitable seeing that people prefer happy true end with at most they can push it into Bittersweet Ending. While you mention that all true end should be conclusive, of course the reception to it can be mixed to a degree. One of such example is happen in Sorceress Alive with several people mention they didn't like on how true end (And true route to an extend) happening, or if you want some translated VN example it should be Bokuten. I also should mention that while Grisaia no Rakuen technically has conclusive true ending, to me that ending was overshadowed by some of the heroines ending (Especially Amane) which in turn it make Rakuen feel like the fandisc for Kajitsu. Speaking of Kajitsu, while it has ladder structure, it should be obvious that it's more or less created like usual charage. That's all for what I can write when it come to the topic (True Ending).
  13. Zettai Karen Children - The manga is more known in Indonesia as Cute Children, and said manga is currently finished in last year. The premise here is exactly like Galaxy Angel game, only that the male MC is handle three (Grade school age) girls instead of five girls. I can only comment that the future self of the three girls are quite sexy lol, because that's what I got remember when I took a glance to the manga in the bookstore. Oh, and some plot about ESP superpower with some bleak future. Code Geass 2nd Season - Sunrise took attention to the series, and as the result they moved on the broadcasting time to the earlier days, resulting some of the scenes were toned down. For the reminder, the first season was aired in the midnight where no much younger audience watch it, so obviously the staffs can draw some explicit stuff. That said, there's still some dark moment in there, and the ending is can be said as divisive to a degree. Forgot to mention that while CLAMP did involved in this, turned out that they only been responsible for their original character design. Macross F - Team Macross once again tried to make another Macross anime, and out of all Macross anime I can say that this one is quite well received alongside original Macross. It still has usual Macross stuff (Idol, space war, Missile Massacre, power up by song, and love triangle), although this time the staffs tried to put much focus on the music with the two heroines who involved in love triangle, Ranka and Sheryl, are the idol. Oh yes, now that I think about it the circumstances for two idol and the MC, Alto, are like Ar Tonelico 2 trio. Yu-Gi-Oh 5D - After the last Yu-Gi-Oh GX Jaden fail to have practical Extra Deck ace monster (Jaden even need to resort to Elemental Hero Neos (Normal Monster) as his ace halfway through the story), the MC Yusei manage to have more useful ace monster from Extra Deck, Stardust Dragon, with it has some use in real life card game. Ace monster aside, this series is also where Konami start to put more focus on the Extra Deck with them experimentation on the summoning method that didn't need to use Spell card (Synchro Summon). My ramble on the gameplay aside, this series has some more mature element compared to GX (Other than playing card game with motorcycle), with the latter half is less received compared to the first half. That's all for what I can write in regard of Spring 2008 anime here.
  14. From what I see, Chuee also has Astral Air project in which it's still not available in English until now. Not to mention that Nekonyan still waiting the Irotoridori HD build from FAVORITE, which if we remember Hello Lady it can took a while, especially if Nekonyan also already has plan to localize both of fandisc/sequel Hikari and Akai Hitomi. And then if I'm right, they may already has been waiting to finally officially announced Astral Air with them negotiate with FAVORITE. So yeah with that condition, I don't think they'll localize Sakuramoyu in the near future, although if they manage to do that then so be it. Anyway once again I should mention that there's a lot of fan translator who've been quit because of the length of the work, and I can say this because I've seen a lot of fan translator who did work on well known VNs only to be failed because of several factors. So yeah good luck to the translator and I hope he can preserve until he's finished all of the works.
  15. Nekonyan re-release Onikiss with the sales will resume on Friday later (The tweet in regard of it). There's also a blogpost in regard of Onikiss situation, and turned out that Sol Press situation is far worse when it come to financial, especially after they've been so desperate with money so much that they can't paid the developer (Tinkle Position) the royalty that has been set from the sales, which obviously very bad seeing that Tinkle Position is currently stopping their VNs development. That said, there's no much change here other than it change the publisher along with adding this onto Denpasoft and Mangagamer, and that there'll be some slight change in the script. PS - Oh yes, obviously the title is no longer true, because Onikiss license was moved to Nekonyan with Sol Press already had their business suspended thanks to their inability to pay tax.
  16. Gunslinger Girl 2 - It has good opening song, and that's all for what I can comment on it. Spice and Wolf - It also has good opening song, and the anime has a lot of economy stuffs with the author would wrote World End Economica VN that Sekai has been localized. It also interesting to note that Koshimizu Ami role here is the goddess, and currently she also act as the goddess (Or rather an elf that people worship) in Otaku Elf with her role is the titular otaku elf. YPC5GG - The second season of YPC5 trilogy, and the last time Toei made the sequel for the main series (Note that the adult sequel of YPC5 here didn't count) because the children apparently prefer to see different Precure series at each year. Compared to the prequel, YPC5GG has more focus on the ongoing story with YPC5 come into the conflict with the group that has the goal to collect the mystical item known as Rose Pact with YPC5 job is to protect said item. Oh yes, this is also the series that has the mascot turned into Precure, in which for this series we Milk become the Precure known as Milky Rose. That's all for what I can write in regard of Winter 2008 anime here.
  17. Clannad - Considering the VN is quite well received, obviously the anime version is also well received, especially with Kyoani working on this. Also it's very obvious that it need more than 40 episodes to adapt it faithfully seeing that Clannad is a very lengthy VN. For the first season here, it only adapt three main heroines routes (Fuko, Kotomi, and Nagisa) with the rest of routes (Tomoyo and Kyou) are made into OVA.\ ef - While the anime art is not as good as the VN (It still good on it's own), at least Shaft make it up with the stylish animated art in the opening. If I may nitpick something, it would be on how the director seems to prefer Miyako more than Kei because Kei's action in the anime is not what she did in the VN and not to mention made her character reputation worse to the anime only audience, but if anything else at least it's not as bad as Kaede from Shuffle. Shugo Chara - Magical girl anime starring 11 years old cool girl who want to be seen as normal, and the 3rd season of it is not as good as the first two seasons. Also it's manga was available in Indonesia, although I only glance a bit of it. Minami-ke - Cute girls do cute things with three sisters, and that there's a handsome weird man Hosaka who keep trying to win Haruka love (And also have imagination scene when he sang the song revolving curry or vegetable). Myself Yourself - I'd like to hear the opening song of the anime, and it's quite good. Not the most well received anime that Doga Kobo made (It would be Oshi no Ko), but at least it's not 11eyes. That's all for what I can write in regard of Fall 2007 anime here.
  18. Since we have someone say that Aoishiro is like 'Dark Soul of Yuri' (Thanks to a huge number of choices) along with Spiral Dystopia release, I did make a parody of a very well known newer game from Dark Soul developer, Elden Ring, with I change the 'Ring' into 'Book' (Because Spiral Dystopia plot is started thanks to the MC hold the mysterious book), so we have 'Elden Book' as the title. Anyway for this week, we have a number of releases, with the most notable one are Akai Ito and Aoishiro releases, although compared to the last week there's no much new title announcements. Overall, I guess we can say this week here is yet another average one, and let's see what I can write in regard of it. We have Akai Ito and Aoishiro release for Steam and Switch version, and as you know it's GL VN duology with very good graphic, which to say is still looking good even now regardless the problem that popped up in the Steam version. For both VNs, in both we have a girl who have come to the location that happen to have some problem with supernatural, and said supernatural event is meant life or death with the MC need some help from the heroines who have some experiences in dealing with those. The difference is that Akai Ito MC Kei is only a normal teenage girl and thus have no experience in fighting, while Aoishiro MC Shouko is kendo club captain so at least she has experience in fighting. While Aoishiro release is technically redundant because we have the translation for it since 2009, at least in this release we have the interface of this being translated on top have it's HDD size reduced. Go get both VN if you've been waiting for it, and have fun. Frontwing released 2nd work of Milk Factory, and let's just say that you may as well play this for the arts with the heroines are keep constantly suffer back pain because of their big breast, although of course it's okay if you want to just skip it. Frontwing also has announced that they'll localize Grisaia Chronos Rebellion in which if we remember it's their now defunct mobage with the PC version apparently only have the story, and I can only comment that Frontwing surely like to milk Grisaia until it's milk is dried out thanks to the constant milking. Unfortunately Sugar Sweet Temptation release is delayed again, and the reason is apparently they still not finished with the build or something like that. Kagura Games did release Spiral Dystopia back on 26th, and from a first glace it seems to have some nice production value, although turned out that it's a game with some controversial sex scenes. That said, it still has some interesting story (Being chuunige and all) if you can see past that, courtesy of TORI who as we know is the former Rance series writer. Go get Spiral Dystopia if you've been keeping the eyes on it, and have fun. We also have another route for Obedient Women being translated (Now we have 10 stories of it in English), and the new translated route is about Ria Naeho who is not satisfying with her new marriage because she like to have variety in sex (Being young and all), so obviously she seeks that to the man who is not her husband that happen to be in her house. For fan translation update, first of all we have Senmomo is fully translated with the next step is they'll do a lot of works (Including QA) before finally release it with the target is hopefully in this year. Other than Senmomo fully edited, we also have ChuSingura is past a quarter (25.65%) translated, H2O is at 64.2% edited, AND Akagoei FD is at 43.68% edited along with past a quarter (25.29%) in QA. That's all for fan translation updates in this week. Turned out that Shiravune did have yet another project, and said project is One Remake that Nexton create as it's 30th anniversary product. For the reminder One is the work of Jun Maeda before he formed KEY, so naturally there'll be some nakige element in one along with supernatural story. For the remake, there'll be no sex scenes in there so you better not expect it, and if you've been desperate for sex scenes you can read it in old version that has been translated anyway. For the art, I can say that the coloring staff really now on how to make Hinoue Itaru art looking good, so at least her art in One Remake looks better compared to the art in Koropokkur. Oh yes, we already have the exact release date, and it'll be on December 22nd later with the release is also simultaneous release with Japanese version. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
  19. Sakuramoyu eh? Let's just say that it's one of four VNs that I mention when there's a trend in Twitter that ask us to tell which four VNs that you want to be localized, and so I mentioned this. As for the project here, I would say that the biggest difficulties here would be keeping your tempo in the future, especially with a lot of real life stuffs that can be in your way to finishing up the project (Doubly so with the length of Sakuramoyu). Still, I hope that you'll be able to finish this project, so good luck to the project there. PS - I know that FAVORITE have a deal with both Sekai and Nekonyan, but seeing that both have considerable backlog to work with, I'm not counting them to work on this because it might be too much for now (Though if one of them decided to deal with this, then good for either of them).
  20. What you should expect from both is obviously horror, although it also has some combat seeing that several heroines from the duology are demon hunter with the MC from Aoishiro is kendo club captain from all girl school. Oh yes, several heroines are also have supernatural ties. Anyway, the duology is now available on Steam and Switch, so feel free to try it if you're interested with it. For Steam version, I should say that they did the good job with Aoishiro, in that they manage to translate the flowchart and dictionary on top compressed the size (No longer that people need to allocate 7 GB HDD to play Aoishiro, but instead only less than 3 GB). Unfortunately though, the publisher apparently only working with this on 1080p, so the game will be zoomed in if you play it with PC that has resolution less than 1080p (It's problematic in Akai Ito with you can't even view the face in the sprites). The issues aside, I hope that you'll have fun if you played this.
  21. Zetsubo-sensei - I only know that it has unique students based on the wordplay along with the teacher who always felt depressed on top had unique animation courtesy of Shaft, and no much else. Higurashi Kai - Unlike the first one, DEEN only adapt two arcs so it's obvious that it's more faithful compared to the first part. It also has anime exclusive arc that was made in order to cover the plot hole that happen in the first season that was happen as the result they adapted all six chapters within 26 episodes, and said arc was created as the result of Ryukishi's request. School Days - Technically it's pretty faithful adaptation, although it should be noted that it's faithful in all wrong way by adapting the bad ending in which Makoto was depicted as infamous he is, so much that it end in bloody ending that caused Nice Boat meme (The staff was forced to aired a boat because a real life case where a girl from a broken home expressed her gratitude to her father by killing him with axe). While granted the move surely would cause some infamy, I suppose the director here is pretty smart knowing that his anime would be more well known if he adapt the bad ending instead of good ending like several bunch of anime that adapt the VN, and at least we can still remember the infamous ending of School Days anime even with 0verflow already stopped producing VNs. That's all for what I can write in regard of Summer 2007 anime here.
  22. Welcome to this week VNTS Review and sorry for being very late here. For this week, since we have Uchi no Koibito sudden release with the premise resemble horror movie Knock Knock (The man was live together with two girls, although in Knock Knock the girls raped the man and then ruined his life) and Tamayura Mirai release from the last week with mod Clephas mentioned that it resemble Monobeno, I'd make a parody of Monobeno updated version, Monobeno -Happy End-, by changing 'Monobeno' into 'Knock Knock', so we have 'Knock Knock -Happy End-' as the title. As for this week, we have a bunch of announcements and releases, although unfortunately none of those are quite interesting to me. If anything else, at least Mangagamer announcements have good graphic, and so to me this week is more or less an average one. Let's see what I can write in regard of this week here. There's a new fan translation group (Shinzou Translations) that translate several short VNs, with two of those are Fukyou no Hana and Hikage no Himari. I can only say that good for the group if they manage to working on their favorite VNs, even with the VNs are the short one. We also have Dei Gratia full translation patch release, and yes by Dei Gratia I mean the VN that Lemnisca was decided to scrapped the localization plan after their KS with the base goal 57,000 dollars failed (The link to the patch). The premise is still the in regard of several people were trapped inside a closed room like in Ever17 (Which make sense considering Dei Gratia here is some sort of Ever17 tribute), and said closed room is in the sinking submarine 700 meters below the surface with the unknown threat at the depth of the ocean. Go get the translation patch if you want to play this ever since Lemnica announced the KS plan for this, and have fun. For this week fan translation updates, we have ChuSingura is at 24.72% translated with the translated lines passed 20,000 lines mark, Tsuma Netori is at 20% edited, H2O is at 60.2% edited, Senmomo is at 98.42% edited with side stories is at 94.47% edited, and Akagoei FD is at 40.23% edited along with 24.14% QA-ed. That's all for this week fan translation updates. While this is not VN news, may as well mention that Nekonyan will release Lorena on 26th later. Speaking of release, we have both Aksys and Cherry Kiss released Koinegau and Oppai Samurai respectively. Koinegau here is about a female MC who live in Edo era can see the black thread that will be followed by a disaster and thus be shunned by the villagers, which of course eventually lead her to have a romance with one of six handsome heroes. Go get Koinegau if you want to play it and have Switch (Because it's only available on Switch). As for Oppai Samurai, once again it's about a very famous demon slayer who've been forced to have sex with nobody, and it also has interesting description courtesy of Cherry Kiss translator. Go get Oppai Samurai if you're interested with it, and have fun. Shiravune announced they'll release another nukige from Appetitie with the localized title Queen of the Otaku, and they already have the exact release date for it in which it'll be on July 18th later. Other that announce the new title, Shiravune released Kuroinu Redux with them had all characters in silhouette on top of cutting the contents leaving the prologue alone in Steam version, which is understandable considering Valve can be very random when it come to ban even with the game that has less explicit contents. From what I hear apparently it has new contents, although in the end it's still redundant anyway. If anything else, at least people can purchase the whole Kuroinu in cheaper price seeing that Mangagamer release it in three parts with each parts price is at 25 dollars. Sekai manage to be predictable by announced both of Animal Trail FD and Animal Trail 2 back in Anime Central, and at least the graphic for both are good seeing that Unless Terminalia (The VN from the same company) won the Best Graphic Award back in Getchu 2022. Oh yes, Sekai already had both are fully translated and edited with them currently wating the build for both. For the other updates, Sekai also has Imuto no Seiiki was in QA which mean they manage to get the engine, and lastly we have Amairo Chocolata 2 being approved by Valve with Sekai currently doing the testing for it. Mangagamer announced two VNs, with the first one is the aforementioned Uchi no Koibito that Mangagamer was suddenly released on Anime Central. For the premise, this time instead of living with either his childhood friend or little sister, the MC live together with two girls who work at the cafe that the MC frequent because their home was burned down, and obviously it'll lead the MC to eventually have the romance with two girls with them occasionally do threesome. With this, now we have Uchi trilogy available in English, so go get the VN if you interested with it and have fun. The second one is Nightmare x Vampire in which it's possibly Mangagamer's secret project with the progress is fully translated and edited, and this time we have the vampire girl Rei who at first have rivalry with Setsuna (The first Nightmare series MC) before finally respect each other capabilities. Obviously, we'll going to have Rei got raped as per Nightmare series. Mangagamer also has several updates with the most significant one is Sona-Nyl finally in testing, which if we know that it's been announced from all the way back in 2016 it mean that the wait for is is almost over. Speaking of testing, Mangagamer also mentioned that they almost ready to do the testing for Raillore. For the rest of the updates, we have Rance 03 is at 48% translated along with 29% edited, Rance X is at 56% translated along with 5% edited, Funbag Fantasy is past halfway (51%) translated along with 49% edited, and Eve of December is at 91% translated along with 8% edited. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week.
  23. While otome here is not what I usually look closely for most of the time, I admit that the addition of card game is somehow quite interesting seeing that it's quite rare to see the translated VNs with it, although apparently it's more like Princess Waltz instead of Soukoku no Arterial (As for Hanafuda element, I only know it through Fate Hollow Ataraxia and not knowing any of it). Mangagamer may have a hand in regard of the English license, although they didn't announce it on last AX (Maybe they save the announcement for AX or Otakon later if they indeed have the license for this). In any case, if they really have the license then hopefully they can release it on PC.
  24. I don't know if it's okay to use the KS thread for this, but I figure may as well do it. As for what I want to write, it's in regard of the full translation patch for Dei Gratia that was just released today (The VNDB page of the translation patch), so you can play it in case you're still waiting for Lemnisca to try to do the KS and can't wait any longer.
  25. Unlike last year when Nekonyan also participate, this time we have Mangagamer and Sekai Project announced some title, although those title are not a big one. Mangagamer Announcement 1 - Uchi no Koibito Announcement 2 - Nightmare x Vampire Sekai Project Announcement 1 - Kemonomichi Girlish Square Love + Plus Contains fluffy & ecchi afterstories for the heroines of the main game. Announcement 2 - Kemonomichi Girlish Square - By the way, Mangagamer actually also released Uchi no Koibito in which it made all three parts of Uchi trilogy available in English. With Shiravune take over the first part of Succubus Session trilogy, I wonder if Mangagamer will license Bishoujo Gakuen trilogy later. Sekai, well they did a good job for being predictable with Kemonomichi aka Animal Trail license instead of trying to pick up some bigger title from the same company such as Unless Terminalia. That's all for Anime Central 2023 announcements here.
