I suppose we can say that 2021 here is the continuation of 2020 in that we're still in the middle of the pandemic, although there's a lot of vaccination right now. Of course, it won't stop the releases of the translated VNs, and it's nice to see that JAST is very aggressive regarding the release in 2021, so much so that it can rival both Mangagamer and Sekai for yearly release numbers. With that done, let's see which translated VNs I chose as the best-rated ones in 2021. I'm sorry if some of your favorites are not here, so you may disagree with my choice because I may be subjective. Lastly, the scores and rank can fluctuate in the future, and for the reminder, the scores are the VNDB score for each VN as of today (April 8th, 2024). Before I go with the best-rated translated VNs, I'll write the honorable mentions for 2021 here. The honorable mentions are Onigokko (VNDB 7.16), Parquet (VNDB 7.13), and Ninki Seiyuu no Tsukurikata (VNDB 7.27). That's all for the honorable mentions of 2021. 10. Ren'ai Karichaimashita (VNDB 7.28) If you look at Sankaku Ren'ai (developed by the same company and localized by Nekonyan), you know what to expect from Karichaimashita here. As a reminder, it's the comedy with a love triangle that's not as dramatic as White Album 2 (WA2), and we'll have it here. Karichaimashita is about our MC, Yuki, who keeps thinking about how money is the only thing that makes his little sister happy, thanks to his family's unique circumstances that forced Yuki to be the family's breadwinner. So, of course, he'll keep working for money if his sister can be happy, so much so that he calls himself having a Sister Complex. One day, Yuki saw a job advertisement for a company that allows clients to have fake relationships; the job is quite common in Japan, as shown in the infamous Kanojo Okarishimasu manga. While the job is highly suspicious, Yuki decides to apply anyway since it offers the high pay he desperately needs. Little did he know back then that he would keep involved with the clients, which in turn allowed him to start a relationship with one of the clients, and here we're going to have four and a half routes because, while technically there are five heroines, two of those heroines are the twin who's sharing Yuki. 9. Primal x Hearts (VNDB 7.40) Shiravune released several interesting visual novels in 2021, one of those VNs being Marmalade's Primal Hearts series. While it's inevitable because we also have Study Steady (another Marmalade VN) localized by them, it's still nice to see they license the Primal Hearts series. The series features a school with two student councils and an even number of students, thus ensuring a deadlock situation every time a vote happens. The MC's role in the series is as the hope to break the deadlock because he's the 777th student, hence his Three Sevens nickname. So, both councils inevitably approach the MC to persuade him to join one of the councils to have whichever side has the MC win the future votes. While I understand that the second Primal Hearts here has received some improvements, I list the first one here because the Primal Hearts series reminds me of the Lunar series, with both Lunar and Primal Hearts developers improving their second game. So the first Primal Hearts here should make a nice parallel with the first Lunar, and I know it's quite a stretch to compare Lunar and Primal Hearts, seeing that both series have a lot of differences anyway. 8. Sugar * Style (VNDB 7.44) Compared to other translated Smee VNs (HaremKingdom and Making Lovers) with unique MCs, Sugar Style here didn't have the MC become a king in a different world or already be working. But instead, our MC has just started his college life. For the premise, we have Kazuki (MC's default name), whose parents fled and left him with debts while also being deceived by an evil woman. So, after a string of bad luck, he turns the page by entering the college with the dormitory, which his cousin manages, only to find out that the dormitory is for females. Then Kazuki accidentally stumbles into a perverted situation. Thus, his relationship with the female residents, the heroines, has a rocky start. However, as per Smee VN, Kazuki will gradually get closer to the heroines. He'll then enter a relationship with one of the four heroines in the original version (which Nekonyan localized) and with the two additional heroines, including Kazuki's cousin, in the untranslated console version (that does not have sex scenes). Like other Smee VNs, besides obviously still having the usual comedy, it also has a mini fan disc, but we don't know if Nekonyan will localize it. 7. Dohna Dohna -Issho ni Warui Koto o Shiyou- (VNDB 7.88) After Shiravune brought the Primal Hearts series in July 2021, we have Dohna Dohna as another exciting license released by them in October 2021. Dohna Dohna, as in the latest gameplay VN by Alicesoft, which, as we know, is attempting to localize Evenicle 2 on their own (so perhaps Shiravune will localize Evenicle 2 later), as well as having a partnership with Mangagamer to localize the Rance series. For Dohna Dohna itself, while the graphic style resembles Persona 5, the story is more similar to FF7. In the story of Dohna Dohna, it has an outlaw group that lives in a city tightly controlled by a massive corporation. The group does everything it can, including robbing the facility related to the corporation, to fight them. While we usually think that the group is in the right, in this case, we can't exactly say that the group is better than the corporation morally because we have the group kidnapping several women to sell them as prostitutes to get money. Finally, while the graphics are quite colorful, it should go without saying that the content is quite dark, especially with the already mentioned prostitute and some disturbing sex scenes in the Bad Endings. 6. Rance Quest (VNDB 7.93) After some time of waiting (11 years for the ones who play fan translations of Sengoku Rance and 17 months for the ones who play the Mangagamer version), we finally have Rance Quest released in English. As for the story, after Rance encountered a problem in Sengoku Rance, he decided to find a way to resolve his situation. Of course, Rance being Rance, his inability to control his libido caused trouble, and he's been struck with a curse by a woman with whom he had sex. Said curse renders any woman who has sex with Rance weakened, as well as making Rance not able to have sex with weaker women, so there will be many restrictions on Rance's having sex. Facing the situation, rather than trying to find a way to remove the curse quickly, Rance decided to enjoy his life as much as possible. Of course, he'll do so by searching for many strong women so that he can have sex with them. Rance Quest is the eighth part of the Rance series that Alicesoft developed, and Quest here is a breather episode with Rance doing a lot of quests that resemble the old RPG (hence the word "Quest") with him recruiting a lot of characters (up to 72) to join his adventure. 5. Musicus (VNDB 8.00) When Overdrive worked on this VN, which was planned as their last VN before they went with the Virtual Youtuber stuff, they found themselves without enough funds to develop the VN. And so they did the crowdfund to get the funds, with the result that they managed to gather 130 million yen. According to what I've seen, Musicus has been well received, with some calling it a thought-provoking VN if we borrow the late Conjueror's word, though whether that's true is up to each person. But I know for sure that we have Kei, who is currently in a dilemma regarding his future after encountering the difficulties of becoming a doctor like his father. Of course, as per Overdrive MC, Kei finds himself drawn to the music after watching a concert. From there, he does his best to perform in a band after being suggested by a band leader. Unlike the writer's previous Overdrive VN, which also focused on the music band (Kira Kira), in this one, the writer shows what would happen if one made a band for a living, which turned out to be quite an ordeal. Since Musicus didn't have an opening, I'll use the ending credit of Yako's route for the video below. 4. Kin'iro Loveriche (VNDB 8.20) Kini'iro Loveriche, aka Kinkoi, is the first translated Saga Planet VN that Nekonyan localized. With that, we finally have Saga Planet VN translated, which defies people's belief that it's impossible to see it happen, especially with several failed Saga Planet VN translation projects we've had in the past (Hanasaki Work Spring, Hatsuyuki Sakura). As for Kinkoi, the premise here is that Ouro carried Princess Sylvie (her full name is too long) in Princess Carry (how appropriate), which obviously would alert her bodyguards because it made Ouro look like he had kidnapped the princess. Since Ouro himself caught Sylvie's attention, she had arranged for Ouro to attend the school with her. While the premise suggested that this is just a comedy VN with rich people as heroines, it turned out that there's more to Kinkoi than meets the eye, particularly regarding the story of one of the heroines. The VN also has a fan disc, Golden Time, with two routes for the side heroines, after stories for each heroine (including the side one), and an alternate ending for a specific heroine. Just in case you're asking if the fan disc will be licensed or not, Nekonyan has already licensed it, and so far, the translation work on it is going pretty well. 3. 9 -Nine- Yukiiro Yukihana Yukinoato (VNDB 8.60) I said the serial release is not ideal for releasing a VN. But after I read one of the reviews about Nine, perhaps going serial here is the best way to make the writer, Kazuki Fumi, build up the story arc because not all writers can make the complete story arc from the beginning. That said, I'm still not a fan of serial release. In Episode 4, after Kakeru gets close to the other heroines, Miyako, Sora, and Haruka, in the previous episodes while investigating the incidents in the city, this time Kakeru gets close to Noa. More importantly, Kakeru finally confronts a person who's been causing the incidents after getting some help from an unexpected fellow. While there's Shinshou, aka New Episode, which is said to be the sequel to Episode 4, the New Episode is more like the fan disc than the sequel. The New Episode contents are the after stories for the heroines with some wrap-up for the story, so Episode 4 here is the grand finale for the Nine series itself. Izumi Tsubasu is still in charge of the design, so we still have her beautiful drawings. Sekai did well on this by releasing four episodes of Nine within two years, contrasting with when they needed three years to release two VN of the ReLord trilogy. 2. Soukou Akki Muramasa (VNDB 8.91) We knew JAST got the license for Muramasa back in 2012 when one of TLWiki's users, Makoto, became the translator for JAST. JAST being JAST, we didn't see them give us many updates on Muramasa, so people decided to give up on it. At least until July 2021, when JAST abruptly announced that Muramasa would be released shortly, and with their new pace, JAST did manage to release it in August 2021. For the premise, we have an alternative world where Japan (ruled by the Rokuhara shogunate with an iron fist and has unique warriors called musha) has a roaming monster that terrorizes the country by killing many people. Enter Kageaki with his eyes set on it, and then he hunts it down. While usually, we would say that Kageaki is the hero, one should remember the arc word, "This is not a story of the heroes." So, of course, Kageaki will make many horrible decisions to achieve the goal. Since the writer, Narahara Ittetsu, did write both Hanachirasu and Muramasa, with the former having a lot of deaths, sure enough, Muramasa has tons of people dying left and right. Besides that, Narahara here also provides some writing that can be thought-provoking. 1. White Album 2 (VNDB 9.00) I still remember in 2011 when my roommate listened to the WA2 Closing Chapter opening, and obviously, there was no translated version of it back then. The Todokanai group worked hard to translate WA2, but it took years to finish because of its length. After several years of work, they finally released the full translation patch on December 22nd of last year, making it a nice early Christmas gift from them. For the premise, we have Haruki, who is searching for additional light music club members to perform at the school festival. He manages to get two girls, Setsuna and Kazusa, to participate. Haruki had no idea at the time that he would become embroiled in a dramatic love triangle that would last into his adulthood, and it would be pretty messy, given that each involved person had numerous flaws. WA2 here is Maruto's last VN before he moves on to write the light novel (Saekano), and as I said, Maruto here did write each of the characters like in Damekoi, only with him putting more focus on two heroines instead of just one like in Damekoi. As for the video, I used the Closing Chapter opening because it's where most of WA2 content goes. That's all for my list of translated visual novels released in 2021. To conclude, 2021 is pretty much an exciting year, with two of the most well-received VNs (Muramasa and WA2) getting translated so we can finally play them in English. Lastly, with JAST's new strategy in that they decided to release the download version first to quicken the releases, I look forward to what they can do in 2022. Of course, I also look forward to what the other companies can do in 2022, especially regarding Nekonyan and Shiravune, despite the latter's liking to use bothersome Denuvo for DRM. PS - For the title, I combined the words "winter" (the WA2 season motif) and "musha" (the unique warrior in Muramasa), resulting in "The Winter Musha," which is similar to one of Captain America's films (The Winter Soldier).

Back in the day, we had a list of English-language-first visual novels. Unfortunately its OP, nohman, has left us. Fortunately, a lot of good EVNs have been released since then! As Fuwanovel's resident Japanese-knowing, JVN-enjoying EVN reader, I figure I'm in a unique position to moderate this thread. The previous list focused on "notable" EVNs, but to be honest, these days there are arguably so many notable EVNs that the list would get unwieldy. Besides, the reason to read anything is if it's good — or at least interesting — right? I want to see what you like. Anyone can contribute with suggestions. If you think it's good or interesting, tell me why, link the game, and I'll add it to the list. To get us started, I'll seed the list with some of my own favorites . The Fuwanovel List of Cool EVNs _______________________________________________________________________________ Actual Sunlight by Will o'Neill Notable tags: Depression, Utsuge, Suicide Zakamutt: This is a dark VN, and it came to me at a dark time in my life. It's one of the most uncompromising depictions of depression I have seen, and the writing is as funny as it is cutting. Not for everyone, but for me: one of my two 10/10 VNs. Where to get: Steam, Itch.io _______________________________________________________________________________ An Octave Higher by Kidalang Notable tags: Fantasy, Magic/ESP Combat, Fictional World Zakamutt: This is an honest-to-god fantasy VN made by the Indonesian studio Kidalang. It reminds me a lot of Terry Pratchett: you have a big medieval-ish city, magic and technology combined, and some interesting social commentary. The creators' Indonesian roots show through here, as Indonesia lived through an attempted communist coup, then an anti-communist purge, in 1965 — the story centers around people of different classes dealing with the rise of industry and capitalism, with such fun things as magic used in factory production, and even factory-provided mana potions... This is not an uncritical communist paean by any means — read it and you'll see. Where to get: Steam _______________________________________________________________________________ Blankspace by NoBreadStudio Notable tags: Escape Game, Mystery, Romance Zakamutt: Where 999 flavors its mystery with science-fiction technobabble, Blankspace flavors it with messy human drama. You wake up tied to a pipe, and the only one that can help you is Beryl, a teal-haired beauty who was trapped along with you. As you unravel the mystery to escape, you can also pick how you interact with her, perhaps even fall in love — there's a text-only (no CGs) sex scene patch, and I highly advise you get it, as it's written more like erotica than a normal VN h-scene. Quite interesting. The character writing is some of the best I've seen in a VN, with interactions being both natural and entertaining, but also moving the plot forward. The point-and-click elements aren't bad either, and serve the plot as much as less interactive segments. Where to get: Steam, Itch.io _______________________________________________________________________________ Corpse Factory by RIVER CROW STUDIO Notable tags: Thriller, Horror, Modern Day Tokyo Templarseeker: By the title alone you might think its a rip off of Corpse Party, nevertheless give the VN/Game a try and you'll witness a interesting, gloomy, dark, and semi realistic depiction of modern society. A psychological horror VN at its very core. In addition this VN/Game has decent English voice acting in it on some of the important dialogues! Where to get: Steam, GOG _______________________________________________________________________________ Digital: A Love Story by Christine Love Notable tags: Operating System Simulation, Interactive Adventure Game Zalor: "It's not what you say, it's how you say it that matters", is the first thing that comes to mind with this VN. The story itself is quite simple, but the presentation is so excellent that it makes up for where the story might slack. Especially as somebody who is quite fascinated with old computers, I loved how the whole story is told through BBS messages. BBS standing for Bulletin Board System, and was essentially the internet before the internet. Its presentation mimics said environment very convincingly as well. Where to get: Creator's Website (FREE!) _______________________________________________________________________________ Digital Seclusion by Zalor Notable tags: Otaku Protagonist Zakamutt: Digital Seclusion is a story of a person who might be a bit like you — though I hope none of you are as extreme. He's a shut-in collector of old Japanese visual novels, which he posts about on his blog. It's also an (opinionated) history of the medium, introducing many old, and for some, nostalgic, visual novels. One day, a girl that looks just like a heroine from one of his games steps out of the screen. But is she real, and if so, should he trust her — or is she nothing but bad news? Digital Seclusion was written by one of our forum members, Zalor, and we also have a Fuwanovel review of this VN if you're interested. Where to get: Itch.io (FREE!) _______________________________________________________________________________ Doki Doki Literature Club! by Dan Salvato Notable tags: Poetry, Student Club Alpacaman: I know this one is kind of controversial in the community. It's still one of the titles that introduced many people in the west to visual novels. Yes, it's gimmicky, but what it sets out to do it does very well and doesn't overstay its welcome. Many people in the community saw the game as an attack on VNs as a whole, but I think it's more about player agency and the relationship between games and the ones playing them. I loved the characters, the art style and the story in general. Iirc there was a voice patch released after I read it, so it may be even better now. It's also good to have some LGBTQIA+ representation in the list! Focused on the interactions between a lost boy and a demon confined within a magic circle, it has some folklore-ish vibes to it. However, the bouncing between the two perspectives of the boy and the demon girl adds a modern flair to a story that otherwise does feel like it could be within a Grimm Fairy Tales book. This is all not to mention the beautiful art. For more info here's a review. Where to get: Steam, Dischan (FREE!) _______________________________________________________________________________ Katawa Shoujo by Four Leaf Studios Notable tags: Nakige, Romance, Disabled Heroine Zakamutt: Back in the day, there'd be no point in putting this on the list. Literally everyone knew about it, and it was many people's first VN. Today, I think this story is worth recommending anew. The central conceit is the protagonist, Hisao, transferring to an academy for the disabled after suffering a heart attack. But the depth in this VN lies in not the disabled girls he meets there, but in what lies beneath. Pretty much every character has hidden depths to them, and the story arc usually ends up much like a Key tearjerker (without the supernatural hijinx). It's not just nostalgia, mom, I swear. Katawa Shoujo is genuinely a good VN. Where to get: OG, Moddable Fan HD rerelease with accessibility options (both FREE!) _______________________________________________________________________________ Lessons in Love by Selebus Notable tags: Dating Simulation, Student-Teacher Romance, Lots of Choices Alpacaman: A work in progress that at this point is even longer than Umineko and according to its creator is the longest VN in existence, period (each update is about 30-60k words long and there's been about 50). Which shouldn't keep you from reading it. At least to me this one is more about vibes than plot and works very well despite its length. Where to get: Subscribestar, Itch.io (FREE but one of those things where the patreon is further ahead) _______________________________________________________________________________ Lynne by ebi-hime Notable tags: Modern Day British Isles, Utsuge, Psychological Horror Zakamutt: Ebi-hime is a well-regarded VN writer among those in the know, and for a reason: she consistently delivers well-written interesting stories. Lynne is one of her free offerings, and takes place in a lower-class British milieu, with all the stress and envy that often implies. Both the soundtrack and graphics match the griminess of the setting, with ebi-hime opting to work with the electronic music producer sleepy agents for the sound. Lynn, the protagonist, is haunted by nightmares as the national exams she simply cannot afford to fuck up approach. Almost everything around her seems practically designed to stress her out more. In school there is a girl that she feels has everything that she does not, Lynne. Will Lynn pass her exams, or will she break from the stress she is under? And what will happen to Lynne? Find out in this VN. Where to get: Itch.io (FREE!) _______________________________________________________________________________ Pale Cachexia by Argent Games Notable tags: Dark Fantasy, (Gothic) Horror, Illness Zakamutt: Our protagonist, Esther, is afflicted with the Pale, a disease that causes its victims to waste away at terrifying speed if they do not take medicine every day. Even with the medicine, sufferers are often doomed to a life of slow degeneration and disability, with everything from their mood to too much exercise affecting the condition. Esther has made a desperate bid for a cure, the last step of a journey in search of a cure the cottage of a dead scholar of the Pale in the forest — and the young girl who lives there. They build up a fragile relationship as Esther researches his notes, trying to find something — anything — to help her condition. But those same notes might hold horrors she never knew... I liked this one so much it made me write like a pretentious twat on vndb. So I'm just going to reproduce that here. I'm not sorry. A languid walk, rarely a run, into the terror and beauty of the darkness. The will to be independent yet the need to depend. The intense portrayal of guilt and avoidance in this is sublime — or maybe just too deeply #relatable for me to give it, with its beautiful immersive atmosphere and, for once, solid writing anything else but an "excellent" rating. Where to get: Steam, Itch.io _______________________________________________________________________________ Sensei Overnight by Pers0nas Notable tags: All-girls School, Teacher Protagonist, Memory Alteration Danmaku: it is a "psychological horror mystery grooming dating sim" obviously inspired by Lessons in Love but focuses more on its underlying mysteries and how all of its characters relate to it and without as much of the grind and wiki-searching. Like its contemporary, it has a strong visual flair and strong comedic and story/character writing with a heavy focus on psychoanalysing its characters. It has rather low sexual content, when it does have h-scenes, it will be rather weird and/or focuses on realism. It really creates its own highly unique identity later on, the earlier parts can be a slow burn. Very importantly, the choices you make will matter. The character writing is amazing and the tricks used in the murder(s) are unique enough to give it its own identity. Where to get: Steam, Itch.io _______________________________________________________________________________ Solstice by MoaCube Notable tags: Multiple Protagonists, Mystery, Lots of Choices Templarseeker: Post-Apocalyptic Sci-Fi thriller of a VN Where to get: Steam, GOG _______________________________________________________________________________ Soundless by milk+ visual Notable tags: Bullying, Denpa, Cult, Mystery Zakamutt: Mercy sees things. It’s too bad that what she sees are warped distortions, filthy beetles, tentacles, horrifying flesh-beasts and all that, but at least it isn’t permanently on so she’s not quite Fuminori yet. Too bad it’s getting worse, though. Mercy lives in a small, secluded village; the village is strongly religious, ruled by the local church, and all the kids around see her as a convenient punching bag. But hey, it’s probably her fault anyway, she was cursed by sinning at the tender age of ten. She was seeing nice things before that. Mercy is the protagonist of Soundless, a game taking inspiration from the classic in the "denpa" subgenre of visual novels, which tends to concern itself with madness, unreliable narrators, and horror. Every person I've gotten to play Soundless has liked it, without exception. Any denpa fan that hasn't tried it is making a mistake. And I played it back when the well-received rerelease with an extra chapter wasn't even out yet. If you try nothing else, try this one: it's free! Although often overshadowed by it's more successful sibling (the other 4chan visual novel, Katawa Shoujo), I think its charm shines through. And that's really the appeal I find with this VN. Short, but very heartwarming and wholesome love story - I loved it. It's also one of the few EVNs that manage to pull off the japanese setting without being all cringey Bonus: Fuwanovel Review Where to get: Steam, Itch.io, Denpa, MangaGamer _______________________________________________________________________________ The Sekimeiya: Spun Glass by Trinitite Team Notable tags: Confinement, Mystery, Hard Science Fiction Danmaku: a highly elaborate ontological mystery visual novel. The music can be jarring and ear-grating at times and the characters can be pretty bland. One thing I can highly compliment this visual novel is the underlying mystery itself. It is highly engaging and may seem perplexing and complicated but the puzzle pieces connect together pretty nicely. You will answer about 50 questions at the end to solve it, you will be ranked with other players to see how you did. Greetings. My name is Tulio Ramírez, and I am founder of Maleiwa Games, a dev team from Latinamerica to create visual novels. I am the script writter and producer of our current project: The Sassy Detective, based on a novel in spanish named "La Detective Impertinente", published on Wattpad. It´s the story of Amanda Manrique, a peculiar, spicy and mischievous detective and her assistant, Fernando Salgado. They were hired by a japanese diplomat to solve a mysterious robbery in Japan. With the help of a priestess, Nishi Segawa, they start with the investigation, but anything could happen including spicy encounters with the girls of the story. They also are accompanied by Melanie, an idol pop with a bit of story with Fernando in the past, which strong feelings for him, in preparation for a concert in Japan. Originally developed by Norami Games, a latinamerican brand for visual novels and light novels, but due to their closure, I acquired the rights of the game. Now is fully done and about to be launched on December 20th, 2022, in itch.io. The game is written in spanish and english, improving the original art style of the Norami version, fixing bugs, and adding new features, like a censorship mode for streamings, a gallery for the special images and profiles for the characters. I haven't watched a lot of anime lately either. But i'll make up for it.

I haven't read many EVNs, but of the ones I have read there are two that I can confidently say I have primarily positive feelings towards (well, three actually, but Juniper's Knot is already on the list so I'm not counting that one). Cooking Companions is one of those horror VNs that has a bright and happy exterior. In general I find that style interesting but usually poorly executed; for this one though, I feel the execution is solid. The story feels pretty nonsensical early on, but by the end it perfectly walks the line of explaining enough for the story to make sense without explaining so much that it loses all sense of mystery. https://vndb.org/v28079 And of course my favorite EVN is Sucker for Love: First Date. In this novel Eldritch horrors are anime girls, you can date them and help them end reality. Despite it's dumb premise, this novel is both humorous and genuinely scary; it transitions between comedy and horror seamlessly and it absolutely nails both genres. https://vndb.org/v30662

Well as for that I afraid that Kirari (The name of the villainess character) may not fulfill the kind of villainess character that you're hoping seeing that she's more or less quite tame compared to the villainess in the manga/light novel, in which Rika here looks like more textbook example on the villainess there. So perhaps it might be better to tone down the expectation, although perhaps you may find yourself to like Kirari later on. I agree that it would be nice if some people can port Aksys otome VN into PC version, although perhaps Idea Factory are far more interested to port their usual RPG instead of trying to port otome VN. Speaking of them, while at least they'll also release Neptunia Sisters vs Sisters on PC later, I'm still waiting for them to finally released Mary Skelter Finale for PC later. By the way I did mention Idea Factory because all of Aksys licensed console otome VNs are produced by them, and yeah the exception of the otome VNs that are available on PC are not ported by Idea Factory.

(And sorry for the late reply, I realized only just now I that had the notifications for this thread turned off completely. x_x) Things were so busy on my side of things these past couple of weeks that I forgot to post updates over here on the forum but I'm glad to hear you appreciate seeing them over here, too! EGC is still coming this year! Release Date - December 13th! Mark your calendars, guys! And add the game to your wishlist over on Steam if you haven't already! ^^ We'll do our absolute best to release the game with its voice acting included. If for any reason we're unable to hit the deadline (voice actor struck down with a throat infection, for example), we'll release on the promised date anyway, and then patch the voices in as soon as we're able. We're aware that the timescale is quite tight, but we're pretty confident now about the release date - we know what's left to do, we know we can do it, and we definitely want you to be able to enjoy our tale before Christmas.

Well if I may comment is that now we have big three shounen franchise (Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece) have all of the manga material animated. That said, it's still surprising that the final arc of Bleach are not animated until now, especially if one consider that the final arc of Naruto was animated (And of course One Piece as well even though the manga just starting the final saga). Well once again good for Bleach fans that have been waiting for the final arc to be animated for years, and also at least Pierrot won't rush the adaptation like Inuyasha now that it's been confirmed that they'll air it in four cour with first cour will have 13 episodes, so at least there should be about 52 episodes if Pierrot consistently make each cours have 13 episodes.
