It'd be more enjoyable reading in a language you're fluent in. Even if all VNs are free, translating takes a lot of time unless you're super high level (which probably would take a long time to achieve anyways). Would you rather 1) Be alive and have power to see ghosts/dead people (always active). or 2) Be a ghost, and have power to possess the living.
